My wife has been using Trugreen for over 10 years. Service has been top notch up until about summer of 2020. Now we had an occasional issue prior to that with leaky hose that killed grass in that area... Toon meer

Do NOT use this company. They failed to follow their own procedures (such as the initial lawn eval) and they don't Quality Check it. It is up to the CUSTOMER to find it, call them out on it and try to get it rescheduled.
They also fail to keep you in the loop of any date changes, instead letting you flounder and wondering where they hell they are at. Go with ANY company other than this because even though they say "You are a valued customer", sure doesn't feel like both by their actions and lack of communication.
Their customer service has TANKED since 2018. I will give their chat representatives credit because they atleast understood what was going on and why people are cancelling.
Do not ever contact the for anything and you MUST check out bbb.org, they are 1 star with hundreds if not thousands of complaints. I will NOT be contacting them, because I know what they will do.
Even though I cancelled my service LAST WEEK, they still sent out a guy on 8 April....even though I called them April 7 after received an automated phone call and said NOT to send him and if he shows up and comes on my property, I will file trespassing!! Well lo and behold, he arrived TODAY (because the office didn't do any communication), and he is lucky that I caught him before he stepped onto my property. Do NOT do business with this company as they do not care about you, no good communication and yoou are NOT a valued customer!!

My wife has been using Trugreen for over 10 years. Service has been top notch up until about summer of 2020. Now we had an occasional issue prior to that with leaky hose that killed grass in that area but Trugreen made it right each time by plugging grass with new. The service and honesty with them was good. Then all the sudden in 2020 if we had questions or requests they would go unanswered or slowed response. The first issue we had was that spray Reps would not give us our phone call warning or door knock upon service. We have three dogs!!! We needed to know when service was happening so we did not burn our dogs paws by letting them out in the fresh spray. The company said that with Covid 19 they do not door knock. My wife then told them to call. That was a struggle for some unknown reason and since then to date is spotty. That’s one issue. Number two issue is one I seen complained about by many other customers. The Rep would come out and a few times it seemed he sat in his truck but we were unsure until one day they said they serviced our yard but our front door motion camera NEVER once chimed or showed movement in front yard. We then asked my brother who was staying in our house and working at home to watch on the day that they are to come. First time the Rep came out as said and my brother watched him and he never dragged a hose out and left in 5 minutes. My wife complained via phone. They gave us a date for follow up visit after intense argument with complaint department that their Service Reps are being lazy. They came out a few days later and sprayed yard. Then we got charged for that visit which ticked my wife off and warranted her having to call them to remove charge. Terrible communication and notes among the company employees or this would not have happened. So after that visit I went out to yard and inspected. I immediately felt that the gate to our back yard was never opened. It drags the ground and there were no fresh drag marks. Couldn’t prove it so we asked my brother again to watch on next visit for Rep to be in back yard. On the next regular visit to our surprise the Rep never even sprayed the front or back and my brother called my wife to warn her. She immediately called the customer service and complained. The excuse was that the equipment on the truck malfunctioned and they left to get repairs. Funny thing is that we still had the charge on our bill and that my neighbor down the road got serviced by same truck after us? Total deception and lack of honesty. These folks obviously have no QC any longer or management over looking their Service Reps like they did prior to 2020. Not sure what changed but it is being ran with poor quality or folks that don’t care about product and clients. But get this, I am not done. 3rd problem was that when they rectified the problem with Rep not spraying yard and deleted additional service charge a Rep came back out for the missed service and I was home. I observed him getting out the hose and also spraying my front and side yard. I went back in house satisfied and continued working on a project out in back yard. After about 30 minutes went by we never seen the Rep in back yard. I went out front to check and he was gone. So once again my wife had to call and complain. Once again when the Rep was contacted by service they made another excuse up about equipment failure and had to leave. This happened again on next visit also. I told my wife to canx them and end contract because of dishonesty and poor service but some how they apologized to her the right way and she continued service into 2022. Well guess what? Just like several other customers are complaining in reviews we got our grass burnt to hell this last visit. Now our pretty yard has burn patches everywhere that showed up first day after the spraying. We are currently in communication with Trugreen about this but they are slow rolling us and not returning calls that service department promised we would get. No one has come out to investigate the burnt grass and it is over a week now. I never knew that these folks had sooooo many 1 star reviews until today when I decided to write one myself. As a Senior ranked Navy retiree and contractor department head I have no other belief with past two years of service from from Trugreen, that they have either changed some senior management positions with the wrong people, they have lowered their hiring standards with service techs and not teaching them etiquette and quality plus basic knowledge of chemical mixtures and application, and or the owners just don’t care anymore about company future. None the less the facts are there and this is not speculation. I am experiencing the poor service myself and looking at reviews there is no doubt this company is in trouble and is poorly managed from service crews on up. C. Coffin

I followed all of their monthly directions left by their rep. They told me I started the program too late for the application to work. I cancelled the service.
In February of this year (2022) in reengaged the company starting in the month they suggested. After every application in they told me the weeds would die within 2 weeks which never occurred. In fact they got worse. After another 90 days I terminated the service today.
Furthermore, you can NEVER get anyone on the phone with authority - just a call center is not helpful only excuses
I will be posting numerous reviews to inform customers of this horrible service. In my opinion this company is a scam. Beware!
