My experience with Vida Select has been mostly positive, but I wouldn’t really recommend it for anyone under 30 — especially early 20s like me (I’m 24).
The team itself has been great. My matchmaker, Francesca, actually found several profiles that fit what I’m looking for, and the writers handled messaging super well. No shade to them at all — they did their part.
The issue is just dating app culture for people my age. My profiles went live about three weeks ago, and I’ve gotten a ton of matches — like genuinely top-tier Hinge performance for Chicago. But converting those matches into real dates has been rough. I’ve only had one date, she showed up 20 minutes late, and it wasn’t a great match. Another date canceled the night before, so I had to scrap the dinner reservation.
So if you’re in your early–mid 20s, have high standards, and want something serious, Vida might not feel worth it just because dating in this age bracket is chaotic no matter how good your profile looks. I think their service shines more for older age groups where follow-through is more consistent.
Overall: solid company, great staff — just not the best fit for younger people dealing with all the flakiness that comes with app-based dating right now.

Between running my business and two teenagers I had zero time for dating. Was worried about wasting what little free time I have on the wrong people. They found men who understood my schedule, busy in their own right. Seeing someone now who actually brought homemade cookies to our first date - major points! Setup took longer than expected but once we were going, it worked great. If you're a busy parent this actually works.

The service does not deliver as promised. Essentially they function as a Cyrano ghost writing for the client on multiple online dating applications. They craft your profiles, they edit your photos and then they ghostwrite. Packages start at different levels for different numbers of hours per month that they will be servicing the client. My experience was not what it was hyped to be at the initial interview and intake session. Although they didn't make specific promises they implied that they have an internal database of users that they use in addition to online dating services to find the perfect match for you. I was extremely skeptical because I live in a relatively rural area small Urban population of approximately 380,000 people. They were very enthusiastic that they would be able to deliver within a short period of time. They actually delivered nothing. Almost 1,800 out for the first month, multiple technical difficulties where they were unable to appropriately access the websites. They also failed to tell you up front that there product violates the fair use terms of pretty much every online dating service that does not allow ghost riding. This is strictly forbidden. I was almost banned from one platform because of this. They fail to mention any of this in the initial intake and only when it rears its ugly head later do they come forward. They said yes we violate the terms but we're not malicious in doing so we're genuine and honest in representing you.
Overall it does not appear that they responded to matches timely, it does not appear that the number of hours which I paid for were the number of hours of service that I actually received. The quality of the communication with the matches was subpar. I actually had better success managing everything on my own. They are essentially a very expensive secretarial service that manages online dating accounts. I have not seen any evidence of an internal database of which they spoke in our initial interview, which would match me with potential partners. The only thing I saw was online activity which did not appear to be consistent with the amount of hours that I was paying for and the quality of communication was not what I expected.
If you do not live in a major metropolitan area, the success you experience will probably be no better than what you are currently experiencing managing your own online dating profiles if you are a decent communicator. I do not see any value in this service. Again, they are very nice and courteous however, they did not deliver and there is no value added here in fact, in Brooklyn we would call this a rip off. If they were a solid company they would have a money back policy and I would be getting a refund right now. They did not make good on any of the promises they made or things they alluded to in our intake conversation. $1,800 out of pocket and nothing to show for it. As soon as this review went up somebody contacted me from their customer service department it was the same person that I had sent emails to telling them during my tenure with the organization that I was extremely disappointed in the service and my experience wasn't good. She never reached out to me to discuss until this review went up. She asked what I thought would be a good solution I said a full refund she laughed. That's their customer service for you.

My UHNW friend mentioned he tried it once. It didn’t work for him, but I thought I’d give it a shot. To book the first call, I had to fill out a bunch of questions on the website, one of which peculiarly asked for my salary. I don’t have a salary since my income is entirely passive from my capital, so I entered something average. I also sent them a link with a detailed description of whom I’m looking for. I believe this might have been the reason they didn’t even show up for the call.
I wanted to reschedule since I never heard from them, but the confirmation email emphasized how much time their specialists spend preparing and asked to respect their time, so I didn’t. Apparently, they didn’t even check that document.
It seems their target audience is 9-to-5 Big Tech workers with poor social skills who fail to get dates because they rely on Tinder. If you have any real social skills or a lifestyle outside that narrow box, this service won’t be helpful.

I felt ripped off by VIDA Select. They offered me a "discounted" 3-month trial membership for $3,000. The profiles they wrote for me were good, as was the photo collage they created for the various dating websites they recommended that I join. That was the end of the good stuff, though. My matchmaker was supposed to spend 40 hours per month on my account. I don't think that happened. In 3 months, she found less than a handful of "matches." I felt that the messages the VIDA team wrote were either sarcastic, snarky and/or trite. There were glitches all along the way: trouble getting registered for the websites, not doing things she said she would do and me being "banned" from one site because they said by reading my profile that I'm obviously married (which I am not). I suggest that you stay away from VIDA Select.

Had this really rough breakup that left me second-guessing everything about myself, so starting to date again felt impossible. Like I forgot how to even have a conversation. My sister kept bugging me to try something professional instead of fumbling around Tinder. Matchmaker was patient while I figured out what I actually wanted - turns out I wanted someone who gets excited about sci-fi and doesn't mind staying up late talking at diners. The guy I've been seeing for couple monts quoted dune on our first date and I nearly melted. Took longer than expected to get going and I had to re-explain my preferences a couple times but it worked out

Although my initial experience with VIDA was less than desirable, I want to share how impressed I’ve been with how the company handled it. When I voiced my concerns, Rosalia reached out to me immediately. She explained that my original matchmaker was new in her role and that there were very limited suitable matches available at that time. Most importantly, she took full ownership of the situation and went above and beyond to make things right.

I signed up for Vida Matchmaking 2 weeks ago. While my matchmaker didn’t make any recommendations to enhance my profile—which I was fine with—my first match was quite surprising and disappointing. He was 23 years older than me, even though I clearly indicated a preferred age range of seven years above or below my age. He also follows a religious belief system very different from mine, which made me question whether my preferences were fully considered.
I reached out to my matchmaker to share these concerns, and although she promised to call me back, I haven’t heard back yet. This lack of follow-up has been frustrating, as I expected a more personalized and attentive experience.
I’m currently considering canceling the service, but I may give it one more chance given some of the positive reviews I’ve read. I’m still hopeful that Vida can provide a more thoughtful and tailored approach moving forward.
VIDA was able to create a flexible work plan with me. We agreed on the objectives and the amount of work. They build me a great profile and assisted in monitoring my accounts. They produced the 3 really great dates for me. My account rep, Francesca, was particularly easy to work with. I was skeptical of On Line dating, but now I am seeing a wonderful woman.

-one star as net experience was troubling, at times felt unethical, poor communication between customer and "writing team". But let's start w/ the positive first:
- profile development - 5 stars - well written and I thought really captured the range of my personality
-pix selection - very helpful to have their g-lines, but esp to have access to their editing services and gen feedback about pix
-dating app - 5 stars for having the Vida team set-up my profile for each app. Lovely process, they helped me craft my answers to the many questions and then posted them.

I'm very introverted and a "later dater", so having Vida screen for possible candidates and send soft ball questions to get the ball rolling sounded like a dream...and it was for about 2 days and then the "writing team" started making up info about me. My acct manager tried to assure me that the misinformation wouldn't matter as the potential date wouldn't care. I'm old school about a few things and the true and correct info about yourself is the basis of any relationship, so this felt like lying to me. I didn't appreciate the brush off by the account manager and was way out of my comfort zone when the bad info was repeated at least one more time to the same person...and new misinformation was created. Unfortunately, all of this could have been avoided by just asking me what my answer was to things like what city did you grow up in? The writing team decided to punt and say I grew up on the west side of my state, when in reality I grew up in a big city on the east side of the state(try explaining that on a coffee date). Why did I move to my current location? The writing team decided it was to be near family, unfortunately all my family lives at least 500 miles from my current location - this info was repeated twice to one possible candidate. The correct answer is I moved for work and friends in the area. Within the first wk I asked the Vida team to stop working w/ my account as I was very uncomfortable w/ the lack of communication w/ me and the delay in the writing team correcting the misinformation. For the money, correction to these issues should have been a no brainer. You may be comfortable w/ these kinds of miscommunications, I'm not, when I meet someone new at a party, church, etc I'm listening deeply to who they are, what is important to them and will circle back to the info they have given about themselves. I'm not going to continue a relationship w/ someone who has given me bad info about the city they were raised in, why they have moved to my town, etc.

>Oct 2025 Update - I was contacted by the Client Manager very soon after this review posted. I appreciated the quick response and her commitment to remedy what was a difficult situation for me. She offered a very reasonable solution to the situation, to which I am most appreciative.

I was really impressed with Vida Select’s service. My matchmaker (Nordika Hawkens) really understood which apps to target and knew how to curate a strong profile gave me a lot of confidence. Nordika was professional, highly engaged, and incredibly insightful throughout the process. Thanks to her diligent efforts, I was very satisfied with the results and actually ended my search earlier than I expected.

I'm a busy professional and was skeptical at first about trying this. Honestly the setup took way longer than expected - took almost 3 weeks before things got going, which was frustrating when you're paying for results. But once we went live, within literally days I started seeing results. Had 3 dates in one weekend (!) and one of them I am still dating and falling in love with. The slow start was frustrating, but I'm giving this 5 stars because at the end of the day, I met someone amazing and that was literally the whole point. Can't complain when I found what I was looking for.

I signed up with VIDA Select in Feb 2025, paying for their premium matchmaking package, expecting professional and personalized service based on their marketing. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing. After three months, I was not introduced to a single match, despite assurances of curated, compatible profiles.
The process started with a lengthy intake call, which felt thorough, and of course they make big promises. My assigned matchmakers sent me matches that did not meet my criteria even after long conversations detailing what I was looking for, and follow-up emails and calls were frustrating and unhelpful. I was told matches were being considered but no profiles were ever presented. For the high cost, I expected proactive updates and at least a few introductions, but I received neither.
Even their Client Services Manager was unable to help after I voiced my concerns.
When I raised concerns, the team offered vague explanations about "market challenges" and suggested upgrading to a more expensive package for better results, which felt like an upsell tactic. They should offer a refund for not delivering anything except frustration.
Overall, the service failed to deliver on its promises. I caution others to carefully research before investing such a significant sum with VIDA Select, as my experience yielded zero results and poor customer service.
If VIDA wants to dispute any of the claims I'm making I have all the receipts and communication records. I'm happy to share them with anything that wants to see them.
