Bella has now been on several holidays with Barking Mad hosts. All have been absolutely lovely and made a real fuss of Bella and ensured she has stayed in her (slightly pampered) routine. It's lovely to receive regular photos and updates, plus a postcard at the end of the holiday letting us know about their fun times together. Caroline and Barbara genuinely care about their doggie clients (& their humans). We can't recommend them enough!

The company made a huge in-depth effort to understand our requirements and needs of our pet in advance of a stay. This included getting to know our pet’s daily routines, his preferences, diet, mannerisms and personality. We were provided an equally researched breakdown of likely hosts. They then armed with this knowledge were able to match our pet with their suitable host. We were given daily updates and a special postcard from the host. We felt our pet was in safe hands and if any problems arose the company was always on hand to sort out any problems. We had peace of mind that our pet was safe, happy and well cared for.

Excellent communication

I have complete trust in Barking Mad and Steph and Malcolm the hosts who look after our dog Buster. Buster has stayed with Steph and Malcom many times and thought that time he has had to have various medications as he is an older dog and from time to time he needs a bit more attention, nothing is too much trouble regards any occasional extra needs, the love and care Buster receives is fantastic and we would recommend to everyone 100% to entrust your dog/dogs to Barking mad and the hosts in our case particularly Steph and Malcolm who look after Buster absolutely brilliantly.

Yet again fabulous service received from Louise at Barking Mad, Market Harborough. Our dog, Monty, who is now 16 years old, partially deaf, blind in one eye and needs regular medication was recently placed with a lovely host Linda, who looked after him so well and we arrived home to a happy, relaxed dog with no signs of stress. Louise and Linda provided regular photos and messages which was so reassuring. Highly recommend this service; we would not leave Monty with anyone else but Louise, she always goes above and beyond. Thank you Louise 🐶

Diane - Barking Mad Dog Care (Southampton) was a godsend. 2 weeks homesitting service to look after our cat. Professional, courteous and went the extra mile when needed. Regular communication and photos whilst we were away were really appreciated. Could not have asked for more. Cannot recommend enough 😃

Buddy loves going to stay with Martin and Samuel. I always feel at ease when he’s there, he’s so loved and well looked after. He has so much fun and brings a postcard home to tell me all about it.

Barking Mad are brilliant! They arranged for my dog Hazel to stay with a family while I was away for a few days. They took great care thinking about my dog's needs and habits while choosing the family to look after her. While I was away, I received pics of my happy dog taken on walks and relaxing at home. So, both of us, my dog and I, had a lovely mini break. I have already booked Barking Mad to arrange a stay for my dog when I am going away for a longer period of time in the summer. I recommend them without any reservation.

I have confidence in Barking Mad to look after my dog as if she were at home. That’s why I have used it for many years.

We explained at the initial meeting with Andy that our dog could be reactive to other dogs due to him being a rescue. We were advised that this wouldn't be an issue. However, when we tried to book sitters, it seemed that there was only one on their books that were able to look after our dog. This meant that there was limited flexibility in booking holidays etc. As a result we had to fit around the sitters availability which meant we had to delay our holiday until the middle of October. During the stay, there was an incident with another dog due to the sitter losing control of our dog. At the time this was dealt with by Barking Mad and their feedback at that time was that the sitters loved having our dog and would happily have him again. At no point were we advised that the incident would cause an issue in the future. However, when we tried to book sitters again our messages were ignored, although they had been received/read and we then had to use a different dog sitting site. When we contacted Barking Mad again via email we received a one line response informing us that they would not be able to take our dog for any future sittings due to the incident in October with no further explanations. Whilst we understand the potential reasons for this, we are extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and extremely poor customer service. We are now using a different dog sitting site!

First time using Barking Mad for our old boy. Bit nervous about him staying with someone other than family. Mind was put to rest when we got updates and pics of him settled and enjoying his time with his host. Cannot recommend Barking Mad enough also a huge thankyou to Tracy for her friendly approach and professionalism throughout every stage of the process.

Claire took a lot of trouble to find out about me and my dog, so the hosts were well chosen and looked after him well. He came home happy.

The peace of mind knowing my boys were care for was priceless. Getting picture updates was perfect to see that they were happy and comfortable. 100% recommend.

Our dog was really well looked after by a lovely family, while we had a ten-day holiday in February. It was really reassuring to receive regular photographs of her out for walks, playing with her ball or just relaxing on the sofa. A real home from home. Claire is super-organised and the whole process works very well.
