With the premium price I paid, I was left very disappointed. Then for 3 years after, I was going to other SMP providers looking to get it fixed, most wouldn't touch it. One guy eventually did and sorted it to my satisfaction. He is called Laurentiu as Scalp Mates in Birmingham.

The only responsibility I take is I asked for a higher hairline than what the SMP artist Damon usually gave out. However when he drew on the hairline, I immediately said that it wasn't straight. He said that it was just because the shape of my head, which was nonsense. But, as I was feeling nervous about it all, I went with his thinking.

Then a couple of months after it had all settled down, I could see it was wonky. I messaged Damon on whatsapp, which is what he told me to do instead of going through to the main number. However, the whatsapp message was delivered but never looked at. On my google review they say it was because he had a new phone, which, I don't believe. He just knew I had my own preferences and didn't want to deal with me again. See, he did initially offer a further follow, free of charge if needed. But once I was out of sight then he must have changed his mind on that.

With travel and days off work, it could me around £1200 to get the SMP finally fixed. This was after paying the initial £2250 to Brandwood. I did reach out to Brandwood a little after Damon ignoring me, but they said after I had visited other SMP artist, any further treatment is now compromised. One SMP artist told me that the fading to the real hair was really bad, so that needed to be re-done, which he did. Then it was Laurentiu at Scalp Mates who fixed the hairline. Which was January this year.

3 years of my life put on hold. Bad work!

Friendly an professional service. Really happy with the results, great banter with Simon. Also gave me excellent advice for maintaining the look going forwards.
Will definately be back!

Really happy with Simon work and give me to look i wanted, the guys at Brandwood were fantastic and would recommend anybody with hair loss to use these

Can't thank Simon enough ,before treatment I was slightly worried naturally as it's a big step.
On arrival I got a great welcome and was made to feel at ease ,by Wayne and Simon .
It's a process and each stage gets better so have confidence in the process and Simon I learnt this going through.

I've been back to Brandwood for a touch up session today and honestly couldn't fault the service from the moment I enquired about availability last week to attending the clinic today. Simon was friendly, professional and went the extra mile to make sure the finished result looked great, I certainly got a longer session than I was expecting along with some great conversation that made the time fly by. I'd highly recommend using Brandwood if you are considering SMP.

Absolutely awful. Practitioner. After having a failed FUT hair transplant years ago. Left me with a big scar at the back of my head.

I reached out to Simon Lane and Brandwood clinic who miss sold me into thinking there practices, values, and workmanship was unmatched and they were the best in the business.

Jesus christ. That was far from the truth.

Had 4 SMP sessions in camouflaging the scar. Albeit it I knew that it was never going to be completely unnoticeable, however would at least get coverage.

After the 4 sessions Simon Lane put that much ink in the back of my head, it ended up looking like a messy black / blues plob and amplified the scar.

I tried to persevere for month in the attempt it will fade over a period of time to which it never.

I contacted brandwood asking for a full refund. I got back lie after lie after lie.

Firstly Simon Lane said the company was folding and he was taking over and didn't have any money ( at first I felt sorry for him)

Then found out afew weeks later that it was a lie after going on the government website. It was still under the same ownership.

So I reached out yet again a demanded my money back

Simon and Wayne finally said they would reimburse me and told me I only paid £850 in total.

However I was unsure and had to go back into my bank transactions and turned out I was £1350. Yet again another lie.

In the end I managed to receive a full refunded after lies and putting up with BS.

The work carried out was that bad I had to pay £400 for lazer treatment. To which they refused to finance after there abomination sessions.

There was no customer care, sorry, no empathy, absolutely nothing.

I would have got a better job done seeing the local heroin junkie to it.

Simon is no pioneer whatsoever.

Absolute joke and a cluster artist.

PLEASE DONT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS CLINIC.

I don't normally leave reviews but i feel like i have to for brandwood clinic and simon !!

Simon makes you feel comfortable from the first second you have your consultation with him and upfront and honest with you.

It becomes obvious as soon as you speak with simon that he is someone who knows his craft and his highly skilled, I can confirm after my 4th session with him that he is just that !!!!

I have nothing but positives about my whole experience with brandwood clinic ..... other then simon supports liverpool.

After the second session I was blown away by how much of a difference the SMP procedure has made to my look and confidence!
My friends think that I have had a hair transplant and that its healed extremely quickly 🤣

Had treatment 2 years ago for SMP scar camouflage with Simon Lane and just been back for touch up & review.
Cannot rate these guys high enough and has gave me so much more confidence and it has made such a difference in my life. Would highly recommend to get in touch if you have any concerns with hair loss.

Had smp treatment a few months ago and was blown away by how good it is Simon is very professional and a true artist and gentleman.
Had a top up today and he took great care in making it look perfect.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
Like everyone else here, I was delighted when I first had SMP treatment by Simon. I booked thinking these guys are the best and nothing can go wrong.
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. After 6 months the treatment started fading and after 12 months my head looked like I’d been stabbed with a fork. Huge impressions, along with the pigment changing colour to a deep blue. There are also patches everywhere, especially the crown area. It’s now 18 months on and it looks worse by the day
After contacting Brandwood, they agreed to “fix it” out of goodwill but won’t admit it was done incorrectly from the start. They even had the audacity to blame the colour of my skin and immune system. Excuse after excuse.
To be clear, impressions this large cannot be repaired or hidden as they are too deep in the skin. I am now having to get laser treatment to completely remove it as nobody wants to touch it in it's current state.
Do yourselves a favour and do your research, there are other practitioners in Birmingham who are far more talented and create natural hairlines which don’t fade.

The brand wood clinic was an amazing experience for me, since I was 23 years old I was very embarrassed going through balding at such an early age. I had a bad experience and another SMP clinic. I was a bit worried about going through it again. But when I had my consultation Simon, he reassured me and was very welcoming at the clinic. It can be a hard conversation to talk about but this clinic made it so easy. The procedure is painless, I haven’t looked back since, Brandwood clinic has changed my life for the better. I can’t pick out what has been great because I’d be here writing for hours. I will say this …. If you want a solution for balding SMP at the brandwood clinic is the best choice you can make. I feel so confident in myself because of this team.

Simon put me at ease and made my experience at Brandwood really positive. My smp looks great and I am delighted with the results.

I have my confidence back. I used to hate what I saw in the mirror-especially the hairdressers where all I could see under the lights was my scalp shining back at me.
I was reassured in my first phone call with Simon that they could help and booked in straight away with Agata. She is FAB. She is so friendly and boy does she know her stuff. She built up the colour, checking all the time that I was happy.
I cant recommend this highly enough if you're not quite sure yet. It's money SO well spent-I've saved a fortune on hair products to try to hide my thin hair. It's still thin and fine don't get me wrong, but the darker colour of my scalp makes it look so much thicker.

I am absolutely delighted with my SMP and can reassure anyone reading this that Danny is a very experienced, passionate SMP practitioner and a genuine people's person who has had SMP done himself and will give you the results you're after without any shadow of a doubt. On top of that he is one of the coolest and easy going Mancs you will ever meet.

Had my SMP treatment done by Danny and I couldn’t be more pleased with the end result. He always puts in 100% effort and is highly skilled at what he does. I spent a lot of time researching before going ahead with it and Danny and Brandwood were the clear first choice

Danny is brilliant and has a very artist eye. Genuinely cares about the quality of his work and a great guy all round. Highly recommended!
