Poor customer service
If you have a problem don't expect any help from these guys. Charged import duties twice due to their error in filling out customs form. Had to go direct to customs and exise to claim my money back. Avoid!
SLOW delivery
SLOW delivery. Ordered intellivision sprint 12/29, 8 dollar shipping charge. Finally received 1/9. However did receive updates from both fedex and atari as delivery got close, which was appreciated.

What didn't go wrong? All I hear back is "we are sorry", "your feedback is valuable", and "we are taking this seriously for the future." You don't have a future. You need solutions in the present. Words don't do anything for upset and cheated customers. We speak money. I suggest starting with refund = the shipping cost. It was late for release anyway, as well as poorly packaged/protected for shipping. This company is done. You're done.
I ordered the MKKE
I ordered the MKKE. It was supposed to be released on 12/12/25. It was shipped on 12/16/25. However, only the game was shipped; the contents of the Collector’s Edition will not be shipped until May. That means I now have to pay customs duties and the handling fee twice. This is an absolute disgrace. It’s basically fraud. It’s just difficult to sue Atari from Germany. This was the last time I bought a product from Atari, and I hereby warn everyone against buying anything from Atari. One of the worst companies on this planet. Shame on you, Atari.

If I could choose 0 stars I would. This has turned into the worst Father’s Day gift nightmare. I paid extra for no hassle returns. When the product doesn’t work they wouldn’t let me return and receive a refund of money. The only option was to receive another faulty product. Instead of being escalated, they handle customer service through an Ai app. No real people. No phone number.
Nothing gets done nor resolved. I’ve tried 10 different options to return on their website. It wasn’t a browser glitch. They intentionally are unethical. They don’t care once they have your money.
Disappointing Experience with a Non-Genuine Atari Product. IT IS NOT AN ATARI PRODUCT. IT IS CHINESE JUNK. IT IS A SCAM.
After purchasing a "ATARI NEON SIGN" from the official Atari website, I encountered multiple issues. It took over a month for my order to arrive without any tracking details provided. To my surprise, the product arrived in an unbranded box from China, lacking any signs of authenticity you would expect from Atari, especially compared to their recent new consoles.
The item received was of significantly low quality and did not resemble genuine Atari merchandise. It arrived without a charger, and the Atari logo was both loose and flawed.
Efforts to return the product and contact customer support for a refund have been futile. I have attempted to reach out through various communication channels including the website's contact form, customer support email, and Discord, without receiving any response.
Everything seems like a scam. The company that handles customer service seems to be just a scheme to sell low-quality Chinese products at premium prices.
Additionally, a comment I posted about these issues on the Atari official site was deleted, further indicating a lack of transparency and customer care.

I bought one of each version of the CX-78+ direct from Atari.com in November 2024. The wired unit came quickly, but the wireless unit was a pre-order that took a month to arrive.
I couldn't be happier with both units though I think they should have tested their new 2600 compatible wireless controllers with the older systems, it makes some noises on the "Light Sixer" and the dongles don't fit Heavy Sixer 1977-1978 units due to not enough lead in. Thankfully both are livable and have workarounds.
I don't think I ever got the point of the VCS (the new one, not the 1977-1992 original). Seems that's where most of their problems stem from reading other reviews.
Not sure if they are affected by the California wildfires either. That could be a part of the ordering issues.

DO NOT ORDER FROM ATARI.COM DIRECT!! Pre-ordered a limited edition game over a year ago, after waiting and waiting I got a message from atari saying it was delivered on December 19th but I received nothing that day. After talking to my postal carrier and confirming he never had a package for me I have tried to contact atari multiple times and have received no response at all in over a month.... Except a request to give a good rating for their handling of the situation... WHAT!?!
Terrible RMA experience. Atari.com has gone silent.
I have to issue this warning not to deal with atari.com directly. If you have a problem the experience is very bad. They were working with me, but then after I returned my part I have no replacement or refund after one month and they no longer answer my e-mails! If you want to buy an Atari product, do yourself a favor - buy through Amazon or Walmart. Then you will at least be able to get a refund if needed.
Full details below:
Nov 25th my order arrived which included two wired 7800 gamepad controllers. One controller was missing a part, the screw-in thumbstick.
I contacted Atari support through their support e-mail that day. I asked them to send the missing part, but instead they issued an RMA and dictated that I return the whole controller.
I shipped the part with the provided label and also with my RMA # both on the box and on a paper inside the box.
Atari had said once they receive the part to allow ten days for processing and they would provide tracking for the replacement.
Tracking on the controller I sent showed it was delivered to Atari December 9th.
By December 20th I had not heard anything, so I sent an e-mail. I got no reply from Atari.
By January 1st I was more concerned so I sent another e-mail. I still got no reply from Atari.
On Jan 6th I made a third attempt through the online "contact us" link on the atari.com website, but sadly I still have no response.
Now it is one full month since they got my part and have gone silent. I have basically lost the money I spent for that controller. So I feel compelled to warn others!

Legacy destroyed with horrible product and service

What was once a name that indicated quality and customer service is now an online scam preying on memories of our youth wishful thinking that the product sold lived up to its predecessors legacy. I would warn every prospective buyer to avoid Atari and stick with Sony or Xbox...this is a waste of time and money.

I'm inquiring today, because I recently purchased a wig off of the Atari official store website and I never received my order. However, the funds were deducted from my account. I've had so many problems receiving my refund. I am very disappointed in their customer service and I am deeply dissatisfied with the way they have responded to many of my inquiries and have yet to receive my money or product
