The following below are my Pros & Cons about Vonage Landline Phone Service:
Pro:
1) Price. Compare other Landline service like Spectrum or AT&T, other landline service really rip you off in terms of their crazy high prices. With Vonage, they are by far the most affordable Landline Service
2) Still allow usage of Landline. Most phone companies want you to switch to Mobile. Vonage at least still stick with Landline if you really want to keep your Landline service.
Con:
1) Not enough protection against Robocalls & Spam Calls. You get what you paid for: their cheap service does not really have the features to protect you against those annoying Robocalls & Spam Calls. Other phone companies like Spectrum has those features, particularly features where you have "selected" phone numbers list. Unfortunately, Vonage does not have that feature like the other phone companies & as I mentioned before, you get what you paid for. Vonage use Nomorobo program from protecting you from Robocalls & Spam Calls. However, I have a bad review about Nomorobo; Nomorobo is USELESS.
Overall, good price, but beware the good price comes at a price of accepting that your phone is not protected against Robocalls & Spam Calls. Therefore, So-So in terms of Landline Service.

Vonage has been our provider for 19 years. We use talk world, message service along with virtual numbers.
Message service translates the message via AI to a text format which is very good aspect.
On occasion when there has been issues with lines being crossed & they have worked very hard to resolve them.
On the whole when one gets good service you tend to stay with the provider.
19 years is a testament to the service they offer.
In all that time the service has been unparalleled, along with top tier customer care. Have no reservations in recommending Vonageforhome for all your VOIP telephony needs.

I've been with Vonage for a VERY long time now, and I've seen how they've evolved over the years. Many years ago, I had issue with their customer service, as I felt that they did not possess a sufficient comprehension of the English language necessary to do their job, however in recent interactions with their technical support, I was stunned to see that they have heard my complaints loud and clear and have actually done what needed to be done to rectify the issue. I'm truly impressed with just how far they've progressed over the years. The other good thing to know is that ever since my first little hiccup many years back, my service has been stable, reliable, and perfectly functional for many, many years. When I did run into a problem recently, their first line tech support agents were able to zero in on and correct the issue in a timely manner. I'm glad I stuck it out over the years. There may be less expensive options out there, but from my experience, their competition either lacks certain critical features that I need (like a fax line), or falls short on their standard for customer service. So... They may be a little more than some of their competition, however in my experience, they are well worth the extra money.

Vonage for Home has an application called Extensions which allows you to make and receive calls from your cell phone using your Vonage VOIP (land line) number. The app was defaulting to my cell number when I would make outgoing calls, and I did not want to share my cell number with the parties I was calling. The staff at Vonage were helpful in guiding me through the steps to enable outgoing calls within Extensions and to avoid defaulting to my phone app. Now I don't receive unwelcome texts from the parties I call, which is great. Thanks, Vonage!

Vonage automatically bills your credit card for the yearly subscription; however, they do not email, mail or otherwise notify you that your subscription is renewing. I have been a 19 year customer and when I tried to cancel they will not give any type of refund for the unused portion of the bill. I have a $313 yearly subscription that actually cost $493 after they add 'fees'. In my opinion it is bad customer service to have rules in place that ONLY benefit the company without regard for the customer.
