Upside Reviews 

Was using the upside app. Had accumulated about $50 in credit one day went to pull up my app and it was gone and so is my money kind of convenient for them . They wanted me to reapply for the upside app. I think it was some BS.

This app is an absolute SCAM. I've been waiting over a month for my rewards and it just says processing. Don't waste your time. Use rewards from actual gas stations, it's best.

I never take my time out to leave reviews... But please please please stay away from this Upside it does not work. I received my very first rebate back and after that everything has been downhill so don't waste your time.

I have used upside for a couple years. Things started off alright but
recently you have to jump through rings of fire to get claims processed. I don’t have the time to
play their game. It seems they create an issue whenever they want. I am not going to do their job
for them. At the rate they are going they will be gone real soon.

Well to start off with i have had upside probably 4 years now, and it's getting to the point the bigger discounts they don't want to pay always the excuse couldn't read the ticket. My wife had upside also and gave hers up because they got to the point again that the discounts on a thankful wouldn't pay 15 cents

I HAVE UPLOADED AT LEAST 3 GAS RECEIPTS. THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT BUT IT'S BEEN OVER A MONTH AND I NEVER RECEIVED ANY MONEY BACK. I WONDER IF IT'S A SCAM.

I wish i could have put NO stars it was so nice to think I would get $$ back or gift cards. Then I looked and all my stuff expired then I was told I needed to keep all my receipts due to the stores wasn’t doing there part and some other BS else. I submitted everytime I went in the places they claimed was legit. Now we have to do there JOB what a dang joke… This went all the back to July of 2024. SAD

Upside is awful. I fill up a big company truck with diesel and I use a fleet card. So I’m getting over 30 gallons per fill up. Which would be a lot of money back from upside. But they keep saying they don’t see my transaction even when I send them the receipts. When I go in the same store at the same location they can find my transaction for a what I buy in the store, makes sense right

Started out alright, entered the location where I filled up, got a refund in hours ! Then they started screwing me, got the fuel, submitted my purchase, this company kept me waiting almost a week,then denied the request, saying, " REQUEST EXPIRED ! " TRY THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK, BY IF I WERE YOU, WOULDN'T WASTE MY TIME, I QUIT USING THIS COMPANY !

This app was ok at first but they have ridiculous rules they don't promote, needing multiple receipts for a transaction for basically CHANGE on gas. A consumer can't help if they can't pay the pump if a card reader isn't working. A customer shouldn't have to jump through hoops to gain what a company offers. Their entire business is to help with "Cash back" Plus it's a gimmick to shut down your account, like a gym membership and they also admit to keep "some" of your information. It's also almost impossible to speak with anyone to help you. I would absolutely avoid this app.

This is a scam you been warned I give it a one star I wish I done my research before using the app

I did exactly as I was instructed when I claimed an offer. I went to the correct gas station and bought the correct fuel. But upside seems there is an issue. The only thing they can tell me is RaceTrac took too long to process so I’m out the rebate. Would never recommend using them. Stick to gas buddy.

After 1 year of using the UPSIDE App, going to gas stations listed on the app every week. In January of 2025, I initiated a transfer of the $73 to my bank account. 13 days went by and the money has not been credited. I spoke with UPSIDE, "Customer Service" and they informed the transfer was complete. However, my bank told me otherwise. No money was or has been sent my account by UPSIDE. I consider this app a scam, I think they are nothing but a marketing tool for businesses and while UPSDIE gets paid, YOU WILL NOT! Consider yourself warned....

I have to chase down the gas stations not all stations accept this app. For gas I just fill up at Sam's club usually cheaper than using upside. If upside would accept all receipts like (FETCH) it may be worth it.

Terrible app. Everything on the phone will work. I go to check it and it does t work. AND they won't honor receipts either. Bought gas today app was signed out. Go to sign in and tells me invalid email. Tried a few times still nothing. Then I tried resetting my password funny because the email that upside ia saying is invalid the link was sent to reset my password. I go to try again and it's saying invalid email.

Haven't been able to get the stores/gas stations/restaurants loaded for over a week.
Hey, reading the other reviews, I am actually pretty lucky, so I went to 3 stars instead of 2. I started using it about a year ago and have earned over $200. It was legitimately deposited into my checking account whenever I requested the amount I had built up to go there. However, I found out the hard way, if you request it before you have at least $10, they hit you with a fee.
It's been the last 2 weeks or so where the app is not working properly.

UPDATE: It's up and working properly again. I did notice a number of businesses in this area no longer participate sadly.

The app looks for any and every reason not to pay. You can upload a receipt with clear address, card #, amount,etc and during processing will not go through supposedly because the business did not verify transaction in their data. Who cares if their company receipt says so, right? There is an expired or issues found notice in 2 out of 5 transactions. Go figure.

If I could rate this cash rebate app a ZERO star, I would. I have had continuous issues using this program. Every credit card sale with Marcos Pizza fails. I have to call customer support to attempt to resolve it. I have had it. It’s FRAUD in my eyes. I’m done using it Upside.

TERRIBLE First time I used it worked with promotional bonus on gas. I have tried 5 times since with same exact gas station and linked card and got 0. NOT WORTH TGE TROUBLE.

I requested my cash in the form of an Amazon card. Never received the verification email. The help center just takes you around and around. There is no human contact except the one who denied my request to delete my information because they couldn’t verify my identity. Said to follow a link that they did not send. Do not use this app. Don’t give them your personal info. Who knows what they might do with it. Reporting to the BBB.
