Water Babies - Lancashire Reviews 

My daughter is 7 and we chose water babies for her, it was honestly the best decision we made! The only thing is that I wish I signed up sooner! So naturally when I was pregnant with my son I booked his classes as soon as possible! He has been going since he was 5 weeks old and honestly it’s amazing! Jackie our swimming instructor is so lovely! Splash at riverside is great as it’s a small pool!

Water babies is such a special place and I would recommend to everybody 💙. My three year old has been going since he was a few months old and is so confident in the water. He loves his lessons with Jackie. She is so sweet, kind and patient and we’re soo grateful for her and water babies for helping teach him essential skills for life. Thank you water babies!!

I cannot recommend water babies Lancashire enough! We have been coming since my little boy was 3 months old. We have loved every lesson! Jackie is amazing & always so lovely and patient with everyone. We went on holiday and my little boy absolutely loved the pool & I know coming to lessons from such a young age has really helped his confidence.

Communication with Holly & the team has been fantastic, always so friendly & helpful.

We’ve been taking our daughter to Water Babies Lancashire since she was just 12 weeks old, and she’s now a year and a half and she absolutely loves it!

Her Sunday swim has become the highlight of her week. It’s been amazing to watch her confidence in the water grow week by week. She’s now so comfortable that she even tries to “swim” every night in the bath!

When we take her abroad on holiday, we get so many comments from other parents about how confident she is in the water, which really shows how much these lessons have helped her.

The skills these lessons teach babies and toddlers are truly invaluable. Not only is it great fun for them, but it also builds water confidence and safety from such an early age. We’re so glad we started when we did and would highly recommend Water Babies Lancashire to any parents thinking about baby swimming classes.

Fantastic teachers who are warm and knowledgeable and well structured lessons

Love the Sunday morning classes that both of my children go to. They have both been in the pool with Water Babies since they were 2 weeks old and it shows. My 3 year old is now very confident in the water and is able to keep himself safe which is particularly reassuring when we are all on holiday. My 1 year old is heading in the same direction and loves being in the water. The teachers are incredibly welcoming and friendly and play a huge part the kids development.

We have been swimming with Water Babies since my little girl was 3 months old and we have absolutely loved every second! She is now 2 and a half and during our time at Water Babies we have had 3 teachers, Leanne, Lizzie and Jackie, all whom have been absolutely fantastic with my daughter! We currently swim with Lizzie who is amazing at what she does! The enthusiasm and patience she has with the children is incredible and we always have the best time swimming on a Sunday with her.

Communication from the team to myself has been nothing but positive. We are always made aware what stage in their swimming journey the children are up to, and will get told about any new and exciting events taking place. Would give this place 10 stars if I could! ⭐️

We’ve had a fantastic experience with water babies! The teachers are truly excellent, you can tell they genuinely care about the children and their progress. Their attention to detail is outstanding, and they make sure every single child is accounted for and supported throughout the session.

The lessons are very well organised, and the instructors create such a safe, positive environment for both babies and parents. They’re always attentive, patient, and quick to notice if a child needs extra help or encouragement.

It’s clear a lot of thought goes into how the classes are run, and that level of care really shows. Highly recommend!

From start to finish our experience with water babies at Splash at Darwen was brilliant. Jackie provided a really welcoming and engaging environment for our baby.

Would definitely recommend and only stopped attending due to a change in our circumstances.

Absolutely amazing baby swim class and teacher! Olivia is so patient, kind, and knowledgeable, and makes every class feel safe, calm, and fun for both babies and parents. My baby has gained so much confidence in the water, and it’s been incredible to see the progress each week. The class is well-structured, engaging, and perfectly suited for little ones. My son has attended Waterbabies at Penwortham with Jackie for over a year to date.
We have absolutely loved it and his water confidence and his swimming skills and improved greatly. He was only 6 months old when he started so it’s been so lovely to watch him grow and improve. Jackie was fantastic - so friendly and my son spent every lesson smiling his way through it. He loved the songs and the different games that he played. We are only leaving water babies due to my work situation changing.

I loved taking my son to Water Babies at Acresfield. The only reason we stopped going was due to relocating, but we’re now at a Water Babies in Scotland. The main reason swimming was so good was because of Lizzie - her enthusiasm and joy just made it so wonderful. She was also really reassuring and I always felt we were in safe hands. I can’t emphasise enough how great she is at teaching. It’s a bonus at Acresfield that the facilities are also lovely - the pool was always warm and the changing rooms are really clean, there’s just not enough space for changing babies. I really loved taking my son, and it was my favourite day of the week because we’d have our swimming lesson, so I would recommend it to anyone considering it

Great lessons, lovely warm pool, small groups

Baby loves swimming lessons and we can see an improvement each week. Went away on holiday last week and we felt so comfortable and confident being in the water with her knowing she was used to the water and being underwater incase she ended up dipping in or water went on her face. Brilliant. The lessons are very fun and interactive with nursery rhymes and singing and dancing. She has learnt so many new skills in just the last 2 months and exciting to know where she will be in the next 6 months or so. A skill to last a lifetime and love for being in the water too.

Communication is awful. I was only told my lessons would not be starting at the initial start date 2 days before they were meant to begin. I had to keep ringing up to find out what was going on (whether going to a different pool or just waiting till later date). I was told a new start date (after ringing up several times) and then again this didn’t happen. I had to ring up again to confirm what Leyland leisure centre had put on Facebook (that the swimming pool wouldn’t be opening till later that month). Eventually I cancelled the membership as I wasn’t getting any lessons and the communication about this was atrocious. It has been 6 weeks and I still don’t have a refund that was promised. I have rang up two weeks after initially being told I would get a refund for the missed lessons to be told it was being processed. I then rang up another 2 days after to be told it had been credited to my waterbabies account for future lessons… I was finally told that this was down sorted and it would come back to my account within 3-5 days. They said that the refund would come back in 2 parts. I have now got the first part but I am STILL waiting for the second part. When I rang back again they said that they couldn’t do it so would send it by bank transfer… This hasn’t happened. At this rate I am never getting the money back. In addition, they never pick up the phone when you call, adding to the time taken to deal with issues.
Communication with parents regarding lessons needs massively improving and is the main reason I have chosen to go elsewhere. It is not worth the hassle. It feels like a company that isn’t used to dealing with customers and is very new to organisation.

I moved from water babies wiltshire to water babies Lancashire and what a disappointment it is!
The teachers are not as friendly and interactive, the pool is usually busy with other people swimming so its extremely noisy and no space to do our lesson, the pool isn't the best as im only small (5ft5) and im forced to go on my tip toes or swim alot during the lesson as its a very deep pool, my daughters on the exact same lesson she was in wiltshire yet lancashire do things very differently and have different songs and half the stuff we where doing before we haven't even done here!
For example when it comes to independent swimming we all did it at the beginning of the lesson with the teacher in wiltshire, we took it in turns so everyone got to swim independently. Here in Lancashire if your lucky once every 2 months maybe (if that) you might get to do an independent swim to a random adult who's child also doing lessons, so you dont really want to go and swim to them because you dont know them!

So far there's nothing much ived liked about moving to lancashire water babies which upsets me as me and my daughter both really enjoyed wiltshire one so much and would go back in a heart beat. I think we pray it gets better!
