I've used a number of different music transcription services over the years, with mixed results. Some transcriptions were decent, others needed a lot of correction, and with the bigger websites you never know who you're going to get. The quality can really vary depending on who handles your order.

After initially finding transcribeasong.com from their fantastic transcription of Jon Batiste's rendering of Blackbird, I have come back over the past couple years to request custom transcriptions for a further 5 songs.

In addition to always delivering on-time and with great quality, one of the key benefits for me is their ability to not just transcribe but also re-arrange a song to fit the requested number of instruments.

(In my case, I have requested songs with vocals and several instrumental parts be arranged into a 3-line Piano + Vocals arrangement – and even with a couple tricky pieces, the results have been great!)

I found Transcribeasong for chance on youtube while a was looking for a video where the cast of the movie "My best friend's marriage" sang "I say a little prayer", and youtube gave me back his video with the transcription.
I then contacted him to ask for the transcription of "Bridge over troubled water" like played by Richard Tee in the 1981 Simon & Garfunkel Central Park concert, a transcription I have never found on the internet.
In just a few days he sent me by mail the transcription pdf, midi and musicxml files, a great transcription, exactly what I was looking for to be played on a CP80 piano sound!
Glad I found him!
