Avoid Disappointment
Having stayed at the Cliffs Hotel in the past, we were hoping for another pleasant visit. Unfortunately, this time was quite the opposite. While the dining hall remained a clean and well-kept exception, the rest of the hotel fell dramatically short of acceptable standards.
The room was uncomfortable and felt poorly maintained. What was particularly unsettling was the advice given not to keep valuables in the room—hardly reassuring and certainly not what you'd expect from a trusted establishment.
Most concerning was the pervasive smell of cannabis throughout the corridors, which became chokingly unpleasant. This wasn’t just our experience—several other guests were openly commenting on the same issue, making it clear it was a widespread concern.
Overall, the entire place appeared unloved and in need of a thorough deep clean. The state of the hotel severely tarnished fond memories from previous visits.
We won’t be returning.
