Dolphin ornaments
Being advised that chrome plating might not be suitable and nickle plating would be a better option.The dolphin ornaments came back looking better than we were expecting and look great.Would recommend and use again if needed.

My Healey 3000 windscreen surround
My rechrome windscreen surround for my healey3000 arrived today and I'm truly impressed with the quality. As well as the speedy turnaround time and charged as per estimate.

The chrome work was top notch
The chrome work was top notch. The negative was that because I am based in the Republic of Ireland (EU) and the UK is outside the EU, I had to pay substantial import tax on the items when I received them. Even though I would really like to use the service in the future, the tax would put me off an I would need to find a supplier in E.g. the Netherlands.

We see a lot of automotive parts coming in from the Republic of Ireland due to the absence of electroplaters where you are, so we are always happy to help. The downfall, as you mentioned is the import tax, but I hope this doesn't put you off and we can help you again in the future.

Triumph stag chrome
I had some parts rechromed for my Triumph Stag.
It took a little longer than expected due to a premises move but the end result was excellent. I will be using them again soon.

AWFUL
Ashford Chroming did £4000 worth of chrome plating for me back in mid 2018. Back then it was the SAME website but under "Ashford Chroming Ltd" not the current "Ashford Chroming Services Ltd" - weird that isn't it ? The quality was horrendous (in fact £1000 of my order wasn't even touched but they charged me anyway).
I immediately asked for a refund realising it was pointless asking them to repeat the exercise. They refused so I took them to the small claims court and won.
They had a CCJ entered against them but refused to honour it (or even reply) and instead tried to get out of it by applying to strike off the "Ashford Chroming Ltd" name from Companies House. The Ashford Chroming website has now been renamed (bottom of home page) as Ashford Chroming "Services" Ltd to tidy up the loose ends.
Their performance however in the money taking, "I'm very sorry but it's nothing to do with me" and CCJ avoiding departments was absolutely first rate.
Next change in company name "Ashford Chroming Services & Facilities Ltd" ? Better still, don't repeat my experience. Go to a reputable company.

Misleading and Poor Quality
Ashford Chroming Services give the impression that they operate in Ireland - they don't! They say they offer chrome plating and chrome restoration services 'locally' in Ireland, but they don't! They say you are welcome to stop by and see them and even bring your parts along - but you would have to go to England to do this and it is to England that your parts would have to be shipped. Unless of course you want to take a trip to England and bring the parts with you. I have had poor standard work done by this company - in England not Ireland. They are very plausible and misleading. Beware the wolf in sheep's clothing!

Quotation doubled
Friendly enough firm and communication was good. However I submitted photos and an accurate description for a quote and was quoted £200 + VAT. When I sent the parts the quote doubled to £400 + VAT! which I declined. To be fair, they did return the items quickly and at their own expense but I had already wasted money on postage and time. I realise there might be some adjustment of quotation but 100% is not acceptable in my view. Sent exactly the same description and photos to a firm in Oldham on the basis of which they quoted £300 plus Vat. They did it at this price and an excellent job. Total saving £120
