churchtown medical has gone absolutely appauling as of late. im 4 years with them and as of late although they close at 1pm-2pm for lunch i tried to call regarding blood test results and it went straight to voicemail to say they were closed for lunch and the time was 12:40 and this has happened on several occasions. i tried call today to book appointment and got told no availability to see a doctor for at least 2 to 2 and a half weeks. id either be better or dead by then.absolutely disgraceful no doubt to say il be most certainly moving gp practice

"Jess" the virtual receptionist is dreadful. I spent 45 minutes trying to book an appointment which the system failed to do, eventually stating "there is a technical problem" after I had gone through the process of giving all my details (and having them repeated back to me). It then said to contact the surgery directly which wasn't possible as the only option for booking an appointment directed me to the virtual assistant.
I eventually managed to leave a voice message using a different option. Not what you want when you are ill and just want to make an appointment to see a Doctor. I found the whole experience extremely stressful.
I would rather speak to a human being than waste my time with a virtual system that does not work.

My husband and I have always supported our GP practise, Churchtown Medical Centre, and we were aware that it struggled post covid but oh my word, it is more than back on track. In the past few weeks both of us have received top quality service and care from our doctor and been fast tracked for treatment. The Surgery is clean and organised with friendly staff, they have have one of the best online set ups I have used and we both feel we are in good hands and are very proud that we belong to this practise. My doctor was so welcoming and friendly and gave me the best outcome with little fuss and delay. Top marks CMC!
