service was amazing with regards to prep and follow up, our nanny Eri was awesome she was prompt respectful and really kind to our very opinionated little girl. She helped translate for us which was a god send hahaha made our first time in japan during a cold rainy season much more comfortable!

We used travel nanny in both Tokyo and Osaka. It was such a great experience that we added more days as the trip went on. The kids loved hanging out with the nanny which made it great when we wanted to get some time for shopping or date nights. 10/10 will be using them again when we visit Japan.

I had to cancel my original dates due to a medical emergency with my child and reschedule for the following week. The Travel Nanny was gracious enough to accommodate this change at no extra charge. In such a stressful situation as a child’s medical emergency, having a company that works with you feels like genuine support.

The team was professional, prompt and responsive throughout the process, especially given my last minute booking request. They found me an incredible nanny match.

My nanny Celeste was amazing! She made our trip to Tokyo possible. She took my infant son and I around to sightsee Tokyo, ensuring that the things we did and places we went were infant-friendly. She was my translator and my guide to the complex public transportation system in Tokyo.
Celeste also helped me organize and pack to move from one AirBnB to another. Cooked delicious Japanese meals for my toddler. Did groceries for us. And so much more. In such a short time, she became a part of our family and an invaluable asset and support for me as I navigated Tokyo alone with my toddler. Celeste was very accommodating to schedule changes, as well. Just a genuinely kind, thoughtful and caring nanny for my toddler and support for me as the mom. Anyone who gets Celeste as their travel nanny is truly lucky!

We’ve been traveling internationally with our children for years and always try to plan at least one date night while away. Finding a sitter we feel comfortable leaving our kids with is often the hardest part.

When our hotel concierge recommended The Travel Nanny, I was excited to learn more. I scheduled an informational call and was pleasantly surprised to meet the CEO herself.

After booking, I received five incredible resumes — any one of them would have been highly qualified to care for our children. We chose Naoka, and she was fantastic. She arrived early, brought crafts for the girls to enjoy before bed, and even helped us secure a last-minute dinner reservation.

The next morning, our youngest even said she “missed her,” which says it all.

I was truly impressed by the experience from start to finish and would highly recommend this service.

We used the Travel Nanny on our trip to Tokyo. It was our first international trip with our 3.5yr old son and we were overwhelmed with trying to navigate the city. Our nanny Nanase was so great with taking our son to the park and helping him burn energy every day. We even got to get some date nights in while she stayed with our son. She was helpful with recommendations for food with him too so we wouldn’t just be ordering from the hotel everyday. Our trip wouldn’t have been as relaxing without her! Can’t wait to visit again!

Our boys (2 and 5) loved playing with Emily as my wife and I enjoyed a date night. She was communicative the entire time sending us photos and updates. Booking was also seamless and quick.

Suzu was absolutely incredible and played a huge role in making our trip to Hokkaido such a wonderful experience. She is kind, loving, thoughtful, and incredibly intelligent. Even though she hadn’t worked with many families with the Travel Nanny before us, she arrived fully prepared and took the time to clearly understand our expectations.

She went above and beyond in ways we didn’t anticipate — researching details about traveling with a baby in Japan and even teaching us things we didn’t know, like how Japanese pull-up diapers differ from those in the U.S. She helped us navigate daily life in Japan with confidence and ease.

Suzu also thoughtfully planned activities for our baby, making each day engaging and enjoyable. It was clear she genuinely cared about creating a positive and enriching experience, not just providing basic childcare.

We were lucky enough to have Nanase spend time with our family on a recent trip to Tokyo. My 3 and 5 year old both immediately warmed up to her and always wanted to know when they would see her next when we parted ways. Having her as an extra set of eyes and hands was amazing, especially as we navigated crowds. She even took our kids to a fun indoor play place while my husband and I went to lunch. My high level of comfort having Nanase watch my children combined with their love for her is a testament to Nanase’s abilities. We hope to return to Tokyo in the future and reunite with Nanase! The entire experience working with Bev, Nanase, and the whole Travel Nanny team has been seamless.

Our toddler absolutely loved the time she spent with Nanase! I was extremely hesitant about hiring a complete stranger to watch our daughter but from the minute Nanase arrived, her warm and friendly presence put us at ease. She spent the day with us, keeping our daughter entertained while we shopped and she proactively sent pictures and updates the entire time. We also had her watch our daughter while we went out for dinner and drinks and she was able to put her to bed after an evening of playing. We are back home now and my daughter has asked me about Nanase because she truly enjoyed their time together. Overall I highly recommend using Travel Nanny to find high quality and trustworthy childcare while traveling.

Rose cared for our 5 month old baby during our recent trip to Tokyo, so my husband and I could go on two date nights! Everything was perfect! Rose was on time and problem solved throughout the evening to settle our daughter so our night was not interrupted. We can’t recommend her enough! We used Travel Nanny for the first time based on a recommendation from our hotel in Tokyo, and the experience was excellent. Our nanny, Julia, connected with our 3-year-old daughter from the moment she walked into the room. She came fully prepared with coloring pages and activities, and immediately asked where we keep the EpiPen and any other medications, something that gave us a lot of peace of mind.

Throughout the evening she sent us photo and video updates, and after plenty of playtime she put our daughter to sleep with no issues.

Our experience with Hiromi was nothing but great.
The communication prior to the babysitting night was good and we felt comfortable from the get go. She asked for our 4 year old son’s night time routine and he likes so she could connect with him directly.
On the night of the babysitting, Hiromi arrived on time and she immediately made our son feel comfortable.
She sent regular updates with pictures throughout the night.
Two months after our son’s one night with Hiromi, he still asks about her and when he’ll be able to see her again. We would highly recommend Hiromi for anyone looking for a babysitter in Tokyo.

The process was simple and straight forward. Appreciated the call from Bev personally to explain how Travel Nanny works. There was also transparency of communication with Bev, admin and also the nanny. Options given were good and Mika was great with the kids. She even managed to put the kids to bed in time too! Communication was easy with Mika and she understood the kids routine well and was able to put the kids at ease easily.

We had an amazing experience with Monica as our travel nanny during our trip to Japan. We were honestly very back and forth about arranging childcare while traveling internationally for the first time, but choosing Monica was one of the best decisions we made.

I cannot express what a blessing it was to have travel nanny during our recent trip to Japan. My husband and I had bucket list dreams to do a fancy omakase and also to enjoy the izakayas of golden gai- both of which we could not do with our 9yo in tow. Luckily travel nanny saved the day and truly made our life-long dream a reality. Enjoying Japan with our daughter, but also enjoying those adult only experiences. Since our daughter is older she is very opinionated about who she is comfortable around- but getting to see a video and bio of the nanny ahead of time put all of our minds at ease. After their time together my daughter was begging my husband and I to find something to do alone so she could spend more “girl time” with the nanny, whom my daughter saw as as her cool older sister/ bestie figure. We are so grateful. I cannot recommend this service enough and wish it existed in every possible destination!
