I just received an email from this domain, asking me to register on a link it gives me, but I did not ask for any employment on its site. ¿How did it get my personal data?

Absolute junk. Had an interview with this garbage AI and it kept asking cyclical questions, BECAUSE ITS NOT A HUMAN. So I have to grin through it and not get absolutely irate at this awful programming. I kept asking for real hypotheticals so I can give real answers but it wanted me to give real hypotheticals that I can make up on the fly. This is the worst timeline.

avoid. they use jobs to make you signup but then you have to record a video.

Extremely dodgy. Hardly any jobs on there to apply for, requires a video interview and not clear what the application process is. I went to delete my account and it says you can only do that if they haven't invoiced you (which they haven't - invoiced for what?). I'm waiting for confirmation they've deleted my account but seems like one of these very dodgy sites that doesn't allow you to remove your data. I've been through this before and it shouldn't be allowed. Do yourself a favour and don't sign up.

I created an account a few days ago and I am already getting some super shady WhatsApp messages on my private number. After asking them who they were, why they were contacting me and how they got my number, they said wanting to be my "friend" and that they got my information through Braintrust. With my portfolio link and all the information that goes with it, supposed to be for real recruiters.

waste of time, I can just confirm what many freelancers have already said.... they do not send your application until you do not complete a lengthy screening process, they then may decide you did not pass and they do not provide feedback. if you go back to your application and try to understand why you were considered a "bad match" they ask you to purchase braintrust tokens to get hints of "how to be a better fit next time~" just a bunch of annoying scummers. don't bother wasting your precious time on ludicrous platform

Horrible recruiting company! You sign up to apply to a job and then they spam you with emails every day, sometimes multiple times a day. They also work with a pyramid scheme to get your money by encouraging you to send a referral link to your friends to increase your chances. Highly dangerous hiring company - so if a recruiter or company uses Braintrust you can know for sure it’s an incapable company that don’t do their research.

I would like to share my experience and express my disappointment with this platform. Based on what I’ve encountered, it does not appear to be a reliable or genuine source for job opportunities.

I was invited to an AIR interview, which unfortunately did not work for over a week. Despite multiple follow-ups, I was repeatedly informed that fixes had been applied—yet none of them resolved the issue. This not only wasted my time but also raised serious doubts about the credibility of the process.

Given this experience, I’m now questioning the authenticity of the jobs posted on the platform, as the overall handling and communication did not reflect professionalism or reliability.

AVOID!
Save your private data AND time and just apply directly to jobs via proper websites. Customer service's replies were absolute red flags, if it isn't an actual scam by any chance - then it's just an awfully staffed crypto site with zero care for their users.

This site is a scam

The site promotes itself as easy way to gain jobs and money. But most of the time they will fail the screen video without any explanation. @Braintrust - have decency to at least inform participants...

So basically this is a job search site like Indeed / Glassdoor..etc

Don't waste your time and share your personal information with this site.

My screening video was failed with no explanation. They could've been cleared about what they expect from that.

SCAM, they want your video before send application to anyone, avoid this

Braintrust is one of those products with a poor human centred design that does not allow the end user to delete its account in an autonomous way.

One year ago I asked to delete my account and to provide a confirm as I live in EU and GDPR applies. An email from Braintrust was confirming this.

After one year, in the recent week I've started to receive email, apparently from Braintrust offering some crypto coins to users that early registered to Braintrust.
It seemed to be plausible as I registered in early times, but the email sender didn't belong to Braintrust.

I went on Braintrust login, found out they lied to me and breached the GDPR, as a message was stating my account was simply disabled and not deleted.

I sent an email to them and:
asked why my account was not deleted
asked if they knew anything about this email scam and stating that if they had a data breach, which would have explain how I got emails associated to braintrust sent to the email address I had used the registered with them, why they didn't alert me, which is also required by the law.

I got a sloppy email stating "sorry now the account is deleted", so I replied asking clarification to all the rest I had stated, I've got a series of poorly written automatic replies that didn't clarify they were automatic message and at the end I've been bounced with "Your email is not in our system anymore - you will not be contacted by Braintrust again."

No answer about the scam, no answer about why my account was not deleted, no answer if the had a data breach. Just shameful.

Website tells you that you need to finish a video screening if you want your application to be sent to the employee, but only AFTER you are done with the application. Website UI is so bad the "video screening" does not even load. Will not be wasting any more of my time by using this website in the future

Like the other reviewers, I went through the long process of filling out an application (including a cover letter), and after sending it I was informed I needed to complete a video interview screening BEFORE braintrust would send the application to the employer. I feel scammed out of my data and my time.

Requires you to make a video replying questions. They know people don't like this, so they make you fill an entire curriculum in his web, after spending so much time, you fill the application for the company and when you lost all this time they tell you that unless you make a video asking 4 questions they won't send your application to the client. I didn't do the video screening and i won't lose more time with this web.

Service of Support team is so bad.

I joined there 15 days ago and finished profile.
They say they will send mail for approving as a talent 3 days later after I finish profile but I couldn't get mail from them. So I contacted with support team 5 times but there was lack reply and same word everytime. wait~

I am so tired for waiting now and feel their bad support.
