I have used this dye for a number of years and this is the first time I have an all allergic reaction to this and I am having to take anti hysterme cause my face swelled hair came out and scalp itched

I have been using hair dye on my hair for years and have never had a problem before. I normally using Castings hair dye which always gives a lovely finish. Also used Olia Nutrisse and another brand. I could not find my usual shade so decided to try this brand. I left it in my hair for the suggested time but when I went to rinse it out my hair was coming out in handfuls! I was shocked! My hair is still falling out more than usual even now 10 days later! I can see where it has literally snapped off as I have 2 inches of hair in areas around my scalp! The dye was rubbish too as can already see grey hairs coming through and I have only washed it 3 times. Worried about using any dye now in case damages it further. Worst hair dye I have ever used in 20 years. Avoid!

My natural colour is very light brown. I googled Ash Blonde to check out what colour my hair would turn out, “very light white blonde with darker roots and grey undertones” perfect. Purchased 9A Light Ash Blonde. My hair is now a light to medium brown, slightly darker than my normal colour. So disappointed, now have to pay out for a hairdresser to at least tone it down and pop some high lights in, £5 for dye, £80 for hairdresser grrrrr.

I have used permanent hair dye for 3 decades. I bought Nice and Easy 6R 3 days ago. My scalp was burned terribly. I have blisters all over.
You did something to the formula and it should be taken off the shelves Urgently!

I was 18 when I first started using Nice & Easy I have used it constantly over the years, I’ll be 73 next month, I have on a couple of times tried a different brand, but they do not compare with Nice & Easy my first colour I used was natural dark auburn, I used that colour for many years, when I got to 40 I started using the lighter colours, I now use a dark blond, even at my age my hair is thick and luxurious, many people comment on it, so after 55 years of near constant use it has only benefited my hair.

After using nice and easy for years using g the new formula isn’t as good I will be changing to another brand so disappointing after years of use .

Having used Clairol Nice'n'Easy hair colour (permanent one) for many years, I got fed up with the constant changes in formula and not being able to find the same colour two times running. Nevertheless I really liked the product and put up with such frustrations. However, this last change in formula, from liquid to creme is the worst. I've used it less because of lockdowns - who cared what we looked like; we weren't going anywhere - but the colour always comes out much darker than the same grade previously, yet doesn't last as well, hence the few inches close to the roots are lighter so I may as well grow grey anyway! The first time I used the new formula, my hair felt horrible; dull and stripped of its usual gloss (my hairdresser had always commented what good condition it was in). No more! Within a day of shampooing now it is dull, flat and lifeless. I thought perhaps it was my age, or maybe some time-of-covid-induced psychological condition, a bit like alopecia, since my hair was coming out in handfuls. That's why I decided to see if there were any reviews of this product anywhere online. I am shocked by the number of people who have mentioned thinning hair - my heavy, thick head of hair must have reduced by 20% in the past 2 years. I've not experienced the itching or burning that others mention but the effects are certainly similar. This confirms my instinct that I should never use this product again - trouble is, how will I know when another similar product suits me when my hair is in such bad shape?

Used frost and tip for years love the colour and always great results but what has happened to the hooks?
They are so weak now and frustrating they used to be so strong
Just did my hair and had to buy a chochet hook

It's even better than actual hair dyes but if you’ve got lots of greys you might need more than one box.

Used this believing it was a natural product so therefore it would be gentle on my hair.
Absolutely devastated my hair is falling out,I had long thick hair but now you can actually see through it.
I thought I was ill with some awful disease but it’s using clairol that has caused this,no warning anywhere on the package or instructions that this could happen.

Couldn’t tell I had even put a dye on my hair, let alone it covering any grey hair. I had some of the formula left so tried again later in the day and just concentrated on my grey hair at my roots - absolutely no effect whatsoever.

I’ve used Clairol Nice and Easy for 55 years, same colors. About 5 years ago or so they must have changed the product, because for the first time I noticed burning sensation when I applied and was left with a scalp that itched for weeks afterward with little bumps and scabs. It is getting worse and I’m now afraid to use it anymore, though I want to continue coloring my roots. I love my hair color and get compliments on my hair even at my age. What should I try next?

Terrible hair dye. I used the natural instincts range. I've always dyed my dye myself. 17 years in fact and never have I had a reaction like this. 10 weeks post dying and my scalp is still irratated and itchy. My doctors have prescribed me some scalp steriods now. I have lost id say about 20% of my hair, its thinned out alot at the crown and I just keep losing hair! What the hell do you add to your hair dyes? these shouldn't be allowed on the shelves! So upsetting. Will never use your products again after this.

Just tried root touch and my hair is shedding for months and it is very dry. If you dont want your hair to shed ALOT dont use it

Hi everyone, I am so happy to be able to use a hair dye again. I am allergic to every other brand except Clairol and I am thrilled that I can now do my own T Sections at home. Great during Covid19 Lockdown. The colour I used was Extra Light Blonde, 9.5 and although it didn't blonde my regrowth quite enough, I am still pleased with the result and will try and buy a lighter Clairol colour to take my root regrowth to a slightly lighter blonde. I am giving Clairol Extra Light Blonde 9.5 5 stars because I got a pretty good result without an allergic reaction, and the conditioner that came in the box really smoothed my hair. I recommend shaking the bottles before starting to ensure that all the active ingredients are in the fluid when it is applied to your hair. I recommend Clairol hair products. 5 stars

I had purchased the Clairol root touch-up concealing powder (light brown) and must say I am very disappointed with the size of the product - the box is 14 cm X 6.5 cm in size and in this large box there was a 11 cm X 4.5 cm black case and the actual size of the product is 4.5 cam X 1.5 cm - to me this is deceptive advertising - very little product with a very large case and an even larger box - the brush is actually twice the size of the actual product. Needless to say I am very disappointed with the size of the product.

I bought Clairol auburn root touch up on 25.8.21 3 days ago at Big W Loganholme and it turned yellow in the container before I applied it and is still that colour an hour later. receipt store 0274 086 9072 15.26 25/8/21

I've just used this product and my hair was falling in chunks. Horrible product DO NOT USE IT!

Clariol root touch up does absolutely nothing.
Like if you put nothing
Doesn’t cover any greys at all
I tried to leave it in even longer like 40 minutes. No changes

I have dyed my hair for years. This burned my scalp and I preformed an allergy test that was negative.
I had to wash it out before the time because it was Burning me. Now I have scalp burns.
