Completely unprofessional.
Ive been a member for almost a month now, and have yet to even see an entry level job. Apparently this is the "busiest time of the year" for them but cant give me one job to work on? Every job i see my rank is "too low to accept this job". I can't rank up my account to perform these jobs because there is no entry level jobs for me to complete. Not to mention, the pay is complete dirt. You could make more money per hour looking downtown for coins on the ground (seriously). Support will tell you to just keep waiting and keep looking because the jobs have limited entry on the amount of people able to apply for it. If this is the case, why even hire me. Dont waste your time on this site, as they seem to have 1000 transcriptionists, and about 5 pieces to transcribe per day, at about $0.50 per piece.

I took an audio test on April 9 2024 to translate. Never contacted me with results. What is the point of this site if you arent going to respond to those trying to find work.

Every day there're a handful of jobs paying cents (less than a dollar). Why would I waste my time doing anything for such a trivial amount? Oh, not to worry, because my "rank" isn't high enough anyway to benefit from these fantastic opportunities.

It doesn't even matter how experienced you are in transcribing if you are on this platform. In CastingWords, you will always start from scratch, and there are almost no available jobs for those who are new to the platform. Most jobs are only accessible to those who already have a high ranking. If you're not in the leaderboard, then don't expect to get projects anytime soon. The only good thing about this transcription site though is that it's easy to get through the application process.

Those who do good work, take time to ascend, while those who do bad work, stay on top as experienced transcribers. I'm an editor and have seen this to be true with my own eyes. Some management members even have dummy accounts to snatch jobs (editing jobs) directly to themselves, but making it appear there just for show and yet already taken it.
Check your top transcribers’ jobs. The story of the system noting a downgrade after review and taking off some points and vice versa for an upgrade after review, fix that. Leaving great transcribers bottom and maintain worst transcribers up, fix that too. That is favoritism.

This company is not worth a try. You get signed up, but you will almost never get any job as a beginner. For you to move upwards from the beginner level, you'll hqve to complete over 100 jobs rated 8s and 9s, their highest ratings. The sad part is you can refresh continuously for one month daily and don't even get 20 jobs. I mean, why sign up freelancers if you don't have jobs available. It could be much simpler saying you're not hiring like most successful freelance sites. I wouldn't even dare recommend this company to anyone. You will waste alot, I mean, alot of your time. AVOID this company

Ok and best work

When I first tried it, there were more than 600 jobs for the taking. Unfortunately though, not a single job, not a single one out of those 600 plus jobs, was available for a beginner to work on. It's definitely not somewhere to start your transcription career off. And it will be an absolute waste of time to even try and get those badges.
