Burke & Wills provide a good service at a reasonable price.

A MUST for a stress-free move
Just following up on my original review (16th Feb) to say Burke & Wills have now completed our re-delivery, and it was totally amazing!
The team are so friendly and take such enormous care over the booking, pre-move process, then onto the move itself, it's just seamless from start to finish.

The guys were in and out within 2 hours, and when the lift broke, it was no problem... they rolled up their sleeves and got the job done, even though we were on the 5th floor!

We were quickly prompted to book a box collection, which was so lovely to help clear the decks post-move.

Huge thanks to Laura and Sofia who have also arranged a swift refund for a couple of damaged items.

I cannot imagine how different our move process would have been without Burke & Wills. Just incredible from start to finish. Thank you and I will be recommending you to EVERYONE!

Excellent service from Burke & Wills. The team was highly professional, with outstanding customer service throughout my move from my London apartment. Communication was excellent — all the ladies I dealt with were extremely polite, friendly, and always willing to help, responding promptly to every question or request. Fair pricing and a truly smooth experience. I highly recommend them without hesitation.

B&W performed a minor miracle in moving us to our new home during a highly stressful and unpredictable house sale in October 2025. Mark Pusey and his team showed remarkable flexibility and efficiency--way beyond what we could have reasonably expected, managing to get the job completed on schedule against substantial odds. Subsequent experience of the B&W storage facility in Chessington has proved equally positive, with Sofia Sworder Oliveira and colleagues at Battersea HQ managing access and invoicing for a very reasonably priced container (emptied 5/2/26) in prompt and very friendly fashion. I don't usually leave reviews but this company deserves a good write-up.

Following a recommendation, we contacted Burke & Wills to help us move house from North London to South London. Mark scheduled a video call to conduct a survey of our home and work out how many people and what size vehicles would be needed for the job. He then provided a written quote for a full packing service, removal and transport to new home and unloading of goods to the required rooms. After getting several quotes with similar prices, we opted for Burke & Wills. Mark, Amy and Billie-Jane in the office answered any questions we had and were friendly and professional both over the phone and via email.

The packing and removal service was planned over 3 days. The crews, led by foreman Ricky, turned up on time each day. They listened to any requests we had and they also asked us questions as they packed. They packed boxes well and labelled them clearly, disassembled bulky furniture items, and also had no issue packing up the contents of our loft, shed, garden and greenhouse (which some companies said they would not do). Vehicles that were loaded on days 1 and 2 were stored in their secure lock-up, and all three vehicles arrived at our new house on day 3. The team unloaded all boxes quickly, delivered them to the rooms we requested, and reassembled furniture.

In total we had one lorry and two Luton vans worth of belongings to transport. During the process (most likely transit), three pieces of furniture did sustain minor damage (two had a small scratches and one had a small scuff). We contacted the office to inform them of this damage; they apologised and agreed to provide some compensation, despite us not having opted for any specific insurance for the move, which we really appreciated. It is worth mentioning that A LOT of fragile, home-made pottery was packed very securely, with no breakages at all!

After we unpacked most of our belongings over the next few weeks, we called the office to organise a free collection of the empty, collapsed boxes and packing paper, which they fulfilled the day after.

In summary, Burke & Wills took a lot of stress out of our house move. The office staff and crew were lovely people, incredibly helpful and good at their jobs. We would definitely use them again - although we hopefully won’t be moving for a very long time!

Burke & Wills Removals moved my furniture into storage following a flood at my home, and back out once the repair work was completed, a year later.

On both occasions the move was carried out efficiently and with care. My furniture was well protected and no damage was sustained.

The operatives who carried out the move were helpful, cheerful, polite and considerate. The office staff were equally courteous and efficient, and extremely helpful in accommodating my return removal date at very short notice.

I can well recommend Burke & Wills.

I’ve used Burke and Wills for pretty much every house move for > 15 years. They are totally reliable, friendly and professional. My latest move was done by Daniel and the crew who did a great job. The arrangements in the office were done by Billie-Jane who was very responsive and helpful in working out the best way to do things. 10/10.

I booked a 'man and van' for 2 hours or so, These were a fantastic couple of chaps who helped move some heavy furniture items from my house to a commercial store I have nearby. Not only heavy and bulky, but fragile as very antique. I have found that a whole series of small moves, rather than one huge removal makes it so much easier to get things in the right lace, and without the trauma of having load of boxes getting in the way of everything. Might me more expensive, but what price sanity?

From our very first contact with Billie-Jane, we knew we were in good hands. She was incredibly kind, informative and reassuring, and explained the whole process clearly from the outset, which made a potentially stressful move feel far more manageable.

The service was very reasonably priced, particularly given that we were moving from London to Glasgow, which is no small undertaking. On moving day in London, Nick, Pablo, and Josh packed up our flat expertly and with great care. They were efficient, organised and clearly very experienced, but also genuinely good fun to have around, which made a long and emotional day much lighter.

When we arrived in Glasgow, Nick and Pablo unpacked our flat and the experience was exactly the same. They were careful, professional and thoughtful throughout, and just great guys to deal with.

We honestly could not have been happier with every part of the service, from beginning to end. We would highly recommend them to anyone moving across the city or cross-country. Thank you so much to the whole team, we really appreciate everything you did for us!

We used Burke and Wills to move us from East London to Manchester, this time with an added 2 year old, which went absolutely superbly.

From the booking and arranging of the move, to the punctuality, speed and kindness of Karel and his team, and their brilliant attention to detail, everything was a dream and made moving so far as stress free a process as possible. Would highly recommend and would use again in a heartbeat!

I am proud to say I chose this firm well and was completely satisfied. Even in difficult situations they reassured me that the issue would be dealt with! And they did offer the complete package … I just sat back and let it all happen. Billie-Jane was my contact in the office and was kind, understanding and supportive. Many a time she calmed me and reassured me! I am glad I had her at my side. The packing team, Karol, Connor and Luke worked away quietly and efficiently. The guys from Burke and Wills came on time, were polite and professional, and worked hard all day. They packed our things into their van very carefully and nothing was broken or damaged in transit.
