Made a booking online at 8pm for 3 people for dinner at 21:15. Drove over 30 miles to be called 2mins from the place that they stopped serving food at 9pm. Are you joking me? We travelled an hour after getting confirmation and were basically told tough. The lady on the phone was polite but said are you sure you didnt book drinks. No we didnt. I have the email confirmation. Why does your system allow you to book tables for dinner when you arent serving food. So I travelled 60 miles in total for nothing. Really angry about this and expect and apology and discounted meal for wasting two hours of my life and a fortune in diesel. I've ticked the option for this to be passed to head office. Lets see if they care enough to resolve.

Sarah from Customer Relations contacted me very apologetic. There was an error in their system which has now been corrected. £50 goodwill voucher given and more than happy with the outcome hence the update to 5 stars

Asked for bread for the table & we got 5 little bits between 9🤔
Worst part is everyone was cold asked several times to put the heating on and still the radiators were still cold after we sat there 2 hours.Only Luke warm water in bathrooms,air dryer not working and no paper towels.NO ONE WANTS TO SIT HAVING A MEAL IN THE COLD OR WE COULD ALL SAVE MONEY AND GO OUTSIDE TO A BURGER VAN/

When contacting customer relations regarding a complaint the response was appalling and hadn’t addressed my concerns at all.

My complaint was about a staff table on a busy Sunday evening at 7.30pm and how unprofessional it was when I was being discussed by this table. The response is just a total P*** take of having a customer relations department

I ordered £100 of vouchers for my husband's Christmas present. We visited the Yarm dine in branch soon after. The parmos were burnt, we did not get the drinks we ordered and some items were never brought to us and we were left for over 20 minutes with the dirty plates on our table and therefore in a timed slot we could not order coffees etc. We complained to a staff member who said that she “would let the manager know.” At the end of the meal my husband showed them the voucher and he was told how much was left on the vouchers for next time. When we got home, using their online menus, we worked out that our bill was 10% more than it should have been. We spoke to friends and they told us that there was usually a 10% service charge added to the bill that we knew nothing about. According to consumer law ratified into 2015 restaurants are not supposed to add on charges that customers know nothing about.
I have complained to my local trading standards department and I suggest anyone else who gets duped into paying 10% extra when the service is not good (and I appreciate that lots of waiters and waitresses work extremely hard) contact their local council trading standards people too.
Trading Standards reply:
If you were not made aware of the service charge in advance and certainly before payment, this be a breach of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, which are enforced by Trading Standards.
The company did contact me and sort the matter out very recently. I would suggest contacting their head office for support first. Then contact your own trading standards dept. If that doesn’t work.

Tomahawk Stockton Heath

Pretty poor experience all round. Heating was broke so the place was freezing. Engineer coming from Newcastle I was told - couldn’t understand this but I’m sure there is a reason for it.

Starter was wrong and had to go back.

Main meal which was a chicken parmo had to go back as it didn’t remotely resemble a parmo. It looked like a piece of KFC chicken with melted cheese on. I don’t think the chef knows what a parmo is as if they did there would be no way this would have been served. Swapped it for a ribeye steak which was ok but by the time this had come my partner had finished her meal. Chips and onion rings that came with the steak were awful too.

Wife’s steak was ok but the rest of her meal was below average too.

Won’t be back in a hurry. The parmo needs taking off the menu if the chefs don’t know how to do them.

Won’t be rushing back.

Went to tomahawk restaurant Monday 13-12-21 had their Xmas dinner which was terrible the food was cold and undercooked
Sprouts raw and burnt
Yorkshire budding burnt
Served compressed turkey
Roast potatoes cold and pale not golden and crispy
Stuffing salty
Gravey gloppy and Luke warm
Overall terrible meal
We complained and they took one meal off the final bill and the manageress never came over to apologies but sent over the young waitress to do her work
If anyone is going for the Christmas fare please think again my advice is don’t go find somewhere else
I have had better Sunday meals from a carvary costing a fraction of the price

Tomahawk Steakhouse in Stockton Heath. Went for lunch. Got there early and so they weren't busy. Our server was really nice. The food wasn't though. My partners Chicken Shawarma had cold tough chicken that tasted of very little with promised elements (from reading the menu) missing from it. The accompanying salad was undressed and looked very much like supermarket 'bistro' salad with some tomato and peppers added. It had some slimey leaves in the bottom of the tiny bowl it came in.

I had a steak which was fine (only fine - no better than that) but the Chimichurri dressing on it tasted of nothing and it seemed small for the promised weight on the menu.

We were glad we didn't order starters and didn't want dessert.

The bill came to slightly over £40 for a Sharmarma wrap, a 8oz rump steak and 2 colas. I would categorise it as rubbish. Overpriced food lazily cooked with no care or love. It wasn't so offensive as to risk 'Winner's dinners' by complaining but instead there are so many better places to go locally and I won't be going back.

Eaten twice in York both occasions cold and tasteless food!
I decided to give it a second try as my first experience was when it had first opened!
Our sharing platter came out with in 5 mins of sitting down, it was even on the table before we had even received our drinks.
I asked for assistance and told a staff member that it was freezing and tasteless.
The waitress then came over asked me to pass her an onion ring so she could check the temperature with her own fingers if we were telling the truth.
That was enough for me to never return!

I had never been to tomahawk stakehouse in Darlington before and I went tonight for my birthday and I have to say the meal was outstanding I would definitely recommend going food quality is 5/5,it's a friendly environment and the service was amazing the staff are so friendly and professional and there is so much to choose from on the menu there is something for everyone.

Visited Yarm branch. I booked for restaurant week (3 courses for £15) was offered 5.15 or 5.30 so took 5.30 only to get there and told that the offer was only till 5pm. Why then was I offered 5.15 or 5.30. The manager was very rude about this and wouldn't budge. Waitresses don't rush to take your order and I had to ask to order. To be fair the meal came quickly. The waitress was very pleasant and did point out at the end about the 10% service charge and said I didn't have to pay it if I didn't want to. Like another person who has done a review I was asked if I wanted water for the table. Never told it would be £3.50 a bottle. Did I think the meal was special - no. Did I think the place had a good atmosphere - no. Did I think the food was overpriced - yes. Would I go again - no.

visited Newcastle Quayside branch today, food was very nice but be aware when they say would you like water it’s £3.50 per bottle, but if it is not expensive enough they sneak a 10% tip on your bill and don’t tell you, i’m annoyed as i did not see this and gave them £5 cash tip, only realised once i’d got home, could potentially be a scam, company need to tell there staff to make customers aware of this 10% tip so they can decide😤

Visited Stockton Heath tomahawk Steakhouse - food cooked to perfection (had a booth for 4 people which was great) no - complaints had a great night will recommend.

STAFF VERY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL. QUAYSIDE NEWCASTLE BRANCH FILTHY OUTSIDE WHEN WE ARRIVED AND STILL THE SAME WHEN WE LEFT. £59 FOR SHARING PLATTER, SIDE PORTIONS RIDICULOUSLY SMALL FOR AVERAGE PRICE OF £4. ONION RINGS ARRIVED WHEN WE WERE NEARLY FINISHED. WORST PART WERE THE TRIPPLE COOKED CHIPS. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, LOOKED OLD, NEARLY BLACK AND NO POTATO INSIDE AND COLD. REPLACEMENT GIVEN, ONLY DIFFERENCE WAS THEY WERE HOT BUT STILL DISGUSTING. TABLE SPOON OR SLIGHTLY MORE BARBECUE SAUCE! RIDICULOUS. MANAGERESS AMENDED THE FINAL BILL, BUT STILL A VERY DISAPPOINTING NIGHT. WILL NOT BE BACK.

Avoid going to one of theses restaurant's to eat.

Goodness me. I have been and the staff were beyond helpfull I hope they find employment where they are respected.

Treatment of your staff at the Beverley branch. Shame on you. Please avoid but comment on their FB page - they are quite busy blocking people.
