Complete waste of money !
As a formerly “endorsed” member of the WHICH? From the very start I think it was in 2015...I can honestly say what a complete and utter waste of valuable time, money and energy that whole episode was, I was endorsed for 6 months at the half price sum of £30 per month, in which time it yielded 3 phone calls for jobs, 2 of which if I didn’t immediately drop my tools and run to attend wasn’t any use to them, and 1 for a service I didn’t even provide.
So I basically paid £60 per month, plus the initial fee for them to do all my background checks to be registered for the “Which?” Seal of approval, and paid my own DBS check at they’re request as they needed that too, then redo all my paperwork so it met the “which?” Standards.
So the upshot is, for my investment I got the use of the “which?” Logo, a phone call off a which representative that basically spoke over me for 20 mins and then hung up when she’d said what she wanted me to know, and 3 phone calls for jobs I didn’t do.
All the while asking me for other traders in my field and to recommend them to use the “which?” Service.
So at the end of the trial period of 6 months they we’re putting the fee up to £60 per month.
I’m glad to see it go as it for me and my business has been a complete waste of resources for nothing.

Great experience with local Roofer
A satisfying experience from Harry and his staff (HC ROOFING). Turned up on time and worked long days to get the job done. No hidden costs, any extra work not initially seen explained before being carried out. Highly recommended.

Tarmac drive
The contact that we had with -Gordon Hill & sons from the beginning with speaking to the company was excellent. Replying to our enquiry was very efficient with then a visit to look at the job for a new tarmac drive on our property-a quote sent, to be followed by a a date to start after we accepted the quote.
The men working on site arrived on time as arranged, carried out professional work, & finishing the completed job & left the site in impeccable order to which we were very impressed. We would certainly recommend this company, hopefully with this useful information for other customers to consider -a job well done!

Outstanding support
I cannot fault the whole process at all, this was mainly down to Beth Foston, without whom I probably would have struggled. The communication was faultless, quick responses to emails and a phone can when required to answer any questions relating to the process. The face to face assessment made me realise that there were some things that I could be doing better by putting processes in place. I would have no hesitation in recommending others joining Which trusted traders. I now feel confident that I have better practices, and should I need some assistance that there is a human at the end of a phone that will do there upmost to help or guide me. Looking forward to meeting potential new customers in my business.

TOP COMPANY
The stairlift was fitted within 3 days of the first connection with AMW LIFT & MOBILITY SERVICES LTD. They came on time fitted it and left no mess and explained everything clearly, would definitely recommend them and use them again

He@Heating technician arrived on time and completed work efficiently and within estimated time. He was courteous and took care to minimise mess from servicing gas boiler and fire and tidied up afterwards.

Rejects bad reviews to keep the scores high
Booked a Which Trusted Trader removal service to move furniture and set to a theatre for an amateur theatre group in Sheffield. The removal service failed to turn up, leaving a number of elderly volunteers standing on the pavement with lots of heavy stuff to deal with, at 8.30 am on a Sunday morning. The (not to be) Trusted Trader never contacted us to apologise or try and put things right at all, despite us trying to contact him and speaking to his mother.
I left an unfavourable review, as you might expect, and provided proof of the booking with emails from the company. Which Trusted Traders will not accept my review as they say it's from a 'business' not an individual. This is a nonprofit making amateur theatre company - a registered charity. Does a group of volunteers not deserve as good a service as an individual and why is there a 5* review from another (unnamed) amateur theatre group in Sheffield if ours isn't allowed?
It appears Which Trusted Traders avoid allowing less than wonderful reviews - maybe because their traders pay for the endorsement. I will certainly put my faith in independent review sites next time, not TT.

Re-joining Which? Trusted Trader Scheme
Having left Which? for a couple of years due to a technical business name issue, I just experienced a super efficient induction back into the trusted trader scheme. The zoom interview process was excellent and given that I find these online meetings to be slightly uncomfortable, I found that within a few minutes, I was completely at ease and able to be myself. The paperwork aspect was also a breeze and all communications were rapidly responded to and uploaded very quickly. Lovely also to be reassigned to my previous account manager from my last endorsement period. Really very happy to get my Which? Trusted Trader status back up and running again.
