This report relates to Vertu Ford in Bromley.
My elderly sister took her car to the service department of Vertu Ford in Bromley. Her car had broken down 2 or 3 times with an electrical fault. Each time, a fuse was blown and the car stopped working. She asked them to give her car a thorough check and identify the cause of these breakdowns. Vertu Ford duly carried out a detailed check of the car and reported dirty contact in the fuse box. They cleaned the contacts, and also checked various other things on the car, and charged her £234. A few days later, the car broke down with the same fault. Given the situation, my sister took her car instead to an auto-electrician who found a totally different fault (a lead had been rubbing somewhere, exposing bare wires, and causing a short). He fixed the problem for £150. The actual problem was not spotted at all by Vertu Ford.
I therefore wrote to Vertu Ford requesting a full refund. The very least they could do is, as I asked, to provide my sister with a refund, and apologise for the inconvenience caused. Their failure had the potential to cause an accident. Instead, they simply ignored my letter and have done nothing. Beware of this company. We would not use again.
Postscript added after Vertu Ford's reply to my post above: In subsequent direct email communication, Mr. Gibson refused to provide any refund at all, despite admitting to having completely failed to diagnose the problem that was causing the car to breakdown. Whilst the reply from Mr. Gibson is very polite, the reality is the company kept the money and gave a hopeless service. This reinforces my previous recommendation i.e. do not use this company.

I had a great experience purchasing my car from this dealership and would definitely recommend them.
From the beginning, everything was handled smoothly and professionally. Gabrielle was especially helpful throughout the process; she was friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to answer any questions I had. I never felt pressured at any point, which made the whole experience much more comfortable.
One of the highlights was the home delivery service, which made things incredibly convenient. Nabil delivered the car and provided excellent service; he was punctual, polite, and took the time to explain everything clearly.
Overall, a very positive experience from start to finish. I’m really happy with my car and the level of service I received.

Vertu couldn’t have been any more helpful!
We had a dilemma when my daughter had lost her lock and wheel nut for her Fiesta.
It wasn’t a problem as Ryan came out straight away and checked every master key (unfortunately didn’t fit) so took a photo and said a new key would be made and ready in 3-4 days.
Collected today and problem solved.
I’m leaving a positive review as we experienced such a different response at the Crayford branch. They never mentioned that it is possible to take a photo to get a key made. They just suggested having to break off the locks and replace for £50 each tyre.
Thankyou so much Vertu for a completely different experience of friendly helpful staff. Great service from the parts team

I had my wet belt replaced my Ford Bromley, as soon as left the dashboard lit up with engine failure. Left the car with them, they replaced the oxygen senor at a additional cost. Driving on the motorway, a strong smell of petrol and the petrol tank was empty. I rescued by Green Flag, the car limped into Ford Bromley and they replaced a few things. On a short journey more petrol was being consumed and eventually the car stopped due to empty tank. The service department at Ford Bromley is run by inexperienced amateurs and fix cars using Haynes manual.

Callum was polite and easy to talk to. He listened to my requirements about the the model, age and low mileage of the car I wished to buy. A test drive of a similar car in stock in Bromley was arranged a few days later which gave me the opportunity ask about the differences between the car I wanted to buy and the car I was selling. Callum inspected my Kuga which I wanted to part exchange and gave me a valuation. We looked at some of the available cars on line which met my requirements. Having chosen the car, Callum explained and discussed the benefits of various add on extras to the cost. having chosen those that I wanted the paperwork was easy and copies were printed off for me.
Callum notified me a couple of days later that the car had arrived and was ready for me to inspect and test drive. Three days later I collected it.
It was a very seamless, easy process as Callum kept me informed at each stage of the transaction. In no way did I feel pressurised into buying the car. Thank you Callum.
