UPDATE (Oct 29, 2026): If you are about to buy from Car City UK, read this first.

I bought a BMW M8 from them and exported it to cyprus. All my emails to the dealership and the WhatsApp messages to Daniel (the sales guy) are still unanswered. Their only reaction so far is the public reply below, telling me to contact management. I had already done exactly that before I ever posted this review. Two weeks after submitting this review, there is still no answer to any of it.

Their reply blames transit damage. Here is what the car actually came with:

- Four holes drilled into the boot from a previously mounted spoiler, covered up with a poor repair. Fixing it properly cost me around €1,000 and the car now has a repainted boot instead of original paint.
- A dent in the bonnet and a bonnet that doesn't close properly. You can see it in the photos on their own website. I raised this with Daniel before the purchase. He reassured that everything is perfect (It was not)
- A head-up display that doesn't work, documented in the car's fault memory.
- Plus a few smaller issues. I'll leave those out, the points above say enough.

None of this happened at sea and I am not talking about a few scratches here. All of it is documented with photos and records, just like every message I sent them.

Could I have done more due diligence before buying? Sure. I trusted what they told me and the reputation they have built.

I am not asking them for money. I am writing this so other buyers know what to expect: once the money is wired, nobody answers.
My Tip: Get every detail checked before you pay.

Been trying to contact the dealership as well as Daniel (the salesman) for almost 2 months now. Tried E-Mail, Whatsapp and their contact form.

Apparently they only respond if its about a sales inquiry and not about anything related AFTER the money has been wired.

Overall very very disappointing. The car had some issues that have never been disclosed and they dont care at all.

For a company that talks about transparency and how important service is thats bewildering.

They have nice cars though. Just be cautious about some surprises you might find out after buying the car and be aware that after sales support in non existing.

EDIT to the response:
I've tried contacting you every possible way and did not get any response. You have my contact info and can contact me any time. I even sent the management and daniel a message two weeks ago before posting anything online.

I am not talking about transport damage or scratches. I am talking about the boot being drilled from a previously mounted spoiler and the clear coat coming off and a very poor job that has been done trying to cover it up. If you still insist that the shipping company drilled intro the body of the car in 4 exactly measured places I just leave it up to the people reading this to make up their own opinion. :)

The issues are fixed already and this is not the point of my review. I am not arguing about a 1k repair job with you guys.

My review is about the non existing communication and the fact that no one at your dealership seems to care about customers once you got the money.

I bought a car a few days after the purchase I realised that in the MOT history it states that the car had driven over 83,000 miles as of 2022 and a year later the mileage was at 63,000, as a result of this I reached back to Car city UK and after checking the gearbox mileage it was confirmed that the mileage had not been rolled back, with history like this the car is basically unsellable for this reason the manager Simon said he would set the records straight and for that reason and that reason only I decided to keep the car as I was promised that the relevant documents and MOT history would be updated to the correct information after a month no action had been taken so I reached back, at which point I was told that he is the process of fixing it and he would require more time, after another month of no updated info I reached back again, however this time round I was met with a cold response of if your not happy go change it yourself, it is now been more than half of the year however nothing has changed and the last contact of Simon was in July, I am now stuck in the position of having paid £11,000 for a car that is now unsellable and no one is doing anything about it nor do they care, even though the promise of changing said documents was the deciding factor of me keeping that vehicle. To the manager Simon of Car city UK if you would like to respond to anything I have mentioned in this review please also let me know anything in this statement that I have lied about or made up.

The car was exactly as described and Daniel was really helpful I will definitely return in the future

Had the pleasure of dealing with Trevor during the purchase of my new BMW X4. Called on Monday, paid deposit on Tuesday and picked up the car today!

Trevor was fantastic during the sale and made sure none of my questions were left unanswered. Gave me a cracking price for part ex on my old X1 & sorted the X4 quickly to ensure the deal went through as planned.

Simon was also brilliant and really helped me get the best deal for my part exchange. I also asked for an MOT and an extra service to be done before I collected the car, and they sorted everything without hesitation. Every little mark I noticed on the car was taken care of too, and when I picked it up it was absolutely gleaming!

Recently purchased a car from Josh at Car City UK and from my initial enquiry all the way through to collecting the car I honestly could not fault the level of service I was provided. Josh answered every question in detail, sent me videos and pictures and provided updates whilst the car was being prepared, I only seen the car in person for the first time when I was collecting and Josh showed me around the car, explained the features and controls, let me test drive to make sure I was happy with everything before I drove away, thank you Josh for your help I love my new car :)
