To be clear, this is not to dismiss those services — they work well for certain types of learners — but for self-studying students with a solid English foundation like me, they had clear gaps: their question banks are mostly limited to old TPO sets and official sample questions, with no fresh simulated full exams; they do not offer line-by-line feedback for writing and speaking sections, which makes self-directed improvement really difficult; and their subscription models are locked into monthly or annual plans at not-so-competitive prices, plus their sales teams reach out very frequently pushing thousands-of-yuan paid courses that hold little appeal for independent self-studiers.
