ROGUE ROOFERS
In Hindsight & from Substantial Evidence.. Trading Standards/Police Informed.
They Preyed on a Vulnerable 79 years old man.
Cold Called onto His Property. Very convincing Company Van & Pickup Truck, Leaflets & Website with Local Reviews.
They claimed a few of his Roof Ridge Tiles needed Re-cementing & No Monies to be paid until work complete. This was Agreed @£250/Bank Transfer.
Once up on his Roof they worried him into thinking his Ridge Tiles were Breaking Up, so now needing a New Dry Ridge System @ same price (yet out of every Ridge Tile they removed, only 2 were Broken, basically because they were stood on at time). While fitting the New Dry Ridge (Wrong Ridge Tile Size & Not fitted properly), they started removing Tiles, claiming they were Cracked/Broken (by this time there was 4/5 men walking/sliding down roof & No Roof Ladders). Some Tiles Removed/Some left Cracked (yet Not Replaced, as they did not Source the Correct Tiles). Then they claimed the Roof had at least 2 Ton of Moss on it & required Dry Scraping/Soft Wash, then Spray Painting (they only Dry Scraped approx 20sqm, then started Extreme Power Washing on & off for 3 days, despite Multiple Concerns aired). Then Lead Work, Chimney Work, New Dry Verge System was needing done. Job escalated to £3000.(Everything they claimed needed done was started & Unnecessarily carried out & to a Very Poor Standard).
They came with No Roof Ladders, No Tarpaulins, Absolutely No Health & Safety, No Porta Loo (Urinated in Back Garden), Incorrect Tools, Incorrect Power Washer for a Roof, No Garden Hose (had to be lent one), No Liability Insurance, Offered No Quote/Contract (despite being requested, verbally, by text & email). Materials arriving each day (without any Discussion/Agreements).
They absolutely Rail Roaded this Vulnerable Man for 3+ days by Unbolting his Gates each day (Roofer was 6ft9" tall), Making Promises. Lying, Gas Lighting, Manipulating, Intimidating & then eventually Threatening.
After 3+ Days, they walked off his Property, due to being told by his Partner, whom had finally found the Courage to tell them to leave (as they had the Audacity to ask for £1500 Upfront for Materials & Wages to tide them over that weekend). She was then Intimidated/Threatened before they Packed Up & Left, shouting that the "Job was now Free", (Blaming her for Interfering/Not giving them a Chance to do their Job properly).
Guttering & Rones left Loose/Blocked/Still Pouring With Water For 2 Days), Moss/Silt Washed into/under Brand Newly Laid Granite Chips. Moss/Silt Sprayed over New & Old Dry Verges, Fascias, Gutters, Soffits, Walls, New Fencing, Sheds, Doors & Windows, also Next Doors New Fencing & Windows (Due to Extreme Power Washing). Shoddy work everywhere!
They then came Back 2 Days Later (apparently sent their Main Roofer home for few days), intimating they were Fixing & Completing the their Job, (still Demanding Monies Upfront). Intimating they would spend a Day Cleaning the Mess, Finishing the Roof Cleaning with Hand Scapers/Bucket of Water, then coming back when Roof was Dry to carry out the Spray Painting.
To get them Off the Property it was agreed that £1500 would be Paid by Bank Transfer (Due To Their Persistance & Further attempted Manipulation/Intimidation). Payment was made, a Very Long Email & Further Email was sent to them (Advising them they had been Paid & Not to Attempt Further Entry). They Still Attempted further Entry The Next Day!! Police/Trading Standards had to be contacted!!
THESE PEOPLE KNOW THEY ARE ALL ON GARDEN CCTV & MOBILE PHONE FOOTAGE.
A Professional Roofer was then called/asked to Quote for the Obvious Damages. £800 was Provisionally Quoted (this was very unexpected & traumatising). A text was then sent to this Vile Company, threatening to (Name & Shame them over the Media/Newspapers). They then reluctantly agreed to Refund £750 to Cover the Quote for the Obvious Repairs, along with Feeble Apologies.
Since their £750 Refund/Feeble Apology, they deleted their Initial Website (Fake Photos, Testimonies, Reviews, Telephone Numbers & Dundee Office Address). Then Re-Instated the Website with Different Fake Details, claiming to be Established in Sussex & Surrey Area. Then, again Changed their Fake Details, now Established in Dundee, Angus & Perth (ALL SCREENSHOTS TAKEN).
Today 6 December 2025. Further damage caused by this Company has been confirmed (whilst carrying out the Obvious Repairs). Now awaiting a Quote due to (Water Ingress caused by Misplaced Tiles, Existing Roofing Membrane Burst/Ripped in the Large Area of Unnecessary Lead Work) & Serious Concerns that All Roof Tiles have been left Porous to the Elements, due to Very Unnecessary Extreme Power Washing).
