Overall a good partnership and great team behind boardsi. The team, particularly Jen Swaby, are easy to access and share thoughts with. The overall platform is very easy to use and always updated.

this is just the beginning of the process for me. however, I have found the Boardsi staff to be intelligent and very good at organizing the materials required to put my profile up on the website. Jennifer is the first person at Boardsi in more than a year who has made a serious effort to find a board placement for me. So far, only one company has expressed an interest and I have an interview coming up. However, the other companies she has suggested to me at least seem more relevant to my expertise, compared to others that have been suggested to me. So I appreciate her efforts.

I can’t give it 5 stars u til I see some results

Lisa and the Boardsi team provided an excellent bio write up quickly.

I have had a number of calls with various staff at Boardsi - each one has been professional and very thorough.

My bio that was written by boardsi after numerous phone calls to get to know me is extremely well written.

Quality work done quickly and effectively.

I was approached for an interview. No name, no company, absolutely no information upfront. Was asked for a phone call of 15 minutes. Got 20 reminders and when the time was there nobody called. Very unprofessional for a company promising roles at board level.

I used Boardsi for approximately 13 months and spent around $780 during that time. Unfortunately, the return on investment and overall progress were extremely disappointing.

Over the entire engagement, only three opportunities advanced to a next step. One turned out to be a scam company, one was not actually seeking board members but rather consultants to join their network, and the third—a nonprofit—failed to respond to multiple attempts to schedule a meeting and later claimed they “decided to go in a different direction, despite the lack of communication on their end.

After more than a year, only one opportunity could even be considered potentially legitimate. That level of outcome does not justify the time, cost, or expectations set by the service. Communication slowed significantly over time, with long gaps between updates, and there was no clear adjustment in strategy despite the lack of results.

At this point, the service feels less like a strategic board-placement solution and more like a recurring expense with little accountability for outcomes. Unless there are major changes to how opportunities are vetted, matched, and followed up on, I cannot recommend Boardsi to professionals seeking serious board or advisory roles.
