I bought the Bristol Shire Mucker Green Wheelbarrow - 90 Ltr / 120kg to replace a 30 yer old ‘Fort’ barrow which was about to be retired. The Bristol Shire Mucker should be renamed in rhyming slang! It is so flimsy it tips over with the slightest weight placed in it…. As an example I put 2 pairs of pruning loppers in it and it went over! It is dangerous and not fit for purpose. When I complained to this company they simply referred me to the description on their website - which clearly contravenes weights and measures, health and safety etc. etc - steer clear at all costs.

Bought a Bristol 175L barrow in February. Since then, both original tyres have suddenly deflated, looks like faulty valves. I phoned to ask if this is a known problem and they weren't really interested. I've already had to by a replacement wheel, now need to buy a second and just want to know if it will keep happening. Just kept saying it's nothing to do with us, we only sell them. Very frustrating!

I bought a wheelbarrow from this company in June 24 and not fit for purpose. The screws wouldn’t tighten because the frame was faulty. I was in the middle of a garden project and it fell apart.
I complained to the company and asked for a refund. They requested video evidence which I sent and they eventually offered me a new frame. I explained again I want to return it for a full refund.
I then got offered a partial refund but again I explained I urgently need to buy another wheelbarrow as mid of garden project and I want to get it picked up and be given a full refund. I sent them details of my consumer rights etc.
I am now being ignored.
I have had to raise a claim with my credit card now and still have no wheelbarrow.
Spending £80 is a lot of money to be treated like this. I cannot afford another one without my refund.
My advice would be to anyone DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
I accept items can be faulty but a consumer has rights. This co are not willing to help me out with a full refund within a week of purchasing. Customer service is very important to me especially buying on line and this company are just awful.

Great people to deal,with, nothing was too much trouble. Wheelbarrow arrived well within 24 hours from ordering. Easy to build, a very strong and well made product. Used a few time already moving a pile of stones around the garden. Would

Bought a two wheel no puncture wheelbarrow . Delivery was quick but the state of the product when delivered was shocking . One of the parts is missing , the instructions so faint as to be illegible and the wheel is dented . Called and a very nice man told me to email . No reply on email after 5 emails . I’m very dubious like others about the positive reviews as I think they must be fake . This is a company who cannot manage the administration . Yes items can get lost or damaged in transit but after forking out over £150 they should at least acknowledge complaint and suggest a solution

Bought wheelbarrow grips at great price free delivery! Arrived within two days, great product. Really can’t believe this super service. Shipped by DHL.

I placed an order with this company on Tue 26 March, within their deadline to "get this item tomorrow". I needed it in time for the holiday weekend for a specific job. By the Thursday it had still not been dispatched, so I telephoned to cancel the order so I could purchase one locally. Their telephone message said "there is a fault with this number, please redial on [another number]. I dialled the alternate number...which diverted me back to the same message.

I emailed to cancel the order, but received no response. I telephoned them the following week and managed to get through, and informed them that I wanted to cancel the order. They said (honestly) "you have to phone if you want to cancel and order because we dont really read emails, they just go into an inbox somewhere else".

They informed me that the wheelbarrow was in transit and could no longer be cancelled. This was on the 2nd April, and after some discussion, they agreed to contact the courier and get back to me...which they never did.

I tried several times to contact them again and 0n 10/04 received an email saying "We can see that it was delivered on 06/04/24" which it wasn't. I informed them of this, and they replied to say the courier assures them it will be delivered on 12/04/24.

Still no delivery

No reply to my subsequent emails

My advice is to avoid this company at all costs.

I ordered a wheelbarrow which arrived 8 days later. I struggled to put it together with defective bolts, and the frame was badly made with lumps of metal over the holes where the barrow part fitted, so did not fit in the pre drilled holes. The bolts supplied to fit the barrow together, were defective, and the instructions supplied were so faint they were illegible. I called the company immediately was told to email them. The reply email told me I was in a queue and eventually they replied to me over a week later, telling me that they could do nothing about it. (The email queue of complaints had to be massive to wait a week for a reply!).
The poorly assembled wheelbarrow isn’t easy to tip, and doesn’t empty without forking the contents out, It is a total waste of money! Cannot recommend this company at all.

If I could assign 0 stars I would. I ordered a wheelbarrow for my sister for her birthday in mid-feb. As of today (10th April) she still hasn’t received it. I tried calling on the number provided which claimed they were having technical issues and to call a different number. I called that number only to hear the automated voice tell me the same thing and direct me to the first number I tried! So I tried emailing the company. After a week with no response I disputed the claim with my credit card company and have been reimbursed in full. 24hrs after the reimbursement I received an email from the wheelbarrow company apologising for the delay in responding and did I still have a query! Unbelievable.

I’m not sure if this is now a scam company, but buyer beware. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I ordered a wheelbarrow for Next Day delivery well before the cut off time for dispatch and it wasn't received within the expected time frame. I emailed the company multiple times regarding this and they have chosen to ignore all of my emails.

When the wheelbarrow finally arrived the quality was not as expected. The materials feel and look cheap, the barrow itself is flimsy and it doesn't seem like it will last longer than 3 months despite it being advertised as 'heavy duty'. I would not recommend this company or its products to anyone.

The wheelbarrow I bought for £80 arrived damaged therefore I need to return it. Emailed to arrange a return but nobody got back to me , so I called them only to find out that the M now responsible to pay for the return cost- regardless that it’s not my fault that it arrived with dents all over it.
A company I would never use again and I recommend everyone to stay away from them too.

Item never received, courier left outside an unknown incorrect address, i have contacted this company and had one reply, reported to police given them the crime reference number and yet still not reply. No offer of a refund, no replacement or even an apology. Just pure ignorance. Do not buy

I bought a replacement wheelbarrow tyre and inner tube set for my ancient Walsall Wheelbarrow. It was excellent value at less than £20 and arrived very quickly indeed, which was great. I recently purchased a Invincible Galvanised Wheelbarrow (120 Ltr / 175kg). The item was despatched quickly and arrived on a pallet fully wrapped and protected. Consequently it arrived in perfect condition. It is very strong, light and well balanced when in use.

Purchased a wheel with tubed tyre March 2022 to replace the original wheel & tyre on my galvanised barrow that was purchased from Mole Valley Farmers in the mid 1990’s. Despite being used for all the building work done at home the only thing to fail was the wheel due to rust as it did get knocked about a bit hence this purchase. I moved about 20 loads of soil & 4 tons of 20mm stone after fitting the new wheel & tyre and i did not get it out again until I wanted to use it on the 20th July 2023, the tyre was flat and when squeezed it became apparent that it was basically falling apart. I contacted wheelbarrows to be told it was a consumable item and it only had a 3 month warranty from purchase. I can’t believe one tyre can survive well in excess of 20 years and another one effectively did two days work absolute litter, shocking this throwaway society constant manufacture of shoddy substandard goods that aren’t cheap to the consumer just another thing that shows how greed has always had an effect on climate change

I had an issue a couple of months after buying a £300 Bristol barrow (awesome barrow other than the issue I had). The frame broke and the shop gave me the benefit of the doubt and replaced it. Replies were fairly quick (day or two). Would definitely use them again.

Generally the service and speed of delivery is good. The choice of wheelbarrows also good. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because of the product quality. My two wheeled wheelbarrow has had light use for a year and yet the welds on both wheels (that hold the wheel to the hub and bearing) failed. When I showed this to a local welder he confirmed that the weld was very poor and temperature was likely too high. I also learned that the wheels only have 3 months warranty. Really, who would buy a barrow that could not be used if the wheels failed anytime after 3 months. I wrote to the company and they confirmed that the barrow (and wheels) were out of warranty. As I cannot be confident of the build quality of any of their barrows, I would not purchase from here again.

I decided to do a trust pilot rating for wheelbarrows.co uk, due to the fact you get an invite to review your barrow and if its negative it doesn't seem.to go up, anyway I bought a so called heavy duty wheel barrow from them, it's far from heavy duty flimsy plastic, frame is okay but the bucket om the barrow is shocking, after two weeks of gardening and some light landscaping it's destroyed the plastic has literally falling to bits, it's not like it was cheap at 160 quid I thought I was buying something decent wish I'd stuck to traditional brands lesson learnt by cheap by twice
