Update with the WORST travel of a joke company ever. So the CEO Tauseef, decided to change our hotel in Makkah on our 4th night bearing in mind we are there for 7 nights. 4 nights we spent in a 3 star which was showing on Google reviews as below 1 star hotel. Then he moved us to another hotel further away from the Haram so we could only travel by bus as there was no walking paths. He also did not give us breakfast on our first night at the new hotel so we all 9 of us went hungry even after paying for the breakfast. He then claimed we were harassing him after asking why we were not put onto the breakfast list after paying for bed and breakfast. He then began to threaten us by saying we are harassing his staff. So out of the 7 nights of bed and breakfast in a 4 star hotel as booked we ended up having 4 nights in a 3 star but the reception staff said its probably a 1 star hotel another night without breakfast altogether and then 2 nights of having to be so far from the Haram we had to set off more than an hour early for each salah and even stay at the haram bc the hotel was too far to go back in time for the next salah.
We are now in our Madinah Hotel. We just checked in. The Google reviews are saying this is a 1 star hotel. That the conditions of the rooms are dirty, the elevators are malfunctioning. Also they said we only have 2 rooms with 4 beds in each there are 9 of us so we said where are one of us supposed to sleep. He just said your agency did not tell us. So once again they have been fraudulent with us. We have now been told a mattres will be brought up and put on the floor in one of the rooms meaning 5 people in 1 room. This is outrageous. This company needs closing down and being taken to court for theft, fraud and dishonesty.
I hope anyone reading this can avoid this disgusting people and have a blessed journey. Save yourselves as we are telling you about the fraud they are doing.
We wish someone had informed us before they trapped us.

UPDATE – NOW IN MADINAH

Unfortunately, the problems have continued.

We have now arrived in Madinah, and once again this agency has made what should have been a peaceful and blessed journey incredibly stressful. I have honestly never felt so stressed, disgusted and appalled by the way a company has treated its customers.

Once again, we were NOT GIVEN THE HOTEL WE BOOKED. Without our knowledge or consent, the agency changed our accommodation yet again and placed us in what appears to be a 2-star hotel. As I have repeatedly said throughout these reviews, we paid our hard-earned money for a 4-star hotel, yet this agency has continuously failed to provide the standard we paid for.

To make matters even worse, there are 9 of us travelling together. The agency only booked 2 rooms with 4 beds each, meaning there was ONE PERSON WITHOUT A BED. Instead of providing the additional room that was needed, the hotel simply squeezed an extra mattress into an already cramped room, making it even more uncomfortable.

This entire trip has been filled with broken promises, last-minute changes, poor accommodation, missing services and constant stress. Whenever we raise concerns, we are ignored or given empty promises instead of real solutions.

Based on our experience, DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS AGENCY. We feel completely let down and believe they have shown little regard for their customers' wellbeing. If you are considering booking your Umrah through them, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere and avoid going through what our family has had to endure. The agency showed absolutely no compassion or empathy towards my mother, who struggles to walk long distances. Even after making them fully aware of her condition, they moved us to a hotel much farther from the Haram than the one we had paid for. Their complete disregard for her wellbeing made an already distressing situation even more difficult.

This has been the worst travel company I have ever dealt with.

I strongly urge anyone thinking of booking with this company to consider their decision very carefully. Our experience has been extremely disappointing from beginning to end.

We booked and signed a package, paid for it in instalments, and completed the final payment several months before our departure. Despite receiving full payment, the company repeatedly changed our flights and hotel without our knowledge or permission. We were repeatedly assured that our original hotel and flights had been secured, only to later discover that they had been changed. This left us feeling completely misled.

We intend to report our experience to the relevant authorities because we believe we have been treated unfairly, and we want to make others aware of what happened to us.

It is deeply disappointing that a company advertising Umrah packages, for a journey of such great spiritual significance, would treat its customers in such a despicable way.

The CEO, Mian Touseef, informed us that the replacement hotel was a 4-star property. However, upon arriving, we were shocked by the condition of the rooms. When we raised our concerns with the reception staff, we were informed that the hotel is actually a 3-star property and the rooms we had been given were actually “the best” in the hotel. We had specifically booked and paid for a 4-star hotel months in advance.

When we requested to be transferred to the hotel we had originally booked, or at the very least another equivalent 4-star hotel, we were told that repairs would be carried out instead. This is simply not an acceptable solution. Carrying out repairs does not change the hotel’s rating from 3 stars, nor does it provide the standard of accommodation that we paid for. We should not have to wait for repairs during our pilgrimage when we had already paid in advance for a different and higher standard of accommodation.

To make matters worse, on our very first day, my uncle went to perform wudu using the shower and noticed that the water appeared discoloured. When he reported this to reception, a member of staff explained that it could be due to rust in the pipes. This only increased our concerns about the cleanliness and overall condition of the hotel.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend booking with this company. We found the communication, the handling of our booking, and the accommodation provided to be completely unacceptable and far below what we were promised and had paid for.

We will update this review to let others know whether the CEO honours our request to provide what we originally paid for in advance, or whether he chooses to ignore us once again.

We will inform you if the CEO respects our demands for what we ORIGINALLY PAID for in ADVANCE or if he ignores us once again.

I have good experience with shook travels . I booked my umrah package through them from glasgow to istanbul and KSA .. Overall experience was fine and prices are reasonable . Aima tries her best .. thanks shook travels Hope to use their service in future as well 👍

Spoke to Aima in regards to my umrah package, she did an outstanding job and conducted a thorough search to find me the best deal, I’d recommend travelshook for all your travel needs.

I have had an EXTREMELY bad experience with Travels Hook.

I dealt with Muhammad Ali and Faiz Fareed, who were organising my Umrah trip, and my experience with them has been unacceptable. In my opinion, they were dishonest throughout the process and repeatedly failed to honour what was agreed.

If you are considering booking with this agency, NEVER PAY WITH BANK TRANSFER – ONLY CREDIT CARD. Even if you are paying in instalments, PAY WITH CREDIT CARD so you have your bank's protection if anything goes wrong.

We paid for our Umrah package in full, yet they changed our flights from EgyptAir to Wizz Air and expected us to accept just £50 per person as compensation.

Despite making FULL PAYMENT two months before our departure from the UK, they changed my hotel just 4 DAYS before I was due to fly. The replacement hotel was TWICE THE DISTANCE FROM THE HARAM and had a LOWER RATING, all WITHOUT MY CONSENT.

I was left with no real choice but to accept because they stopped responding to my emails and calls. I felt completely ignored at a time when I urgently needed answers.

I am due to fly in 2 DAYS, and based on how they have treated me so far, I HAVE NO HOPE THEY WILL SUPPORT ME IF I FIND ANY PROBLEMS OVER THERE.

I will update this review when I return from my trip to let others know how everything went.
