The quality got very bad, expensive items break really fast, the service became slower, quality lower. The price introduced for bags that rip very easily is shameful. Shopped for over 10 years and used to be much happier with everything.

Ever since the new CEO took over, the prices have gone up, the rewards have disappeared, the CEO has earned a massive salary hike, and the shareholders are very happy with their new increase in profits.

TK Maxx used to have nice rewards. These days they offer you a chance at a competition, or something so plastic, it's not worth having. In addition, when they offer you some products, you have to download the app or give your email address to the company which is giving it. In other words, it's just a ruse to get your email so that they can market to you.

I have now lost two rewards (and many more) because their rewards are just not having.

Another thing, their prices are now more expensive than the cost of the original item. When I queried that, they told me that it now had to be imported from the UK, and therefore there were customs duties. That may well be true, but I would then prefer to buy from the original brand owners rather than TK Maxx. Check your prices before you buy.

Thankfully, I will have access to much better stores in the future because I'm moving, and although another TK Maxx store will be close by, I have decided to remove my custom from the company. I don't like being treated like a fool.

I used to shop to TJ Maxx in the States, and it was a very different cup of teea to what TK Maxx is here. Thanks, but no thanks.

I am highly annoyed by the TK Maxx Dublin policy of charging 15 cents for a paper bag under the guise of "environmental grounds."
​If TK Maxx actually cared about the environment, the bag would be plain or carry an eco-message. Instead, it is covered in the TK Maxx logo—likely using non-biodegradable synthetic inks. I am effectively being charged to walk around and provide free advertising for a multi-million euro company.
​Charging 15c for a paper bag is scandalous and feels like a blatant profit-making exercise disguised as sustainability. If I’m paying for the bag, it’s my property—give me a bag without your logo on it.

I had fantastic service today from Gavin in the Drogheda store. So polite and so professional and went above and beyond in customer service for me.

I was blown away at how great the customer service was at TK Maxx Dublin. Not only did I find a suit for under eur100 that far surpassed the quality available on nearby Grafton Street for eur1000 but...

...when I found myself without my phone to pay for it there and then... the staff went above and beyond to make sure I got my (now favourite) suit!

I was stuck needing to get fitted out for an important meeting and left fully suited and booted, primed and ready for it with a smile on my face.

Thanks to everyone at TK Maxx: yet again saving the day!!

I don't usually leave reviews, but the service I’ve received lately has been so outstanding that I just had to share. I’ve been into TK Maxx Killarney a few times now and it’s always top-notch, truly above and beyond. It’s such a pleasure to shop somewhere where the staff genuinely care.

I’d love to give a special shout-out to Sonya on the first floor. She is absolutely brilliant. She’s been so patient every time I’ve visited, always answering my questions and showing me exactly where everything is.

She has helped me a few times in the fitting rooms as well, and I really appreciated her honest opinion on the outfits. It’s so refreshing to have someone give genuine advice rather than just a sales pitch. What I love most is how she points out bits I hadn’t even thought of buying. She has a real eye for what suits a customer and I’ve walked out with some amazing finds thanks to her help. Every visit has been a 10/10 experience and I’ll definitely be back again soon!

Oh am I fuming with TK Maxx , never ever again will I spend a cent with this store, of all Christmas seasons past , Christmas 2025 I wanted absolutely nothing to go wrong, but it could not have been worse, firstly my mom passed on Dec 11th , and I just wanted this Christmas week to go ahead as mom and I planned ,
I said at the dinner table I will buy the best Christmas crackers I could find this year , last year's ones were good, not great ,cracker fillers were decent and the jokes and questions, you would for sure laugh , they were about €10/€12 , but then in Killarney's TK Maxx this year I see a box of 6 very stylish looking Crackers for €19/€20 and immediately of course one would think these must be exceptional at this price, so I bought about 5 boxes , Christmas day at the dinner table what a complete disaster, disappointment and disbelief that a supposed to be a very reputable well known store TK Maxx actually had the cheek to litterly rob customers of hard earned money on such absolute RUBBISH ! so basically for a cheap nail cutters , that actually would not cut paper I paid €19 for and half of them would not even snap or crack ! oh my god what's the world coming to , never ever again will I set foot into this store , be WARNED !! people complain about Temu but I actually have had great experience, but TK Maxx !! I won't waste my time writing any more , bring back Argos , yes I have just read more bad reviews here and honestly if I could give no star I would ...

Today I visited the TK Maxx store in Killarney with my husband and young child. While using the fitting rooms, I felt extremely uncomfortable due to the behaviour of a staff member.
She counted my items, which I understand is store policy, but then repeatedly went through my clothes without explanation and stopped me again when I was leaving the fitting room to go to the till.
At no point did she clearly explain what the issue was, and the situation made me feel as though I was being treated with suspicion. This was especially upsetting as I am currently pregnant.
I have shopped in TK Maxx many times before and have never experienced anything like this, which made the situation particularly surprising and distressing.
I understand loss prevention procedures, but they should be carried out with clear communication and basic respect. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling stressed and uncomfortable, and I decided not to make a purchase.
I hope this feedback can be used to improve customer service and staff training in the future.

Terrible experience at TK Maxx Killarney. The cosmetic bag I wanted had a price tag in pounds instead of euros — which is against Irish law. When I asked for help, the manager was rude and refused to check the price, then charged me €6 more than the same item in another colour.

Staff rolled their eyes, sighed, and looked at me disrespectfully. As a woman wearing a hijab, I felt discriminated against and humiliated. No one apologized. I overpaid and left feeling very upset. TK Maxx should train their staff and fix this behaviour immediately.

Very reasonable prices for branded products

I have shopped at TK Maxx for over 10 years. Blanch, Drogheda and now Navan. It was always good,you could get something nice by a known brand at a reasonable price. I usually would buy jeans. However since brexit I've noticed a big decline in the Irish stores. There are no good brands anymore, all they stock now is cheap overpriced rubbish. I'm a man so maybe it's better in the women's department. In the old days they used to plant special items amongst the rubbish. They don't anymore. They don't have to, people are buying this tat.

Tracy a manager at the Norwich store actually she isn't a manager at all but a floor manager but then again i wouldn't expect the truth from someone like that. she tells l me that child abusers are too high up to take down ( that theirs no point in even trying ).
Id like her to know through this review that I can show her reams of photos of child abusers mug shots in prison. I have no idea why she would ever say such a provocation statement apart from the allegation they engage in safeguarding offences using phones to conceal it.

purchased this item from TK Maxx in New Cross Gate two or three months ago for just £8. There were a few different shapes available, and I really liked the design.

I always check product descriptions carefully before buying anything whether it's food, drinks, clothes, or other items. This product is MADE IN CHINA, which made me hesitant, but I decided to try it anyway.

Unfortunately, it stopped working in less than six months.

⚠️Be careful with this type of handwash dispenser (they come in a few different shapes). I recommend AVOIDING it both at TK Maxx and anywhere else it might be sold.

The castlebar store is very good. Spacious and always quality stuff at great prices. The staff in the dressing room are always nice and the tellers are courteous.

I'm not sure the Treasure program does much. They probably should re-evaluate the offering.

Very bad customer service today at Bedford store with manager totally ignorant and unwilling to provide any customer service regarding an exchange! Unfortunately, not the first time this happens at TKMaxx personally and as I can see from other reviewers' experiences.

THIS COMPANY IS A OUTRAGE. THEY CARE NOTHING FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. WENT TO EXCHANGE A FAULTY ITEM AND THE SERVICE WAS ABUSIVE,RUDE,HOSTILE AND UTTERLY UNACCEPTABLE. COMLAINED TO HEAD OFFICE AND IT GOT WORSE.. BASICALLY THEY TOLD ME TO GET LOST!!!!!!

I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. UTTERLY INCREDULOUS INDEFENSIBLE SERVICE.

They have kitchen knives for sale but they won't sell them without ID, they say it's a policy and nothing more, I'm 57 years old and I have to show ID, I felt like I was in a totalitarian country, I went to another store and they sold me a kitchen knife without any problems.

Visited the Athlone store and there were lots of nice products for sale at reasonable enough prices. Lady on till upstairs was extremely helpful. Only downside was that I couldn't find two items to make a set!
