Service was absolutely excellent and second to none. Very helpful on the phone in advance of my visit and provided a very personal service in store for my daughter who was purchasing new ice skates. Both Gary and Alison were very knowledgeable and experienced. An added bonus was that it was very easy to find and parking was available.

I always use Al's for all my figure skating needs. Always top quality service. Recently, my skates have been really hurting my feet due to bunions, today I went in to get them punched out, as I bought my skates from here, they did this for FREE! Trying them on, I could notice an instant difference! Also got my skates sharpened. Thank you Al's. 100% recommended for all your skating needs.

Absolutely perfect service, accidentally order the wrong blade after speaking on the phone. They called us back and corrected the order, dropped the order off at the postoffice so we could get them earlier with it being a Saturday.
Arrived in time for us to get them fitted for my daughters first bronze level lesson.

I’m so pleased I popped over to Blackpool for new skates. Chatted with Pete over the phone prior to appointment and immediately felt reassured. Once there, the service was friendly, professional and I left feeling inspired! Pete and team are a great example of how things should be done and I would recommend anyone visit for all things on ice! Superb, thank you.

I travelled down from Scotland and it was worth every mile!!! Staff who were very knowledgeable, really friendly and took the time to make sure I got the right skates for my feet. Would highly recommend to anyone who is getting their first pair of skates or just a new pair.

Ordered my daughter her first pair of good skates, Als skate shop was so helpful! As we live in scotland, we couldn’t go in to get my daughters feet measured. They were so helpful showing me how to do it and answering all my questions! There was a problem with the blades we ordered, they werent going to arrive from canada in time, Alison let me know asap so we could sort something out. My daughter loves her Jackson Debuts. Very grateful for all your help!

Thank you so much Pete Alison and Gaz for really taking care of me for my new skates the price was superb I got some top of the range Bauer Hyperlite for £375 these are close to £800 skates the baking session was a joy and the skates fit as good as my true custom skates I can't thank you guys enough

Travelled all the way from Birmingham because Als skates is only shop I trust to get my jw revolution skates sharpened , really know what they are doing which most other places don't.

Brilliant experience, my daughter was fitted for new skates and Als picked up on the fact that she had a pronation of the foot and recommended custom orthotics. A visit to a sports podiatrist later and they agreed and she was fitted with custom orthotics which has actually been life changing for her! She says she finally feels that her foot is in the right position and she's been skating for 5 years! Would highly recommend a visit, we left with custom boot and blades and the knowledge that she had been fitted properly.

Excellent service. I placed my order online and within minutes Gary phoned me to say the item was out of stock and offered alternatives or he suggested that, if I was willing to wait, he could order the case of choice for me. It was a gift so I needed to phone my granddaughter to see what she wanted to do. When I phoned back Gary agreed to order the item and did so immediately. I am absolutely delighted both with the item and the service I received. Gary is a credit to the company. Thank you so much.

I was in search of over 50 ice skates for a charity project. I did some googling and went on twitter, where Al's Skate Shop and I collided. We had a few phone calls, some emails and then I had a short 360 round trip to them.

I collected my skates, which had been laced and Sharpened for us, and all fitted into the back of my boot - phew!

The communication and the helpfulness of the team was amazing. It made such a difference to us knowing that we were dealing with people who cared.

I needed a pair of figure skates after many years away from the ice and I had some specific needs that made finding a pair more tricky. The team were so helpful worked out exactly what I needed and how to get them. They kept in touch through the ordering process and arranged fitting at a time I could do. They are all knowledgable, skilful, kind and helpful. Couldn’t ask for a better service.

Genuine fantastic company to buy from. Great advice, speedy response, super lightning delivery and I am 'completey satisfied' with my purchasing experience, I would have no hesitation in buying again from Al's Skate Shop.

Excellent service, very competitive price and fantastic follow up customer service. Sadly my blades were peeling after one skate (rare manufacturer problem) and they took them back and got me new ones within a week ! Highly recommend and that's coming from a professional skating coach. ⛸️

After a local skate shop fitted my wife with a painful, oversized boot, in desperation I drove her 125 miles north to Al’s and ended up 100% satisfied with both the service and resulting purchase. Peter listened to her (skating) problems, analysed the causes and proposed a number of solutions at various price points. The whole process took two hours and at no point did we feel pressured to buy or that we were taking too much of Peter’s time. My wife’s protruding ankle problems were eventually solved with a pair of heat moulded Jackson Low Cut Debuts. More expensive than intended, but absence of pain trumps cost every time. I recommend Al’s Skate Shop without hesitation.

Best service I've experienced online in the last year at least. Very fast, very helpful and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back when I need more skating goodies.
