Tutoraim Reviews

We recruited Dave to help our son with his Economics A-Level and some Business. Dave is organised and committed, expecting the same from his students. He lays all of this out clearly before you start your journey together. Due to Dave’s excellent tutoring, our son secured better than expected grades and got into his first choice university. Thank you Dave.

Dave tutored my daughter online with 1:1 private lessons to help her improve her grade in Business studies A level AQA. He is an excellent tutor, well organised and very knowledgeable providing her with excellent resources and guidance leading up to the exams. The lessons were extremely successful as she increased her mock grade by one grade and a half achieving a high grade A in her Business A level and getting into her first choice of university. We are very thankful for the support Dave provided.

Dave has been an absolutely outstanding A Level Economics tutor. He always paid close attention to the small details and helped me see exactly where I could improve, especially in the 25 mark questions. What I found most helpful was how Dave helped me incorporate real-world examples into my essays, often going over articles from The Economics Factory. Dave’s interactive teaching style made the lessons super interesting and gave me a lot more confidence going into my exams, ultimately leading to me achieving an A* grade.

Dave Caddies tutored our son for 6 months leading up to his A-Level Economics exam. His tutoring gave our son a much clearer idea of the structure and content required in the longer essay questions with lots of practice essays and homework. Dave is very organised and also encouraged our son to develop a better revision schedule and approach which helped him to fulfil his potential. He was pleased to achieve his predicted grade of an A and will be going on to study Economics at university.

Dave is a confident, experienced and thorough tutor .He knows the curriculum faultlessly and ensures that study is rigorous and effective. He helped our son not only to attain the required high grade in Economics to enter a top flight university he also helped him to formulate study plans to optimise work on his other subjects as well. Highly recommended.

Great A level Economics Tuition from Dave. Would recommend as he is both patient and honest.

I am incredibly grateful to Dave for his outstanding support throughout my A-level Economics journey. Thanks to his expert teaching and consistent encouragement, I achieved an A* - something I could not have achieved without his support. I scored consistently at the top of the Economics cohort at school, including achieving 1st out of 103 economists in the A-level Economics mock exam with 92%

One of the most valuable aspects of Dave’s tutoring was the regular practice of exam questions, which helped me build a rock-solid understanding of KAA and overall exam technique. His emphasis on structure, clarity, and precision made a huge difference to my confidence and performance, meaning I consistently scored highly across all questions types.

Having access to a wide range of model answers was another game-changer. Seeing what top-level 25-mark responses looked like helped me understand expectations and apply this to my own writing, making essays far less daunting and revision much more efficient.

Dave also used Tutor2u Examiner AI to provide second marking of my answers, which gave me even deeper insight into how examiners assess responses and how to improve further.

Beyond academics, Dave offered valuable guidance on post–A-level pathways, including links to virtual financial work experience and advice on future opportunities. He was also always available outside of lessons to answer any questions, which made a huge difference during revision.

I cannot thank Dave enough for his commitment, clarity, and motivation. His tutoring not only helped me achieve a top grade, but also gave me a genuine love for Economics, and I now intend to study it at university. I would highly recommend him to anyone aiming to reach their full potential.

I honestly can’t recommend Dave highly enough. I’ve had quite a difficult schooling experience, and for a long time, school was something I struggled with both academically and personally. Thankfully, having Dave as my tutor genuinely changed all of that!

What stood out the most to me was that Dave never made me feel incapable of doing well. He is extremely patient when needed and really took the time to understand my struggles. At the same time, he always knew when and how to push me when I was lacking motivation or not putting in the effort I was capable of.

Dave not only helped me reach my potential academically, but his guidance has also made a real difference in my confidence, discipline, and the way I approach challenges. He is very easy to get along with, and I always appreciated our little chats that had absolutely nothing to do with schoolwork.

Through Dave’s extensive knowledge and passion for teaching, I was able to achieve a B grade in both AS Level Economics and Business—something I am very proud of, especially considering where I started.

I am incredibly grateful to have had Dave as my tutor. I honestly owe a huge part of my progress to his encouragement, support, and, at times, much-needed reality checks. He pushed me when I needed it most and genuinely believed in me, even when I didn’t always believe in myself.

Thank you Dave!

We are absolutely delighted with Dave’s tutoring, which played a crucial role in helping our daughter achieve an A* in Economics. From the very first session, Dave had a fantastic way of making the subject feel clear, structured and manageable, and what initially seemed like a daunting goal soon felt well within reach.

Dave is an exceptional tutor, not only highly knowledgeable but also sincere, patient, systematic and extremely well organised. His structured approach kept our daughter engaged, motivated and confident throughout her studies. He has a real talent for breaking down complex economic concepts into simple, easy to understand explanations, while also encouraging active participation, critical thinking and independence.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have found Dave. His dedication, guidance and genuine commitment to our daughter’s success made such a difference, and achieving an A* became a smooth and achievable journey.

We would wholeheartedly recommend Dave to any student looking for outstanding Economics tuition. He is an excellent tutor and a real credit to his profession.

I can't recommend Dave highly enough. Dave has helped me enormously with Economics. He helped me to achieve an A* in August 2026 after I was struggling with Economics and getting Cs in my school tests as late as April 2025.

Dave's lessons are very structured with his termly lesson plans. He records our lessons means you can cover alot of topics but still refer back to them. He is very patient and makes sure to re-explain and breakdown topics time and time again until they are drilled into your memory. That's not to say there isn't flexibility! Dave was also happy to build on lessons and topics covered in school. Because he is so specialised in A Level economics, it is easy to bring up any topic if you need a refresher.

His experience as an examiner is invaluable as he knows how to mark your work and push you to achieve the top grades in the style of the exam board you study. There is always homework being set which I think is a fantastic opportunity that potential students can take to be given feedback every week on. This has really helped to boost my confidence in writing the longer essays as Dave gives constructive feedback to help you progress.

Dave is also very good at communicating with parents and students alike. He has a system where he allows his students to lead and also informs parents if there are any changes to schedule. This keeps the family in the loop at all times.

He also has a multitude of resources. He provides the Economics Today platform which really helps with application to tailor to the A Level course. He also has many mock tests and exam style questions that can challenge you and prepare you for the real thing.

Finally, Dave is very encouraging. He was able to guide me through the last few months of my course and helped me to plan my revision timetable for my other A Levels as well. He made sure to recognise and commend my hard work.

I couldn't have asked for a better economics tutor, my understanding has deepened and will help me for my future studies and career.

Thank you very much Dave!
