Very nice and solid made portable espresso maker. Since I bought my Coffejack via kickstarter, I completely understood the patch customer service. For me, this has no influence on my overall appreciation of product quality, delivery information on shipment, packaging, etc.

Any small company, especially one that's trying to create and grow itself through crowdfunding, is going to run lean, trying to meet the high demand of manufacturing, operations, finance, customer service, and HR with few employees wearing multiple hats.

Even the best small fast growth companies are going to struggle a little with some parts of their operations at product launch because of the sudden burst in activity. No matter how well a company this size plans ahead, there's going to be challenges in every aspect of pre- and post- product launch.

So, I get it when other crowdfunding "customers" (really, "investors" though most of us don't think of ourselves as risk-accepting investors) complain about a company.

But my experience with CoffeeJack, while not as fast as customer service in large companies with well established customer service operations, still proved to be exceptional, and CoffeeJack went above and beyond to help me with my issue.

In my case, the package was delivered with a large hole in it and several parts missing. Thankfully, the most expensive components were still in the package, but several peripheral items were missing.

It took nearly 3 months of reaching out over and over through different comm channels (via email, via the old website, via the kickstarter comments), before finally getting a response. This was also understandable because my package arrived fairly early in the multi-stage process for the kickstarter backer shipments, so customer service at CoffeeJack was pretty busy trying to get all the orders done for all backers (a complicated and chaotic process).

When they finally did get back to me, they could have handled my issues a number of different ways, but instead, they chose to provide me with the best possible outcome I could have hoped for.

Kudos to the CoffeeJack team. For a small company, in midst of an incredibly busy post-launch period, they found the time to give me the kind of customer service that typically only veteran B2C companies can provide.

Super gear! Coffeejack v2 Pro is a solid, easy to use and maintain espresso machine that gives you the choice to do espresso as you like it. The machine does not limitate, it's gives opportunieties to search the best shots for you and every coffee lovers!

This is for CJ2, which should be drastically different from CJ1.

To score perfect 5 stars, not only the product, it’s value as well as customer service (responsiveness, on point / on time problem resolution) will all need to be perfect.

Product: definitely well thought out and robustly constructed- heavy duty. Does what it intended to do.

Customer service: responsiveness lacks a bit due to their very lean crew.

Root cause to problems are usually fast to be identified. Solutions delivered takes very long time.

Value for the money- right on, not exceeding and not below.

Very good custumer service, A+ product. Really having fun to have espresso on my camping adventures.

My item was stolen from my doorstep because the courier failed to leave in a safe place. This is obviously not Coffeejack’s fault but it IS their responsibility. I have sent numerous messages on their website. There is no direct email address - even when they email you to ask for feedback, the response is directed to a “no reply” address which returns as undeliverable. I didn’t buy from kickstarter, I paid real money to a professional-looking company for an item that I expected to receive. The failure of this company to act with integrity, make themselves available and answer customer enquiries is unacceptable. There is no point in making an amazing machine, if you squander goodwill in dreadful customer service.
I would not buy from them again, and would advise others to avoid

This company is an absolute SCAM! I bought the V1 travel pack at £200. It squirts coffee all over, completely faulted. I contacted them and they DO NOT even bother to reply despite numerous attempts. They do not answer emails pointing to the chatbot and they do not reply to the chatbot conversation. I am now applying for a charge back from my bank. DO NOT BUY!

Do not buy from this company. I was sold a faulted machine and they wont answer my request for a refund! There is no one I can call for assistance. An absolute SCAM!

Ordered one after I heard about it and was very interested. But it was not delivered, even after 2 weeks. Contacted them on different ways - no reply. Still no delivery or reply so far (more than 4 weeks) and no refund. Very disappointing.

Update 24.09.26: After some time Coffejack took contact and said sorry - they said they had technical issues. They gave me a refund and offered a new Coffe Jack.

I loved my original version of the CoffeeJack, and had no hesitation in pledging for the updated v2. Wow! Stunningly impressive. A squeak developed fairly early on, but after returning my unit to CoffeeJack they not only identified the fault (the wrong choice of lubricant of a key thread when moving from pre-production testing to mass-production) but having done so, took steps to provide a maintenance kit and tools for all then c. 3,500 backers, so that the problem could be eliminated. All future purchases will now have the modification done before dispatch. I have personally been involved in helping with the comments on the Forum, and a Community of very happy CoffeeJack users is developing.

I like my coffeejack, but I have a small issue. However they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE whatsoever. It is impossible to contact them and find out how to solve my issue.

Am very impressed by the quality of the coffee coming out trom CoffeeJack 2, very enjoyable! One thing the owner can make it better is to see how can make the body more stable, the grip is nice but not enough. Having said that, at this price point its worth the money!

Good: When the unit works, the coffee and crema is amazing.
Bad: Unit squeaks at high pressure. The previous CoffeeJack tamper and stand do not fit and the unit is too heavy to hold comfortably. I'm going to have to figure out how to make a stand...

I've tried using the Coffee Jack V2 several times since I got it, and I'm gradually getting better at making delicious espresso. I'm enjoying the process of experimenting, and I'm satisfied with the quality and design of the Coffee Jack V2.
There are two issues. First, when the pressure increases, turning the lever causes a squeaking noise. Second, it’s difficult to clean the rubber parts. Also, because my hands are small, it’s hard to hold the Coffee Jack V2 down when the pressure gets high, so I wish the body were a little slimmer.

This is the best. I bought a product to make espresso at home for the first time. I carefully read the detailed manual that comes with the product and tried making espresso. After a few attempts, I was able to consistently make high-quality espresso. Since this product arrived, I have not been drinking coffee made with anything else because I like it so much. I feel that the quality of all the parts that make up this product is very high. Honestly, I didn't expect this level of quality from products outside of my country, Japan, but it exceeded my expectations. Since this product does not have any electric parts, it seems like it will last a long time. There is a set of sealing rubber sold for long-term maintenance. I purchased the home preparation bundle, full seal replacement kit, and microfiber towel. I have everything I need. I am looking forward to new products from the manufacturer in the future. Thank you!

I received my unit and the packaging was damaged, the Creator specifically said that they were going to address the damaged packaging issue. doesn't seem that they did. I started using my unit and it makes horrible. Squeaking sounds at higher pressure, I reached out to the Creator and received no reply so decided to open it up and try and fix the problem myself. Several days after I open my unit up I received an email saying that there were these problems and to not open the unit up. After that I reached out again and have yet to receive a response.
Very disappointing customer service and especially considering the campaign raised over 2 million of my local currency 👎👎

The 2x coffee glasses we ordered both have small holes in the bases of them.
They steam up when a hot liquid is put in them and this leaves permanent condensation marks.
(Like a double-glazed window that has lost its vacuum seal)
Will be returning the product and expecting a full refund.

It's so easy to use and I always get amazing results.

Finally received my Coffeejack V2 on 30 Apr 2026. I did not receive any tracking details of the delivery but fortunately all items came in order. I opted for the full accessory set with additional WDT tool.
The cnc construction on the machine was really well made but I do note there was noticable new rubber odour on the rubber grip sleeve and also on the rubber gaskets. The rubber mat as part of the accessory also had the same odour. I used boiling water with a little detergent to clean all parts that will come in contact with coffee during brewing process. The new rubber odour was more or less removed after the cleaning and I believe was be totally gone after some more cycles of brewing and cleaning.
I have pulled a total of 4 shots up till the time of this review. My 1st shot pulled at 0 bar throughout the process because I didn't grind fine enough. My 2nd shot failed to pull through due to grind size being too fine but I was cautious not to cause overpressure to the machine. 3rd shot was getting better where I managed pull 3 to 5bars with a little crema appearing after adjusting to a grind size between my 1st and 2nd shot. 4 shot was perfect with a layer of crema pulling around 5 to 7 bars after fine tuning to a slightly lower grind size.
The brewing experience is so fun and intuitive as long as you understood the concept after reading the instructions while it also have lots of potential to experiment with different brewing techniques. I really love the coffeejack V2 design and easy to clean setup!
So far the rubber gaskets are still holding up and I certainly hope that they last long enough. Only time will tell!

Purchased a CoffeeJack portable espresso machine a while back. After approximately 10 uses, it failed to produce coffee despite repeated pumping efforts. Since my initial complaint more than a year ago, I have provided photos, videos, and detailed descriptions as repeatedly requested by representative Ashley, yet no replacement or refund has been forthcoming.
This handling falls far short of professional standards and fails to honor basic warranty obligations. Numerous similar customer experiences are documented online. I strongly advise against purchasing from CoffeeJack.
