We're Fluus, the creators of the world's first fully flushable period pad. We're on a mission to stop harmful chemicals against our skin, microplastics in waterways and permanent waste caused by period products. As well as being fully flushable, Fluus is the first truly microplastic free period pad in the world (we know because we built the world's first microplastic free, high speed manufacturing line). As well as respecting our planet, this means that there's no sweaty plastic against your skin. Made from cellulose plant fibres, Fluus is hypoallergnic and has passed skin and vaginal sensitivity tests, making it perfect for even the most sensitive skin. To make Fluus both absorbent AND flushable, we created our patented technology called Flushtec®. It is a combination of materials and first-of-its-kind manufacturing process which makes Fluus pads naturally absorbent, but they only start breaking down once they're fully submerged in turbulent water. Want to know how it really works? The volume and hydraulic action of the flush tear the pad apart. It breaks down even further as it travels through the drainline. The disintegrated pad arrives at the water treatment centre, having broken down into cellulose plant fibres half the size of an eyelash. Here it can safely pass through the screens where it is treated and converted into biogas and fertiliser, creating a circular product lifecycle. Conventional pads contain 90% plastic and take over 500 years to degrade. We believe companies should take responsibility for the complete lifecycle of the products they create. Flush and forget.

Stiff, inflexible, uncomfortable and disintegrate while wearing
I thought id give these a try because they didn't have my usual organic pads in tesco, and these are awful! They feel like a stupid chunk of cardboard, are so inflexible and disintegrate as mentioned in other reviews. I made the mistake of wearing my first one to bed and woke up covered in blood as the pad has disintegrated underneath! The concept is quite bizarre because if you flush them why would they be designed for holding body fluids?
Brought for the 1st time today and…
Brought for the 1st time today and instantly regretted it as soon as I open the packet. The concept is great but these pads are so uncomfortable to wear and feel so stiff and like cardboard. The stickiness isn't great either. I won't be buying again
Worst pads I've ever tried
I have been menstruating for about 12 years of my life now and I have never used a pad that I hated as much as Fluus pads. They are stiff and disentagrate within a few hours of use. I dread to think how messy things would get on a heavy flow day. What an absolute waste of money.
So sad they went into administration
Loved these as a eco-friendly and truly flushable pads. I've been using them since they wanted Beta testers a few years ago, so I've seen the investment and improvements into a great idea and product. Since the beginning of 2026, they went into administration after no investors came forward to make this to be more available. Typical. I still see them advertised for Boots and Tescos, yet I don't see them in stores. I hope this idea is picked up by other companies with similar values, like Here We Flo, because I would hate all this research to go to waste.
The packaging 📦 is cool
The packaging 📦 is cool, a slim cardboard box envelope with a tasteful logo and then all the eco pads laid out nicely when you open it. The pads are great, I have been using them for over a year ot two and I would hate to have to buy anything else
Game changer pads
I was really excited to see these new pads as they are flushable (I dislike having to use those pad bins in public toilets), bio-degradable and kind to the environment - a game changer!
When I first used the pads, I was surprised to note how different they were to other pads on the market but was up for the new experience.
Like other reviews have mentioned, the pads are stiff and a little awkward to unfold and position but you get the hang of it after a few uses.
Absorbency is excellent.
I look forward to more options and sizes as I love the concept and will continue to buy these.
More like a prototype
Bought from Tesco as I'm always looking for an eco-friendly period pad rather than the plastic majority. I liked the concept of these so paid £4 for 10 pads.
I've now finished the pack, and I'm unlikely to buy them again as they currently are.
The pros - feel surprisingly comfortable once on; the pads are a good size, and a bit wider at the front.
The cons - the pads are very stiff and hard to place as the two squares of adhesive don't seem quite able to hold a newly-opened pad flat; when removing the pads, all of the adhesive stayed on my knickers, ripping the pad open at the back (this happened with the whole pack) and was almost impossible to remove from the fabric; the pads themselves broke up in the middle just from gentle movement e.g. walking around, getting up and down from a chair, so there was a gap with no protection (this happened with 6/10 pads); as they're a bit less absorbent there was more mess to clean up; the wings were too stiff and not adhesive enough to stick to my knickers so ended up stuck to the underside of the pad.
I really wanted to love this product, but it seems like they just weren't quite ready to come to market yet - more like a prototype than the real thing. I'll be interested to see if there are any improvements made, and I really do love the concept of a completely biodegradable pad. I hope they get there!
Not yet there for me
I got the three pad trial, and received the parcel quickly- all good there. I really like the concept and I do try to use products that are natural and produce less waste, but I don't think quality is there yet. Absorbency is okay and I like the plastic-free wrap but I found pads lack stickiness and unfortunately the material feels very, raspy and carton-ish (I have sensitive skin).
I don't think I will move to Fluus permanently but I will definitely try again in the future.

Uncomfortable and brake down within the hour
I tested these pads because the brand highlights their flushable design, which initially seemed a wonderful idea. However, they are quite uncomfortable but what’s worse is that the pads began to break down within one to two hours of wear. For someone with a very light period, they may be adequate. For anyone with a regular or heavier flow, I would not recommend them, as they are likely to disintegrate during use, an experience no one wants to deal with.

I have pros and cons with these…
I have pros and cons with these products. I love that everything is flushable, no mess and good for the environment due to this is triumph’s any con that I have ingenious idea.
But for those of you interested the cons: they are a little rough and stiff, once they are on they are fine and you hardly notice it.
I find I have to change them more frequently, when I am bleeding a bit heavier they can start to wear in the middle and get a bit thin (I do not and have never leaked out of them)
The glue on the outside that sticks to your pants sometimes remains when the pad is removed but they wash away without even noticing it was there in the wash.
Even with the cons I still highly recommend this product for it convenience and efficiency I love them and will not be swapping back

I was really curious about this…
I was really curious about this product, and honestly, it's a great idea, a great option for not polluting the environment. Flushable pads are something special, though I admit I was afraid to flush them, but I took the risk, and they work 😊
They look and feel like toilet paper. They're comfortable, lightweight, and you don't even feel like you're wearing them, but the adhesive pads are hard to remove. They do the job, though I don't know if they work during heavy periods, as I don't have any.
It's a nice option, but I'm not sure I'd want to use them regularly.

The best!
Fluus pads are absolutely amazing, many people are skeptical and think they won’t flush, but they do! They literally break down when water smashes them and yet they are able to hold so much fluid when dry. Fantastic invention, no itching or burning after wearing unlike most brands. 100/10 cannot recommend Fluus highly enough.

Comfortable!
I was worried how comfortable their pads would feel compared to regular ones, as I'm quite picky and avoid pads dues to discomfort. But they're good! Feels just like normal pads/liners to me. I only wish they were around when I was in school!

zero waste and charmful chemicals free
Love that the pads are completely free of harmful chemicals and create zero waste.
Upset that despite my previous comments that I don't like the wings and have to cut them off as they don't offer any other option, the wings have changed and are even more annoying to cut off now.

Fully flushable sanitary wear
The first fully flushable sanitary wear pad. Sceptical, but really no need to be. Great quality and protection. These are brilliant and I think Fluus has to be the sensible way forward for us girls. Thank you.

I would not switch back to any other brands now!
I love these fluus pads and would not go back to well known brands in the market anymore! Yes they are a teeny bit pricey but I'm OK with that as I no more have rashes, annoying spots, thrush etc. The cotton feels nice next to my skin and feels dry even on heavy days. I've got most of my friends to switch too. They were skeptical at the start with the whole omg shall I flush it down the loo and all that, but once they tried the pack I gave them, they were more relaxed about it.
The sticky bits are a bit annoying on the sides, thigh area sometimes not always, but I've given feedback to Fluus before about this and I am sure they will take the feedback on board in their next manufacturing batch. You should definately get a trial pack and try it. It's great for the environment and we should all support this great initiative taken by Fluus.

I love these products
I love these products. It's so nice to know that there are no nasty plastics, in the wrapper, in the pads, and the fact they can be flushed makes life easy. I really like that they are unscented too. They're comfier than plastic pads, more breathable (and they don't 'rustle' in the same way). I find the absorbency to be great. All round they feel healthier and more hygienic than other pads I've tried and I'm so happy they're bringing out liners.

There not bad i like that they flush…
There not bad i like that they flush away but the glue does stick to your underwear that’s what I dont like and the wings are not to easy to put doing your underwear also I wish they were more cheaper as they are quite pricey and for only 12 if you wanted to start paying

Good product but…
Good product, flushes well and convenient. However, the glue ruins your underwear and you do have to make sure you change the pad more frequently as they can start to disintegrate which isn’t great for overnight or if you’re stuck somewhere. After a good many months of trying. Unfortunately, I have now cancelled my subscription due to the glue, if this could be addressed it would be a great product!
