Scammers! Thieves!
Never buy from these guys. Thieves! They sold me a faulty car, but they promised me it was a great car with no faults. I am trying to return the car within my by law 30 days. They just ignore me.

Safe, Skilled and Fair. Truly Exceptional.
Very rarely in a lifetime do you come across a company that is truly exceptional. The people of Bridgewater (Somerset) are so lucky - I hope they realise. As a service company the Central Motor Co are on my First-Port-Of-Call list - and are in fact top of my league of such companies. How so?
When you have experienced a front wheel bearing failing and your wheel falling off - you shiver at the consequences that might have been - you only want a really competent team to fix you. You can definitely trust this company. And the 'synergy' of this team is a marvel to behold - it is truly greater than its component parts. A company that is Safe, Fair and Skilled. Truly so. Here's why:
My breakdown company was initially refused by a different local firm who wouldn't touch this 'wheel problem' - which occurred after I had started my long trip back to London (however this 'refusal' company redeemed themselves later by doing the necessary tracking realignment.)
With no drama 'Andrew' of the Central Motor Co agreed to take the car and assessed my problem, and gave me a price 'range', which this side of disassembly seemed reasonable. I believe Andrew was the ever-present force in the background making sure things progressed as smoothly and efficiently as possible for the duration.
They were able to keep me on the ramp, I learned later, because they had completed several jobs for customers simply because their skill, time-management and expertise works in the customers' favour. Whilst you could never turn up and expect to be front of the queue - your chances of them being able to fit you in are improved because of the way this 'team' works.
It was third time lucky that a local spare-part firm delivered the correct part. This is a fact of life in the complex world of car components - but it is how the 'team' managed things in the meantime that was impressive.
'Bernie' was the mechanic assigned to my 'wheel'. Whilst waiting for the correct spare part, 'John' (a skilled local DIY mechanic) had arranged to bring in a rear axel (yes really!) for insertion of two bushes. His daughter's car had passed the MOT but with an advisory on the rear-axel bushing. He needed Bernie's expertise with the pulling device - otherwise he would have done it himself if he hadn't been under such time pressure.
Bernie slickly cleaned the housing, lubricated the bushes - and set up the pulling device - and had the bushes pulled in in a thrice! It was amazing to see - so amazing that John and I gave him a round of applause as they were elegantly pulled into their sockets! Pure poetry!
Bernie is 'ruled' by his torque wrench. Car mechanics are taught to use this device - but in my experience, you rarely ever see them being used - or even spot them on the work bench. He replaced the three bolts (that the breakdown guys had 'borrowed' from the other wheels to temporarily get the car on the trailer) and finally closed them down to a specific torque. He then just checked every other wheel bolt to confirm they were all safe too. He even went the extra mile to put back the trims - and an extra kilometer (!) to replace the cable ties that had originally been in place.
Believe me, when you've had a wheel fall off - or anything safety critical - you want a skilled mechanic you can trust like Bernie to not cut any corners. Bernie is very professional and skilled. He is beyond safe!
When my correct bearing arrived Bernie's torque wrench was ever present. Every bolt he touched was properly 'torqued'. His methodical cleaning and lubricating was a demonstration of professionalism and safety, which is why 'John' knows to trust him with his daughter's rear axel.
Bernie's time-management skills too are a considerable contribution to the synergy of the team that is the Central Motor Co.
All the while Adel enquires after your comfort in between fixing a customer's (impossible!) front light bulb.
After Bernie had completed the job - and I had sat in the office - he did a quick drive-test around the block for a final check.
At bill-payment time 'Adam' (the boss!) advised me what the cost was (below the estimate advised by Andrew). Even when I 'protested' that I had said I would pay the full quoted amount - he said it was a fair price for the way it had worked out. It is unheard of in my universe that this happens! I believe that Adam sets the 'ethos' of this company - he was in on his day off! They are that committed.
This treatment of customers just doesn't happen - it's exceptional, as I'm sure you'll agree.
It's the synergy of they way they all work as a team which ensured exceptional integrity and efficiency. If you are lucky (or unlucky!) to experience this, you are privileged - their focus on safety is uncompromising. Skill and fairness are a bonus.
So thank you: Adel, Bernie, Andrew and Adam.
