Could not recommend
Having chosen to place an order due to a number of positive reviews, I feel it is only fair to write about my experience.
I ordered a presentation box of wines on December 1st, and made clear in “delivery notes” that the order was a gift. Alongside the gift, I had ordered some wines for myself, and my family, for Christmas.
By December 5th, I had received only one notification from the store - so I used the WhatsApp number to reach out and see what was going on.
I received a very swift response and I was told that my wines were being packed right now and that they would be with me either the very next day or the day after.
That day and the following day, I waited home - no wine. Again, I reached out via WhatsApp - and there was no real reason given for this delay. I asked to have the delivery rescheduled to Monday as I had plans over the weekend and didn’t want my wine sitting outside. For context, it was now Friday 8th December.
Confirmation on Saturday that Monday was booked for delivery - Monday came and went, no wine.
At this point, I made it very clear that the wine was on a tight deadline, as I was leaving the country on Wednesday and I would very much like my gift box to leave with me.
My husband at this point offered to drive down to the shop to pick the bottles up but the offer was met with a promise to “overnight it” and the next day, still no wine. The day after a message came from a courier, and it seemed that perhaps there was hope. But, Wednesday came and went - and again… no wine.
Another number of broken promises, a suggestion of putting the wines in an Uber to me, and while I hope that everyone had the best of intentions ultimately - nothing was done. No Uber, no wine, no gift.
Throughout the whole two weeks, I was given a lot of false hope and there were a lot of broken promises. A refund, at my request, was processed but even that I had to chase ten days later - despite being told it would be done “effective immediately”
There was no ownership, no proactive attempts to solve the issue - at all. I have no idea why there they didn’t just accept my husband’s offer to pick the wine up instead of continuing to lead me on.
There was limited communication after I flagged the issue, and it was always driven by me, I started to chat to Dean ten days before I needed the wine, and two days after the “standard” delivery time. SO incredibly disappointed and so let down.
Very unhappy with the service
Very unhappy with the service, the delivery was made to the wrong address and I was not informed that the delivery had been made and would have been none the wiser if not for the kindness of the person who contacted me to let me know. Luckily the address is in the same city but will be in no rush to order again.
