Bought a wine that was “rrp” £60 for £15. I looked online for how much it costs and i could get it for £25/£30. Then I paid delivery so for wine and delivery total cost was 29.48. Realistically I hadn’t saved anything.

A member now for 2 years. I’ve found myself paying slightly more than before but drinking a broader variety of better quality wines. Using the great information within the app, I am able to be more selective in what I drink.
Great business, delivery is good, savings are great.

After an initial problem I had with the App which the team promptly sorted - it simply required a re-loading of the App I have been impressed with the communication and clarity of information - and delicious wine!

Good selection of wines, some that cannot be bought elsewhere, the daily drops are great as some of the deals entice you to try new wines. Personal recommendations also given based on previous purchases. Service is good and delivery within a week, sometimes faster.

I came across Winedrops through an Instagram ad and decided to try their introductory wine offer, which I’ll admit was genuinely good value.

However, what I was not told anywhere in the ad or at the point of purchase was that I was signing up to an annual membership.

There was no clear disclosure during checkout, no confirmation email warning me this would be the case, and no reminder before the subscription renewed. I only found out I was locked into a yearly plan when I tried to cancel.

I understand that subscription models are a legitimate business practice, but they must be transparent. Burying a membership commitment where customers can’t see it particularly when targeting people through social media ads is, at best, poor practice and, at worst, deliberately misleading.

The wine itself is not the issue. The lack of honesty around what you’re actually agreeing to is. I’d encourage anyone considering Winedrops to read the small print very carefully before purchasing, and I’d urge the company to make their subscription terms front and centre, not hidden away.

I made the mistake of trying Winedrops from a too good to be true offer in Facebook.
The problems are all to do with the criminally poorly designed Windrops app.
You can order your wine. Hooray.
The next screen then asks you to review the wine. It will keep doing this every single time you look at your order, basket or browse wines. Every single time.
I looked at some ofther wines and ordered two. On looking at my order, I saw that there were two 'extra' wines added that I didn't want. The app had added them to my order. Unfortunately, there is NO delete option, so these two extra wines were added to my order.
I then looked around the app and saw 'lucky spin'. Here you can spin the wheel for the chance to win a £500 bottle. What I found was that the result was added to a new order and processed. I had bought another unwanted bottle of wine.
The app then asked me if I wanted to review my original wine (again). I was planning to leave a bad review and touched the screen. Guess what. It added a firther, single £59.99 bottle to a new order and processed it.
I now had 1 good order and three unwanted ones. I wrote asking for these to be cancelled and to ensure that Wimnedrops did NOT take my subscription. I got no response.
This meant I had to call my bank to block Winedrops transactions. I was told by Chase that 'several' customers had the same problem with this company. AVOID. The wine price is good, but the app in criminally poor and will cost you money.

Quick and easy access to quality wine.
Very pleased with the consistent quality at a fair price.

My parcel didn’t arrive due to damage on delivery so I reported it and straight away they issued me a full refund plus a little extra for more wine! 🙂

User friendly spp

I wasnt sure if I’d safely ordered the wine , the app wasn’t showing me that the order was complete ? My fault , did t understand what it was really telling me so I emailed the guys and they were super efficient in replying and reassuring me that my wine was reserved and that it was being dealt with at the factory . Michael was so helpful , can’t thank him enough . So far I’ve had a few deals with wine drop and can’t fault the wine of the process once you get you head round how things run and work . It would be better still if you can see the deal posted on other social networks on the wine drop app ? Again this is probably down to my lack of usage and locating these ( just incase they are on the app and I haven’t found them yet )

Really good wine for excellent value and very interesting choice, always something new to try

All the wines I have bought have been good. My only reason for knocking off one star is that some of the claimed savings are not actually that genuine. I would happily buy a wine for £15 that has a real £20 asking price than pretending that the average web price is £50 (when it isn’t)… but if you do your research you will know what you’re actually getting and the wine I’ve had so far is good, so I will forgive the (sometimes) outlandish price claims

Initial onboarding not that well done, because you find you’ve paid a subscription before checking out the site, also they only inform you that you’ve bought the wine going into your basket after you’ve been charged. However, once used to this the experience is very easy, if anything too easy :-)
