Absolute scam, paid two 50p and then £7.85, now trying to cancel payments but no answer to phone calls or email!

Absolute scam, paid two 50p and then £7.85, now trying to cancel payments but no answer to phone calls or email!
Absolute total scammers. Fraudulent advert impersonating DVLA. illegally taking money and providing nothing.
Absolute scam!!
The other day I went to check the date my road tax was due, only to find I've been paying £7.85 per month for the past 12 months! At the time was going through a bereavement and failed to notice it wasn't the DVLA. It was only when I checked this time fir the date and it wouldn't come up I realised I've been paying £7.85 per month for nothing!
Does anyone know who and where I can contact to obtain reimbursement?
I've contacted my bank who have blocked future payments but I'm so angry! 😡
Another “customer” that was scammed into subscribing to what I thought was an official DVLA site for paying road tax.
These thieves have taken £7.85 per month for a good 7 months before I noticed. Apparently providing a service for notifying you of when tax/insurance is due. Total BS as I’ve not received any ‘service’ from them in any form be that emails/letter/txt etc. have requested proof of the service they offer or a refund.
Their website is extremely vague and amateurish providing no details on what they offer as a service. Basically because they don’t offer a service and are a complete scam operation.
Unfortunately the only people that will see these reviews will be other victims of their scam. Since nobody actively searches these frauds until the fall foul of their trick.
SCAM... I didn't know that this had been coming out of my account for 6 months. I looked up their address under their name Vehicleupdates; it says. 63/66 Hatton Garden, Fifth Floor, Suite 23, London, EC1N 8LE Apparently 163 businesses operate from that address and theirs ISN"T one of them. I've got no way to contact them. I've frozen my bank card and I am in the process of trying to report them... Anyone knows who i can report them to?
Absolute scam company masquerading as the DVLA. Offered free notifications to remind when tax is due and subsequently billed £7.85 for 8 months. Have contacted lawyer and bank to obtain refund as this type of operation infuriates me.
Came home after my MOT pass day, logged on Gov.uk or as I was mislead to believe, I've been paying £7.85 for 5 months now, I think I'm the record holder for the longest unknowingly payee for road tax while actually being SORN.
Paying road tax now, at the post office.
Same experience as everyone else. 2 card payments of £7.98. No idea how they got hold of my card details. Have now ordered a new card. BEWARE!
Same experience as everyone else. Thought I was paying my car tax.
ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS!!!
What can be done to stop them and get my money back - I don't know
Scam payment as others have said. £7.85 a month taken for the past few months and obviously had no car tax :( I'm just so glad I wasn't pulled over and fined. I'm now incredibly worried about the other details I put onto the website, it was months ago now but I have a feeling I put my passport number amongst other personal details. Does anyone know any action I should be taking regarding this?
These people should be called scammers. I was googling the UK gov car vehicle website to check when my car tax was due. I didn't notice that this site- UK Updated.com was slipped in at the top, and did resemble the .Gov website. When I was charge the initial payment, I then realised this was a third party website. I told myself it was my fault for not being more vigilant and it was a lesson learnt. Then this month, I get charged £7.85 - apparently I have a subscription with them. So I try and cancel the subscription. Their automated system tells me an email has been sent to my email (which it asked me to input) Of course, no email has arrived in my inbox, my spam or any other folder. Despite several attempts for the last 4 hours, no email arrives. I've now gone through contacting the company through the General Enquiries form and asked for immediate cancellation of the subscription. I highly doubt I will get a response. In the meantime, I've cancelled future transactions with my bank. What a slimey, dishonest, sneak company this is. I'm sure thousands of people made the same mistake as I did. And assuming they all get caught out finding out it wasn't a one off payment but a subscription...it's a nice little earner that UK Updated have.
I clicked on what I thought was the legitimate DVLA website to tax a car. Nothing alerted me this was not the correct site. Entered all details and went through the process & thought my car was taxed.
Then got a huge shock to discover my car road tax hadn’t been paid. One payment of 50p then Two payments of £7.85 taken out by a company I had never heard of.
Bank helpful and said I had probably, unwittingly signed up to a monthly subscription. I was still very worried. Paid car tax at post office and got a new card. Blocked vehicleupdatesuk. Absolute scam.
Went into what I thought was the DVLA website to tax car. Nothing on the site suggested anything other than the correct Road tax info. Then discovered my Road tax hadn’t been paid but instead I was signed up to an unnecessary and useless monthly subscription for literally pointless info.
Scam, same as others, monthly amount of £7.85 after trying to tax vehicle, reported to bank, replacing card.
Scam. Started taking 7.85 a month from my account without authorisation.
Scam pretended to be DVLA took money which was supposed to be my car tax payment have alerted my bank and had to cancel my bank card and block this company
Scam DVLA Website charging people for services they can get for free from GOV.uk. Charged my son £7.95 pcm since November. Company uses different names when dvla try and shut these websites down. People who have lost money should contact bank for immediate refunds
