My first order with City Cows took about a week which I had no problem with after talking to Nick to be informed he was busy at a show. I didn't enter my discount code at purchase online but Nick was very good to follow it up after I got my order and give me my 10 percent off. I'm very pleased with the quality of the hide as I wanted a hide similar to Zulu Unguni cows in South Africa with their amazing colours and names. I would purchase with city cows again

I bought both a medium berber rug and a couple of sheep skin rugs, excellent quality and speedy delivery.

No response to any emails regarding returns .The money this firm must be making from not returning customers money surely warrants an investigation by Authorities
Nick is a total conman ..Proudly told me he was at Blenheim Palace for the horse trials when i finally contacted him..

Been trying to get hold of this company for 2 weeks. Cowhide cube arrived smelling very damp and musty. No answer to numerous telephone calls nor to emails. Are they still trading?

Need a refund on Order Confirmation (#40971)

I wish I'd read the reviews. The cushions I ordered arrived but were not as described. Poorly packaged. Just shoved in a box with no protective covering over the cushions. Worse, only one side had sheepskin. The other was plain. I re-checked the photos and description on their website as I wouldn't have ordered them had this been known to me. This was not shown in the photographs or set out in the description. I feel like they have been mis-sold and mis-described. I doubt I'll even try and return them given the repeat complaints made by others here describing an appalling refund service. Do not use this company. Buy elsewhere.

I personally can not fault City Cows, Nick was helpfully when I wanted to swap my originally cow hide for another colour ( my fault for choosing the wrong colour ) came the very next day.

Ordered a quad sheepskin rug on 14/05/25. Delivery was 5-7 days. Received an email on 22/05 to say it had been shipped. Tracking didn’t work and DPD’s own website said that they had received order details, but not the parcel. Contacted City Cows on the 25th. They responded with that it would be dispatched on the 27th and it would be with me the next day. No apology, no explanation and no reply to my last email. Rug arrived on the 28th. Rug itself is fine, but I could have got the same one cheaper in a couple of days from Dunelm! City Cows sent an email asking me to review the product….the link that they sent didn’t work….says everything that you need to know about this company! Fortunately going directly to Trustpilot does work.

Ordered two sheepskin rugs from website 26 Feb, have never received them, called Nick who fobbed me off, and never called me back, he didn't reply to my email, I have had to get refund off Paypal - they are happy to take orders and payments on website, when rugs are not in stock - BEWARE

I ordered 3 products: White/Ivory Single Sheepskin Rug, a small cowhide bag and a big one. I love them all, gorgeous, very soft to touch, exactly as expected.

Ordered a berber rug in early January, which was delivered quickly and of reasonable quality.

However, I had to return it because it didn't fit the room, which I had confirmed with them via E-Mail and is ok according to their 14 day returns policy.

As soon as I had sent it back, they stopped responding to any e-mails and phone calls and haven't provided any refund for more than 2 months after they took delivery of the returned item.

Dreadful experience

Ordered taupe quad sheepskin
They sent out Vole quad sheepskin (much greyer)

I eventually returned under my own volition as their courier kept saying we weren’t in to collect (we were - camera evidence to prove)

Still awaiting refund - just truly awful service

Beware

I ordered the XXL sheepskin rug, which is actually just a standard size sheepskin rug & 2 matching cushions. The fur is not soft & the rug was terrible quality with bald patches around the edge where the fur did not fully cover the lining. I have emailed them twice to request a return but have had no response. I have also tried calling but no one answers. I am now sending all products back with signed for delivery, at my expense, and can only hope I receive my refund…although they only process refunds twice a month according to their website. Terrible products, terrible service & not particularly cheap!

I was sent someone else's order (gloves, when I ordered ear muffs). I have never had such difficulty in rectifying the problem, spoke to the owner on the phone who said he would send the correct order out but never did, I kept sending emails which were ignored. I had to go through PayPal in the end and even then he said he had refunded me when he had not so I has to keep pushing till I got the refund and he expected me to send the wrong item back at my expense!!

They do not respond to emails or calls. When I finally got through after numerous attempts I spoke with the owner who was so unbelievably rude! Customer service is clearly not their strong point. There is only a 2 week timeframe to return your order so shopping for Christmas is not advisable especially if you shop a week or two before Christmas. I was out of time to return my item. Would not shop there again nor recommend it.

Sent 7 e mails to both sales@ and info@ and they have replied to none. Been e mailing for 3 weeks now and explained I am deaf and can’t use the phone. Have been a loyal and regular customer for many years but will be going elsewhere now.

Getting a refund is impossible. I sent back £500 worth of goods. Proof of receipt 10th December but 4 weeks later still not received a refund on my account. I’ve called 3 times now and emailed customer services, but sill no luck. Do not use this company if you think you may need to return the items you have ordered.

My experience was appalling service. All chaser emails ignored, no refund given - had to invoke chargeback. If they managed comms in a smarter way and responded to my advice and guidance email they would have not have lost a sale, and I would have bought a replacement. They used to be a great company to do business with. If you want cowhide rugs TKMaxx are a great alternative, range is smaller but they mange customer comms and refunds much better. TKMaxx also pack items with care. My experiences (more than one) with City Cows is they shove them in a box with no packing/coverage.

great service, quick and efficient! The quality of the goods is excellent.

Firstly the good- ordering & subsequent acknowledgement was fine; the rug itself is just what I wanted & I'm very pleased with it. However, the delivery box was dreadful. It was dreadfully bashed; tired looking sellotape was vainly trying to hold it together yet failing & tufts of fur were sticking out. It didn't match the online description of delivery materials whatsoever. Worst delivery box I've ever had. Shame.
