The handles of my two small axes, formerly my late father’s, had snapped under the heads. Wanting to retain the excellent heads I combed the internet for suitable handles, preferring quality to cheapness.
3 things stood out with Woodsmith’s: North East UK; family-run business; reasonable price for what appeared to be a quality product.
Received the handles today and they look and feel good. In addition, very nicely packaged in a strong box.

Parcels arrived safely in Japan. I may have caused the shop some trouble with the parcels, and I am grateful for the shop staff's assistance.
All the items I purchased were excellent, but the Pole Lathe Crank Set in particular has greatly lowered the hurdle for me to build my own Pole Lathe. I look forward to using it once the snow has melted.

Very helpful. Sent me a great email to say that they would let me know as soon as the item was in stock - which they did. Even though I placed the order just a few days before Christmas it arrived the day before.

I can’t praise customer service especially Izzy, enough for ensuring safe delivery of my purchase for my husband .Izzy went above and beyond chasing up the failed delivery service for 3 days, with emails and phone calls until it arrived in time for Christmas .
