I recently reached out to TrustedPros about one of their contractors Anthony of Home Details Improvement who was hired to do our bathroom renovation. A two week renovation was dragged out for two years. The contractor Anthony guaranteed his work and we put our trust in him. As requested we paid him in full before the job was completed. In the end we had to hire another contractor to fix the shower and to replace the heated floor. Anthony of Home Details Improvement refused to come back and fix these major problems saying it was past their one year warranty even though the job had been dragged out due to no shows. Anthony refused calls and messages from us, and during the Reno many times did not show up as scheduled without any notice to let us know. I supplied TrustedPros with all the text messages to and from Anthony to hopefully hold this contractor accountable for this terrible and incomplete Reno, and unacceptable rude customer service. The response from TrustedPros was that the contractor is sticking to the one year contract and we will have to pay someone else to fix it (another $5,000). I am shocked that TrustedPros, even with all the evidence we provided of correspondence to/from Anthony that they are not able to do anything because of the one year contract. I would never recommend Anthony for a Reno as the job they did was unsatisfactory and never completed, the constant no shows and unreturned messages, not to mention how stressful and disappointing it was for us. And I am extremely disappointed that all TrustedPros cares about is a one year contract when our records prove the delays they caused, the terrible customer service and unfinished bathroom issues and extra costs we had to pay to get this Reno fixed and finished. I would appreciate a reply from TrustedPros as to why this is acceptable business practices in their opinion.

They won't post bad reviews.

They won't even remove the contractor's positive reviews per their website after the contractor threaten to sue me for my unpublished negative(but factual) review.

Trusted pros will not post negative reviews on any contractors, as they may get the backlash. terrible service for promtimg a contactor and not allowing any negative reviews. seems a bit suspicious.

Stay away from CAS appliances. Hortbile service ans they dont care about you We have been stuck with no fridge for 2 weeks.The fridge is only thirty four days old.

TrustedPros is untrustworthy and you cannot count on reviews on their portal or write one about your bad experience. I do not understand why TrustedPros only wants good reviews of businesses on its portal. I wrote a 5-star review of a business and it was readily accepted and the CS rep wrote me, I need not submit any supporting docs. But when I wrote a 1-star review, it was rejected by a CS rep who told me to stick to the facts as if this lowly rep knows more about my bad experience and related facts than I do. I narrated my experience by showing supporting doc for each sentence of the review in the attached photos. This site also wanted my signed contract, the payments I made, receipts, and so on as if I am in the court. I have no problem providing TrustedPros with all those voluminous docs but my concern is that CS reps do not have the intellectual ability to analyse them. TrustedPros had all flimsy excuses as to why it would not publish my review. Every time, it had one asnwer stick to the facts. My answer to it was I know my facts far better then it would ever know and my docs prove it.

I worked for green key Builders for a solid year when i thought i could be a carpenter. I don't know much about TrustedPros yet but I can honestly say GreenKey Builders does everything always for his clients and always puts them first and knows his stuff always. Based on GreenKey's handling his clients, There A-team in my opinion. I will be doing another review on Trusted Pros as a whole in the future. In short, Even thoe I was fired from my carpenter apprentice experience at GreenKey, im going to give them a 5 star for now based on Just GreenKey's handling there customers.

Do not trust this review website. They state, and I quote, “We will never allow businesses to pay for a review alteration, editing, or removal. Published reviews have undergone strict examination to avoid fraudulent/fake review publishing.” This is 100% false. I posted a review of a window installation on August 8th. I put together 3 zip files containing the full conversations between myself and the contactor, the finisher, and a tiler. As well as photographs with times stamps to back up my claims. I provided pictures of my e-transfers, as well as the contract. But TrustedPros just kept demanding more evidence, which was located in the zip files I provided. And good luck trying to contact a real human to talk to and no one will ever call you back. I would like to point out that I sent the exact same information was sent to HomeStars and Bark and my review was posted after the information I sent was reviewed. In fact the contactor was removed from Bark all together due to his unprofessional behavior and misuse of their platform. I do not trust any reviews posted on this website, and neither should you. I would recommend finding real reviews on Bark or HomeStars. This website is just a shill for shady contactors.

It’s a scam
I have a listing on their site for a business that doesn’t exist anymore and they refuse to take it down, I did lawn care and for a long time do hardscaping now and they still have it as a grass cutting company. Looks bad when you promote yourself as a member of landscape Ontario hard scape but some scam site lists you as a grass cutting business.
I also have a flawless 5 star rating across the net but because you have to have a membership in order to get the 5th star and provide confidential documents on trusted pros it shows as a 3.5 star with ZERO reviews as the block positive reviews unless you pay.

Complete fraud and scam make you purchase stars which is fraud.

The scam artist who runs this extortion racket is named Max Shepard. He's an incel that lives in his basement extorting legit businesses across the US and Canada by posting fake reviews and claiming businesses are closed to turn away customers. They signed us up for an email list and require a password we never created to get unsubscribe. Against the law and completely disgusting and unethical.

As a contractor you can NEVER remove your profile or personal information from this site. I don't do construction anymore but people still call for work to be done. Now I might have to change the number, ITS TERRIBLE!

They post bad reviews with no screening and hold back good reviews. Then they ask you to pay. It's a sham. Max Shepard the owner had an old site Canadian handyman it was shut down due to bad publicity. The guy is fraud imo.

What a terrible company and to think that people actually rely on them for accurate and honest info. I am really glad I came here and read the other reviews because now I see that I am not the only person who has had problems with them. Despite receiving the Court documents from me indicating that I brought legal action against the contractor,TrustedPros removed my review because the contractor, who is a compulsive liar and convicted criminal, lied and stated that I stole $4,000.00 worth of tools and that he is suing me. The false statement provided by the contractor was not supported by any documentation (because there is none) but still TrustedPros accepted what he said and then posted this on their web site.
If you are a homeowner looking for a contractor, use another website that is honest. You cannot rely on TrustePros.

They have made up a website stating my company is no longer in business. This is a false statement and they are trying to sabotage my company. Visit the other review sites and stay away from this company.

My review was flagged as the company ALTA HOMES AND GARAGES stated they have no record of me as a customer. I sent in my invoice and driver's licence, but since my name is not on the invoice (but same address) they refuse to post my review. In turn they are protecting a garbage company who got my review removed under false pretences. They do no stand behind their own words which ensures the reviews are "are authentic, genuine and un-biased".

Damaging company! Dont ever sign up for free listing/profile! They automatically default you to a damaging rating like 2.5 star until you start paying $500+ a month! They do not care about contractors or home owners! They just want to pinch as much money out of both home owner and contractor as they can! If you are looking for a skilled trades person then seek them out locally! See whos in the neighborhood and having success! Find some one you can meet in person and trust before you jump intp business with them! There is alot of us AAA contractors out there who dont have alot of time or money for advertising because we are to busy creating art in our clients homes! Dont trust any job pimps! All companies like this one are toxic for society!

Garbage, don’t use ever sign up with trusted pros, signed up for a so called trial and now they are trying to say I owe them over 500. But I canceled the first month I tried it.

The leads we received were bogus and I was never able to reach any of them. If you are a contractor. Keep your money, spend it on flyers and signs, do some door knocking. Build your brand and don’t hire a lead generation service.

Problems with this company:
- They don't qualify contractors license or insurance.
- Lots of subs that I tried to hire said they had a license and insurance on trusted pros when they did not.
- Contractors are leaving fake reviews on their competitors
- Trusted Pros never call you back when you leave an email asking for a call or if you leave a message on their phone.
-They never answer their phone
-They won't remove fake reviews
-They take forever to assist you when their is a problem with accessing your account

I think I am going to give all five start companies a fake one star review and see what happens to Trusted Pros credibility.

This company does Not care about checking the validity of bad reviews they will print whatever the clients says. I had a negative review and had all the proof the client was NOT telling the truth sent them all the details. They did nothing I had to get the client to remove his negative comment. They are very quick to print negative comments but it takes forever to get your positive reviews posted. This would be a great site if the the company screened the reviews of clients and asked for proof not just allowing people to review and say whatever they want. I lost 2 jobs because of all this and they do not care!

this guy max sheppard and his website is a definition of a dirtball plain and simple. just a small time techy guy who operates from his home in carlisle (hamilton area) ontario and uses other cheap university students from their basements and apartments to help run his ghost operation "renovation review" website based on forwarding mail from the top floor of the eaton centre in dt toronto. no call centre or office to discuss in person so dont get your hopes up. best way is to just knock on his door his home office and confront him. i tried that once but the police called me as he called on me and they said keep it civil which was obviously expected. he just hides behind the legal curtain. Just endless emails and letters. do your proper legwork prior to making any moves with the site. don't send a single penny, fall for the shpeel, or send your info. its privacy infringement at its finest. nothing but a fraud and extortion expert. its a family run business and they eat off shaking people / contractors down daily. he is wanted by many companies and people across the country and now in the states as i recently found out as well. (trustedpros.com, not just .ca) he also refinanced his home in hamilton area for around 700k a few years ago to a company called "computershare trust company of canada" just to try to stay afloat and help pay his legal fees as i was told as well. the guy is wasting his own time and money and bringing down others and businesses down unfortunately as well. time it stops. have him in court and his wife says he is stressed out and about to throw in the towel based on an sworn affidavit, such a personal mess and best advice is to just stay away and report if you were a victim of the website scam. fake reviews, misleading leads, posting personal info and trying to sell it off to you in return for a removal.

dirtball cannot be defined better then this guy and his website antics. he is eventually going to run out of loot, and he cant even keep a consistent lawyer, nor a happy family unfortunately as i heard and he will be forced to hit the local job bank for a 9 to 5 job. its inevitable the way he is going with trustedpros.ca, STAY AWAY.
