First disappointment in several years…
First disappointment in several years of being a Curlsmith customer. DPD made an unexplained error, claiming it was delivered but then actually sending it back to Curlsmith. I complained to DPD to no avail, I wrote to Curlsmith and they said they can't offer another courier and they would refund me when they receive the parcel back. No offer to investigate with DPD even? So it's my fault that DPD made an unexplained error and now can only tell me that I should check with the seller? They can't explain why the missing parcel is "on its way to sender" for several days now, but Curlsmith won't even check? If DPD don't return this, I have to bear the cost of the missing product? I might as well be shopping or Curlsmith products with a third party that offers better customer care. In the meantime, I'm £120+ out of pocket. Thanks.

Rushing to get my order done and forgot to add the free March Gift luckily Carly helped me sort it out by doing me a nice gesture and sent me one anyways.

Carly is simply brilliant. She sorted out my missing parcel efficiently. I was super stressed and she made me feel at ease. The website said four days but she responded to my request within a day.

I have always loved the products
I have always loved the products, but when I accidentally placed an order worth over £100 to an old address miles (and an ocean) I panicked. I contacted their customer service email and Carly was super helpful and replaced my order. Now my curls are bouncy and smelling great

Fire hazard – Curlsmith won’t take responsibility for dangerous fault
I'm writing this to warn other parents and consumers about the Curlsmith Defrizzion hairdryer. My husband bought this for our daughter from Sephora in October 2024. Just 14 months later, while she was using it, the unit began emitting a bright orange flame and became dangerously hot. This is a major electrical failure and a terrifying thing for a teenager to experience.
I reported this safety concern to Curlsmith on 1 December. Despite acknowledging that the fault was "not normal" and recommending we stop using it immediately, their response has been an absolute fob off. They’ve refused to take any responsibility because the unit is "out of warranty" by just two months. Instead of investigating a fire hazard in their own product line, they had the cheek to offer me a discount to buy another one.
It’s now mid-January and they’ve stopped replying to my emails entirely. Curlsmith clearly feels that once a product is past its 12-month warranty, its safety is no longer their concern. An expensive, "premium" hairdryer should last more than 15 months, and it certainly shouldn't be a fire risk.
Appalling customer service and a total lack of accountability for product safety. I’ll be reporting this to Trading Standards.
100% satisfaction
I have been using Curlsmith for over a year now and love their products, especially the co-wash and soufflé. Recently I have been most grateful to Carly for sorting out an issue with my latest order; Carly took responsibility for an online error, delivered excellent customer service, with great communication and the issue has been resolved quickly and to my 100% satisfaction
Initially i was sent the wrong package…
Initially i was sent the wrong package which was a shame because by the time i realised it was the day before Christmas. I emailed curlsmith and was put in touch with Christy who was lovely and immediately sent me the right package and allowed me to donate the other bottle to charity instead of paying to ship it back.

Alicia was kind and empathetic from the get- go keeping me informed every step of the way even when needing to replace my initial order.
It is refreshing communicating with professionals who are humane and even though I have not used the products ordered yet, Curlsmith is a beloved company now.

Sara was really helpful and responded quickly. I didn’t receive a tracking number and she gave me the number via email. I haven’t received the products yet but I’m really excited to try them as I have heard a lot about the brand. Hopefully they will come soon.

Fantastic customer service
Fantastic customer service - my delivery was damaged but incorrectly marked as ‘delivered’, I contacted curlsmith to trace the parcel and was dealt with efficiently, quickly and courteously by lovely Alicia; she kept me in the loop, located my parcel, explained what had happened and offered a refund or reorder. She has arranged a super quick dispatch so I will hopefully receive my items before I go on holiday! Excellent customer service at a time when it seems to be the lowest priority for other companies.
