HI Weldrick Ltd is a family-owned company registered in England and based in Doncaster, Yorkshire- we have had an internet presence since 1998. We fully pay UK taxes and we do not divulge your personal data to any third parties. We have a pharmacy tradition dating back to the 1930s when our late founders' grandmother opened her first pharmacy in Doncaster Town Centre. Remaining true to his vision our business remains 100% family-owned. With a commitment to community healthcare and staff training we have steadily grown to 59 pharmacies in the South Yorkshire area. We employ over 600 formally trained staff among who are more than 80 pharmacists, including 9 clinical pharmacists. While our aim is not to make any mistakes we recognise they will happen occasionally and if they do we commit to communicating with our customers, do our best to put the problem right, identify the cause of the error and learn from it.

Appalling service

Appalling service, I submitted my repeat prescription for blood pressure medication 7-days ago and have only just received a message saying they're still working on it and don't come to the pharmacy.

This is a constant problem and I am now again without medication, I'm so fed up with the diabolical service I'm going to take my requirements else where.

Pet medication online.

It is very easy to order my dog’s medication from the prescription I got from the vet. I am kept up to date from when my order is received to when it is ready to collect. I use the Click and Collect option. It is a good service.

On time and efficient

Couldn't buy what I wanted from another seller and turned to Weldricks Pharmacy and was able to purchase what I wanted. Courteous service, good price and on time delivery

I would not recommend buying important…

I would not recommend buying important medication though this pharmacy if you require a prescription, as they tell you it has been approved by the pharmacist uploading it on their website. I’ve waited two weeks for important medication for my dog, I paid priority delivery I did it on the 3rd of this month and it’s been two weeks so I emailed to chase and they’ve told me I have to send it via post! But they approved it on their website that it’s been checked etc and approved. Just not worth it if your waiting for important medication, avoid at all costs

I completely understand how distressing it is to be waiting for essential treatment, and I offer my apologies for the lack of proactive communication you received.

I have looked closely into your order to understand where the confusion occurred. First, I must clarify the process for Controlled Drugs. Under strict UK regulations, a pharmacy must be in physical possession of the original, ink-signed paper prescription before we can legally dispense and dispatch the medication.

While you successfully uploaded a copy of the prescription, I note that seeing the initial status as ‘checked’ and ‘approved’ by a pharmacist led you to believe the order was moving toward dispatch. This initial verification is mandatory; a technician or pharmacist must check the clinical details on your upload for safety. It does not, however, bypass the legal requirement for the physical document.

We do endeavour to make this mandatory requirement extremely clear at the point of ordering, specifying directly on the product page and again during the checkout process—as noted in the warning shown—that Controlled Drugs can only be processed and dispatched on receipt of the paper copy. I am truly sorry that you missed this instruction at the time.

Most importantly, however, I would like to apologise for the two-week delay in our team reaching out to you. Regardless of the instructions provided during ordering, we strive to follow up promptly if an original prescription has not arrived. It is unacceptable that you were left waiting without updates and had to chase us. I have shared your comments with our Customer Service and Dispensary managers to ensure we implement more robust proactive reminders for held orders.

I needed an urgent prescription (…

I needed an urgent prescription ( controlled drug) for my dog and I found this pharmacy online which said upload your prescription. As I needed this urgently and my vet was out of stock I ordered ,uploaded my prescription order accepted.
Then reading the small print it said we will only post controlled drugs on receipt of the paper copy . It was Thursday evening, I posted it ,it would arrive by Saturday morning,they would acknowledge it Monday and post my dogs meds I would receive by Wednesday and I had to hope that he didn't have a seizure before then.
Nothing by Wednesday so I emailed asking where it was. I was told that after they receive the paper prescription it takes 3 to 5 days before dispatch!!
It is actually 13 days and his meds are supposedly arriving tomorrow.
Don't use them if you need prescription meds quickly.
My pet insurance has paid out quicker than I received this order!!!

I completely understand how worrying it is when managing a condition where seizures are a risk, and I sincerely regret that our service on this occasion did not meet your expectations for an urgent requirement.

I have looked closely at the timeline of your order to provide some clarity on the process. As you mentioned, this order was for a Controlled Drug. Under UK law and for the safety of your pet, we are strictly required to be in physical possession of the original paper prescription before we can legally dispatch the medication. While we allow for an initial upload to begin the clinical checks, we do highlight during the checkout process that the hard copy must be received by us in the post first.

Your order was placed on Thursday 5th March, and we received your paper prescription in the post on Monday 9th March. Once received, every prescription must undergo a series of mandatory safety checks. I can see that your order was clinically approved by our pharmacist on Tuesday 10th March and moved to our dispensary for assembly.

We state on our website and in our communications that customers should allow 3–5 working days for processing once the prescription is received. Your medication was dispensed and undergone its final pharmacist safety check by Saturday 14th March, which falls within that 5-working-day window. It was then dispatched on Monday 16th March.

I am sorry that the combination of the postal time for the prescription to reach us, followed by our standard dispensing window, resulted in a longer wait than you had anticipated. We do our best to be transparent about these timeframes so that customers can plan accordingly, especially for critical medications, but I appreciate that in an urgent situation, this can feel like an unnecessary delay.

I have shared your comments with our pharmacy manager to see if there are any ways we can further highlight the specific requirements for Controlled Drugs to new customers in the future.

Poor customer service.

Checked whether a pet drug (vet bromide)was in stock online at Weldricks before ordering as a 1st order with the company.It said it was,these drugs are crucial to our epileptic dog.I decided to contact Weldricks 3 days after placing the order as I had no order progress notifications was then told "sorry drug out of stock",and no notice until April when new stock may arrive.
Customer service on this occasion was poor,if the company had told me straightaway there was no stock or updated it's website,I would not have wasted 3 or 4 days searching for the drug.

While we strive for real-time accuracy, occasionally supply chain variables or simultaneous orders can create a discrepancy. I also appreciate that waiting until Thursday for this update cost you valuable time in sourcing the medication elsewhere, and for that delay, I offer my sincere apologies.

Our records show that the order was aborted on Thursday afternoon as soon as the shortage was confirmed to allow you to seek the medicine locally. Awful company

I placed an order on 4th March for 3 bottles of Reconcile for my dog and its now the 16th and still not despatched.
I never had any email confirmation and when I chased last week was tole it would be fast tracked.
Avoid this phamacy if you actually want to receive the medication for your pets.
Heres hoping I get my refund ASAP

Your order was placed on Wednesday 4th March and as a registered pharmacy, all prescriptions must undergo a rigorous clinical safety check. I note that when you spoke with our team on the 11th, we looked to fast-track the dispensing process; however, I am truly sorry that the medication had still not been dispatched by Monday 16th March. Ordered my dogs medication on Monday

Ordered my dogs medication on Monday, My vet sent the prescription on Tuesday and it has been approved by Weldricks on the same day. The order is still showing as unfulfilled on Friday. Paid for next day delivery. My dog has epilepsy and has no medicine now, a complete and utter disaster. Sent a message to them yesterday and had no response. Won’t be using them again!!

UPDATE- 17-03-2026
Had to go to my vet to get emergency medication to last to today as Weldricks stated it would be dispatched on Monday and delivered on Tuesday , Not much of a surprise that as of today it's still not been dispatched. Dogs medication ran out again . Unbelievable!!!
