I recently bought a home through Balgores Romford and had an exceptional experience. Oskar was fantastic — always patient, clear, and honest, even answering questions outside office hours. He made a stressful process smooth and reassuring.

The whole team works seamlessly together, and their support continued even after completion. I highly recommend Balgores — a truly professional and client-focused team.

I had just entered the country and was looking for a place to move in as quickly as possible. When I contacted balgores to schedule a viewing, the agent Michael was quite rude, judgemental and pompous and told me how he wanted to check first if I might be able to afford the property in the first place prior to scheduling a viewing or it would just be a waste of time for all of us. Once we viewed the flat, Michael told me how he should be able to get me in as quickly as possible. Once I paid the deposit, he called me and told me that the move in date would not be till the end of the week. It seemed convenient how he mentioned it only after I paid the deposit. I was under considerable duress but I tried to adjust anyways and trusted him. He ignored my calls multiple times and the times he picked up he was rude and unpleasant to speak to and hardly listened to what i had to say and also made judgementsand also snapped back at me. At last , 2 weeks later a day prior to the move in date, he called me to let me know that the move in would be further delayed as there was an issue with a safety certificate and he couldn't even commit to a date when the issue would be resolved. Eventually I had to ask for them to return all the money I had paid close to 3800 quids. Although I received my money back, the discomfort and mental hassle I had during the period was devastating to say the least. Extremely unprofessional behaviors.

We have worked with our agent in the lettings group for a number of years and have been very happy with the level of service we have received. All questions have been responded to promptly in a friendly and professional manner. Furthermore they were very helpful at the end of the contract when the property transferred ownership ensuring everything went smoothly. Thank you.

Negative Estate agent made us feel depleted and stressed after he left. Told us we would be lucky to sell the property. Got another agent who priced us 40k more! and was completely positive in the sale. Obviously working for quick sale and commission. avoid

I changed to Balgores from another mainstream estate agent who were beyond useless. Chris and his team at Upminster Balgores were wonderful. Great communication, attentive, very friendly and so helpful. Abbie and Neo especially were outstanding. I couldn't have got through the sale of my property, which had its fair share of drama, without them. Chris really did save my sale and I will be forever grateful. Can't recommend them enough. Balgores was the agent we used to buy the property. In the final stages of the exchange Billy and Paul both worked hard to get this over the line, especially as the deal ran into some difficulties with our buyer. Our estate agent was great, very organised and prompt responses to emails, helpful during the buying process and good communication. Would definitely use them again in the future.

Prior to the viewing they asked inappropriately detailed questions about finances as if you're trying to buy Buckingham Palace. On arrival the owner wasn't in and was never informed of the viewing. Balgores response: Ah well, bad luck. We don't even bother look at their property listings anymore, to us they're obvious scammers.

Outstanding service from start to finish (nearly)!

I first used Balgores (Basildon) back in 2018 when purchasing my property, and they were absolutely fantastic. So, when it came time to sell recently, there was no hesitation — I went straight back to them.

Within just a week of listing, my house was sold! Unfortunately, my initial buyer had to pull out due to issues in their own chain (completely out of Balgores’ control), but Joe and his team were incredible. They immediately arranged new viewings, and within six days of going back on the market, I had four or five offers — and accepted one!

Over the past few months, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Georgia Yexley, my sales progressor. She has been nothing short of amazing — professional, patient, and relentless in pushing the sale forward. It’s been a long and sometimes stressful process (again, no fault of Balgores), but Georgia has been there every step of the way, offering advice, reassurance, and a lot of hard work behind the scenes. Even when I’ve been frustrated, she’s handled everything with kindness and understanding.

With completion now just days away, I can honestly say the team at Balgores Basildon have been outstanding throughout. I can’t thank them enough — especially Georgia — for their dedication and support.

I’ll definitely be back with another glowing update once everything is complete, but for now, I can highly recommend Balgores (Basildon) to anyone looking to buy or sell. A truly first-class experience!

He has worked extremely hard to assist us with two properties whilst we were experiencing some personal family issues and he completely took the stress away from us. I contacted them, they know absolutely nothing about the property being sold, i.e., how can I not know about leasehold, council tax, they say they will call back, but they never call back

We decided to sell our house, so I arranged for half a dozen estate agents to come round and give me a valuation.
After listening to most of their sales pitches and a fair bit of nonsense, I started to worry — am I even going to find the right estate agent? 🤯

Out of desperation, I rang Balgores — not one of the big-name agencies, but I thought I’d give them a try.

Femi, the branch manager, turned up. He didn’t give a sales pitch or waffle. The only thing he said was, “I want this property on my books — and I will sell it.”

We agreed on a commission rate we were both happy with, and within a week, we had over 30 viewings and an agreed offer.

We’ve now officially sold the property — and we also used Balgores’ recommended solicitors, PCS, who were excellent.

I had so many conversations with her over the phone. She was on top of everything.

When we received emails from the solicitor filled with jargon, Louise would call us and explain everything in plain English. She made a very stressful process feel manageable — and even human.

I truly hope that everyone going through a sale or purchase has a Louise to guide them through it.

No one asked me to write this review. I’m doing it because it’s well deserved.
I also hope the owners and senior managers of Balgores read this — because it’s people like Louise who make your company what it is.

I sincerely hope you show your appreciation with a Pay rise or at best a bonus.
Sometimes, we don’t realise how valuable someone is… until it’s too late.

I am a real seller - Selling my house through Balgores! Nice people - miss leading sale pitch on the buy in protection agreement! If buyer wants to make bids and pull out, they can, and you get nothing - so you think your selling, paying fees and they can pull out without consequences . Thats my experience . Obviously the fault of the false bidder!i The 5k sales protection is a miss sell (in my opinion only ) they make a big thing - First sale fell through. I don’t know if it’s just Balgores Chelmsford that’s miss selling but it’s not the protection I thought we were paying for. Still, nice people at balgores - pointless agreement if the buy’er can pull out weeks later. (Wasting time and money)

Balgores agent grossly underpriced my property. Simply looking for a quick sale and thus quick commission. Took me for a fool. Will put property with another estate agent, who priced it accurately.

They work and act in the benefit of landlords.

Recommendation:
Focus on tenants and service.
Not to be biased
Listen, communicate and fix legitimate issue

BEWARE NOT OT USE THIS AGENT (Hornchurch)

The services which I have obtained for agent is absolutely diabolic and a disgrace. My family has made an offer for a property 5 months ago and they have recommended solicitors and a broker which we agreed to use (from high recommendation from the agent). However, as soon you sign the Gazeal agreement. He was made to pay £1080 for the agreement and further £500 fees on other documents. While sales progress is ongoing, NO and absolutely NO support was given and the agent BLOCK YOUR NUMBER to stop you from making contacts with the agent. The sales agent would not even answer your call and they will make minimum contact.
BEWARE TO AVOID Balgeores and use alternative agent such as Bristow eve or Haart or any other local estate agents.
If you want to buy property over 2 years of process then use them with no support and additional fees which they ask you to pay that no other agent would ask.
I am sure they use fake reviews on their news letters to improve their profile.
