Support is overly complicated and confusing. Requests for repair information go unanswered. Parts never sent I am stuck with an Elliptical under warranty that I can't use. I had less trouble getting my old much cheaper Elliptical repaired. Expected better from Johnson Fitness.

I spent £30k on Matrix equipment for a high end home gym and the connectivity simply doesn’t work. Matrix have no interest in after sales support and simply refuse to talk directly to customers. The installation process is basic and is about leaving as fast as possible with no information shared. Would accept a couple of niggles with the equipment if any of the interface worked but despite numerous follow ups, Matrix have no interest in helping customers after delivery. Like buying a car with faulty electronics. May be acceptable for a corporate gym but I would advise against retail / home gym use.

Jeg træner i go2fitness i Borup, hvor vi udelukkende har matrix udstyr. Jeg er vild med det! Det fungerer bare. Alle maskiner kører dejligt problemfrit.
Har trænet der i 5 år og har aldrig oplevet problemer på noget af udstyret.

Fantastiske maskiner, og fantastiske mennesker som sælger og servicerer produkterne

Man bliver mødt i øjenhøjde og fulgt helt til døren af deres dygtige team

Efter flere års kommunikation mellem matrix’s salgs personale , ser jeg 3 virkelig skønne personer, de har virkelig prøvet at se mine tanker omkring den udviklingen jeg ønsker. Salget har aldrig været det vigtigt og det mærkes.

unser Studio hat jetzt die Technogym gegen Matrix Cardio Geräte ausgetauscht, was wir als totalen Fehlgriff sehen.
Eine Anfrage beim dem Unternehmen welch App außer eGYM mit den Cardio Geräten kompatibel ist lief ins Nirwana da keine der Kolleginnen an der Hotline ohne Kundennummer keinerlei Auskunft geben konnte. Es geht bei dem Unternehmen nur um Verkauf ohne sich um Support zu kümmern. Die anderen Bewertungen mit den negativen Kommentaren kann ich durchaus nachvollziehen. Für bessere Geräte hatte das Studio leide kein Geld obwohl die Beiträge stets steigen.
Ich kann die Geräte der Firma MATRIX nicht empfehlen.

I’m a member of a Pure gym in London!
They have Matrix equipment! Regardless of how out dated and difficult to use they are, and how they don’t adapt to different bodies, my main concern is the maintenance! Gym says they come regularly for maintenance but all the equipment have missing bolts, missing knots, loose bolts, fallen off parts, etc! A major incident and someone breaking an arms or losing a leg is eminent!

Convinced the engineers designing the equipment are secretly just a bunch of monkeys in lab coats. Terrible mechanics

My Planet Fitness just replaced their Life Fitness strength training equipment- which was awesome, with Matrix. They literally hurt when using. When I work out legs, my knees hurt. When I work out my chest, my elbows hurt. I feel no effectiveness in the target muscle while using like with Life Fitness machines. I’m feel it a waste of a workout and I’m concerned enough that these machines will do more harm than good that I’ll be canceling my membership there. I’ve read elsewhere that they’re cheaper ineffective machines so I’m very disappointed in Planet for making this change.

Like Technogym… just worse in every possible way.

The lack of adjustable elements makes every exercise range from slightly uncomfortable to dangerous. A huge shame Puregym is full of it.

Matrix fitness is the worst thing to ever happen to UK gyms. The annoying thing is most of their machines could be so much better with some very small fixes that wouldnt increase the manufacturing cost.

The machines are poorly designed usually for a few reasons:
- Restrict the range of motion for no reason (leg press pins stop the sled too early, the chest press you cant get a deep stretch, etc)
- Bad mechanics and weird angles
- Some of the machines eg. chest press are super unstable and clunky (for no reason)
- Overly thick handles which make grip unpleasant
- Strange angles, eg. on the hack squat the foot plate is too steep, it should be at less of an angle to the floor, at present this stresses the knees unnecessarily for people with long limbs
- Bad force curves. Eg. their plate loaded incline press, flat press etc have the exercise be super easy at the bottom and very hard at the top, which is suboptimal.

All of these changes could be so easily addressed without making it any more expensive for matrix to produce the machines, if only they were able to copy the designes better of the leading players like Atlantis, Nautilus, Panatta and prime

My gym bought new back equipment all from Matrix, everything is clunky, bad ergonomics, terrible foot placements, and the lat pulldown/cable row have no range of motion. Terrible, terrible, terrible. The cables now have weird weight too, a full stack being 34kg?? Rubbish

I purchased 3 Matrix T75 treadmills for my company gym, as I read good reviews online. After 2 years all 3 have failed for different reasons. All with between 4-8k km on them.

Our NordicTrack treadmill is still going after 5 years.

Skip this company and look for something of higher quality. Life Fitness and Nordic Track are both better in my experience.

Horrible equipment. Can’t believe PureGym destroyed my fitness center after training there for nearly 15 years, by replacing all the best Technogym machines with these low quality, badly designed weight machines. The ergonomics are off, the confusion of the foot placement, which makes no sense of where to place your feet (foot handles.. what?) even the leg locks on the back workout machines seem to point diagonally upward so you feel like you are slipping out of hold.
They can’t even regulate the weight indications on the machines, so it feels like you are actually push/pulling the weight that you have chosen.
That is just a portion of the state of these machines. Absolute thrash. You have to see it to believe it.

Mein Gym hat vor kurzem renoviert und die alten Geräte mit Neuen von Matrix ausgetauscht und ich hasse alle. Wer hat sich das ausgedacht das die Zwischenstufen bei den Gewichten nicht mittig sind? Warum kann ich keine einziges Gerät sinnvoll für meine Körpermaße anpassen? Die Griffe sind ultra billiges Hartplastik, welche man z.b. an der Shoulder Press extrem schlecht umgreifen kann und auch nicht an die Schulterbreite anpassbar sind. Ich bin kein Profisportler und habe trotzdem beim ersten benutzen der Bauchmaschine das Maximalgewicht problemlos geschafft und dabei noch nichtmal den Bauch gespürt und nur den unteren Rücken. Die Polster sind extrem hart und gleichzeitig reibt das Gummi extrem an der Haut. Hab mir beim Benutzen des Beinbeugers die komplette Kniekehle aufgeschürft. Nach einer Woche war der sogar kaputt wegen der billigen Verarbeitung. Eins der Matrixlaufbänder hört sich jedes mal an wie ein Düsenflieger wenn es etwas schneller eingestellt wird und die Vibrationen davon merkt man im ganzen Gym. Ich bin 184 cm groß und muss für butterfly reverse mir trotzdem ein zusätzliches Polster unter den Po packen damit die Griffe auf einer vernünftigen Höhe sind. Ganz im Ernst, war jemals jemand der wirklich ins Fitnessstudio geht am Design dieser Geräte beteiligt??? Einfach ausnahmslos Schrott

I agree 100% with the series of critical comments on Trustpilot. Matrix is the worst thing I've ever experienced in training. It is incomprehensible that a large chain like PureGym has invested in miserable and extremely poorly designed machines, where you cannot adjust to the body, are often static and directly painful to train in. I am leaving PureGym for this reason and hope that others do the same, so that the excellent training place I have trained in for many years will open my eyes and push to the British headquarters, who have made the hopeless decision to change TechnoGym with Matrix. I simply don't have anything good to say about Matrix
