Pretty much a bad experiance, our solicitor at the firm was Honey Shakeri (some associate) who oversaw the process, who failed to exercise their own due diligence in checking whether they where on the Halifax panel, which led them attempting to charge an extra £250 + VAT, it also took her approx 4 x weeks from getting the signed client care letter back to getting the initial enquiries to the sellers solicitors, which time consuming and indicated no priority from their side. I really can't say I would recommend them. It also took ages to be connected and never recieving timely call back requests.

The fact they where also not on the Lenders panel and failed to oversee this at the point of the process at start means they wanted to attempt to use a 3rd party which added more costs, and I imagine, more red tape, and time.

Ended up cutting my losses, and using another

I had a very positive experience with Waterstone and Nithi in particular. Always responded to emails and calls promptly and advised me throughout the property purchase journey.

Maruf and Fiza recently handled a property purchase and transfer of equity for me and I cannot recommend them enough.

From start to finish, they went above and beyond in what, thanks to them, was a very seamless process. Their communication was excellent, they took the time to answer the endless questions I had, listen to my doubts and concerns and advise me throughout the process.

They were professional, courteous and supportive. I was kept in the loop at all times and they genuinely treated me in a way that made me feel like I mattered, and not just another case.

I cannot thank Maruf and Fiza enough for what they did for me and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. 5 stars simply isn’t enough for the service they gave.

Even the estate agent, who was working for the seller, commented that my solicitors had been amazing!

Overall, an excellent experience. Sold our house with the help of Maruf, who was prompt, courteous and helpful. We're sufficiently pleased with the service that we've now instructed Waterstone to act for us in our follow-up house purchase. The only negative is that the 'perfect portal' website - which is supposed to keep you up to date with progress and tell you what you have to do next - doesn't seem to be updated until well after the event, which makes it a bit pointless. Just a minor quibble, which doesn't stop us wholeheartedly recommending Waterstone as conveyancers.
