I was so excited to use my new calpak suitcase (pink). I had purchased it from Nordstrom off rack. First time used on trip to Paris. Came off the baggage with a broken handle on the trolley. Now I know airlines are rough, however, the handle is lightweight plastic that was connected to a thin rod in the trolley handle. Easy snap. Broken. Was moving through Paris and Brugge. Had to combine luggage with my travel companion and leave suitcase at hotel. Not a good look for calpak.

I purchased 2 laptop bags from their website after searching online and hearing about their great quality - my intention was to see which I preferred IRL and return the other one.

When I contacted customer services I was shocked to learn they don't accept returns from International orders. This seemed crazy to me given the international world we live in and is also against UK law and the consumer rights act.

Only when I raised this point did they advise they would accept my return, but apparently I need to pay for the shipping. I will be contacting consumer rights to further understand my position.

I purchased a Hue Calpak Carry-on with front pocket. Thankfully I purchased the item with points and a gift card because it would have gotten sent back immediately. It’s cute but I question the stability of it and it’s very small inside. This is more for say a few days away, not for a week or two. No you would need an additional bag, which is different for me because my Samsonite carry on was all I needed. That being said the front pocket is an AWESOME idea and Calpak is very generous with the space. I just think it needs a bit more design work to make it spacious and still be a carry-on. Or perhaps make a bigger version of the carry-on that people can take on trains or put in their cars when no flying is involved? Just an idea Calpak.

Misleading description of the item- the company refused not even refund but exchange. Will never buy there again.

I would never purchase from Calpak again especially as a Canadian customer. There are no physical stores so your first purchase is on blind trust with a non returnable final sale for Canadian orders. It was my first time ordering from them. The mini diaper bag is much too small for practical use at a price tag of $270. It now cannot be refunded even to purchase a larger size. Additionally they have no in person customer service and is email only. This is a regrettable first purchase and never will I purchase from this company again.

I was so excited to receive my CALPAK cosmetic case, however I realised it was much bigger than anticipated, and so I asked to return it for a smaller one. However they do not accept international returns from the UK even though I would be covering the cost. I was not made aware of this before purchasing. Appalling customer service. I emailed them and received two replies informing me that it is written in the returns policy section of their website. Who actually reads this before needing to return something?! I have never before encountered a company that has this policy. I feel as if they are happy to take my money and could not care less that I am extremely unhappy.

My girlfriend’s package was marked as delivered, but when we checked it was missing / stolen.

We reached out to CALPAK and their response is complete nonsense. They sent her a message saying they won’t provide a refund or replacement because the delivery company provided proof of delivery.

They pretty much told her to take a hike nicely. Absolute bull crap! This is how you handle customer service?

Prioritizing yourself over the customer, no matter the situation, is unacceptable. You should always make the customer feel happy.

Horrible company, and I will not recommend them to anyone. Stick with Beis or Monos, they actually care about their customers.

Do not buy this bag if you need it to fit over the handle of your carry on suite case. The space is too narrow.

I’m writing this while traveling. The bag I purchased is just so uncomfortable. I usually use backpacks and thought I’d try something new. I’m suffering through this entire trip. Just buy a backpack. It was so expensive and I’m thinking of just leaving it somewhere . The bag itself weighs a bit and with things in it it’s just terribly uncomfortable

I had problems with my calpak stitching a few months after I got. They sent a replacement but then I had the same issues with the stitching coming apart. In addition, now my straps are tearing away from the pack. I don’t overpack the bag. I carry just my standard laptop and charger. For the price of these bags they do not last.

I have not used the luggage yet but the luggage is beautiful and shipped fast. The ease of purchase and savings offered were appreciated.

I bought a Calpak Terra 26L backpack for my study abroad to Ireland and it was absolutely perfect! I ended up buying a second when I returned!!

Calpak is AMAZING!
Best company I've had for bags, luggage, you name it.
Not only can you feel good about your purchase because they take discarded plastic bottles and make them into their products, but the vibrate colors don’t fade or discolor, what I thought who tear or snag seems indestructible, and I get SO many compliments!
I only travel with with my Calpak products! Both everyday sling and backpack! 😍😍

I bought my first bag from Cal pack and absolutely love it. The Luca bag is the perfect compliment to my carry-on luggage. I love it so much. I bought it in another color.

I bought the Luka bag and the quality is amazing. The bag is spacious and gorgeous. Also, the support team at Calpak is very fast with their responses and helpful. Will buy with them again!

Super awesome, I have the black duffel. Although there is some wear on the handle straps. The shoulder strap snapped... but they sent me a new one completely free. Awesome company so far, no complaints

I have two bags. The second bag which is a backpack. The strap is coming out from the seem. Yes defective. I got as a gift. I do not have a receipt. Calpak and I have been going back and forth with about 25 emails. They are not willing for me to ship back defective one so they can see it. It is less than a year old. ALL they care about is getting the receipt. What a joke this company is. I would NEVER order from this horrible company again and cheaply made products. Do the right thing was all I was asking. What a joke.

I ordered their yoga mat gym bag a while back and right away noticed that the bag is loose and almost flimsy, like it had been stretched out as a used bag by the previous customer who returned it, even though Calpak sold it to me at full price as though brand new.

I especially noticed a DISGUSTING STENCH in the bag like old, wet gym socks all over the inside and in the separated shoe compartment. I even tried to mask this by throwing in a loose piece of paper sprayed with perfume to keep inside. Did not help.

Calpak responded to my bad review and offered to either refund or replace the bag. I made sure to be clear that I wanted an actually brand new bag, not a used one, and that I was not going to pay the return shipping fee to send back their filthy product. Interesting thing is that Calpak did not bother make any effort to clarify that "No, we do NOT resell used items as brand new."

I now cannot find my original review on their website where I made this complaint several months ago, so I wonder if they took it down. Especially when it comes to items like gym equipment and certain clothing, customers have a right to know that they are being sold used items if a company such as Calpak is going to demand full-price payment.

Buyers beware.

Bought my suitcase from TK Maxx (UK) a few years ago — I use it to do art markets and general travel, it's been well and truly used and abused. The only thing that has worn out are the wheels, I contacted CALPAK recently as I heard they replace them, and they do! Once I sent pictures, to confirm the model, they sent me a set of brand new wheels all the way from Los Angeles, free of charge! They wheels were easy to swap over. I wish more companies were responsible like this so our things don't end up in landfill when they still have life left.

My very first purchase was back in April 2022, that was for the haven laptop tote bag in black. Since then I've been loving the luka collection (chocolate always!!) Not only does the duffel bag look beautiful, it holds all my essentials. I have multiple sizes and use the smaller ones for everything. Traveling out of state, or to the grocery store. Gives me peace of mind. :)
