Breakout Chester Reviews 9

Did the vault and it was very disappointing. Just a load of combination locks. The guy who was meant to be helping us never helped at all. I think he was out side for 40 minutes having a cig. He said for us to ask for help but didn’t respond. £80 could have been spent elsewhere. He came into the room and said “have you got the number off the money” which we had 15 minutes before, asked for help, nothing. We did manage to get into the other room..to be greeted by another 50 combination locks. That’s it..just locks.somebody which were on upside down and you could turn them. Some of which were that small you couldn’t see the numbers. To be told “it’s not my job to get you out” was just rude. We knew that, but it is the staffs job to help.

We did the Wanted escape room and it was so much fun! Quite challenging but we managed to break out in good time. Our host, Harry, did a great job.

Went as part of a Hen-Do and due to many different people travelling into Chester, we were slightly late but the staff were so understanding! We had a great time with 3 groups attempting to escape 3 different rooms and 2/3 managing to escape! Would 100% recommend and would love to go back and try more of the different themed escape rooms!

So disappointed. Told the host we have done a few escape rooms and usually don’t get out. Well today maybe your lucky day she said I will give you five minutes to look around first before I give you any clues . I did ask you will give me them when I ask though won’t you. Yes she replied , we had a mooch round opened one cupboard but desperately needed a clue. I repeatedly shouted her for a clue but nothing came back. After 20 minutes I give up and had to go out of the room to try and find the staff room. Had to knock on this door to ask tell the occupant to tell our host to acknowledge our shouts for help. 20 minutes plus lost at this point, needless to say we didn’t get out ( we did almost). Think we would have had we been acknowledged in the first place. We paid £57 for 3 of us expensive one hour for us . The manager did offer us 50% off our next game and explained that the host did also have other things to do and she felt that if she gave us a clue we would would get out too quickly Bit of an insult really when we had been shouting out for 20 minutes and having to leave the room to get a response not sure we would go to that one again never been abandoned for so long before

We have been to breakout a few times now, we have broken out & been trapped forever! Lucy lead our game this evening and was fantastic! We broke out with 14 minutes to spare. Lucy also informed us of Christmas rooms that are coming soon and we can’t wait to try those! Breakout is a great experience with different levels to suit most abilities.

First breakout room I’ve done and it was awesome. Rosie was absolutely brilliant and made the experience so much fun! I would definitely recommend doing this and if you’re going ask for Rosie, she does a great job 10/10

Neither of us have done an escape room before. But we'll definitely do more!

We played the 'Wanted' room. To begin with, the host was amazing. She was polite and friendly and very helpful explaining how the game works, the health and safety points etc.

In addition, we found that the room itself was very well designed. It felt authentic and a good atmosphere was created by the theme as well as the story behind it.

There are many escape room companies to choose from, but based on our host, the game play experience, and the effort that seems to have gone into the venue, I would recommend this company :)
