Excellent shop such good value always a really good choice sometimes to many iv tried things now I've never had before. Great shop now do my weekly shop there.

St helens is a lovely clean, friendly shop. Always plenty of choice across the shop. Prices and offers are clearly marked. Reductions are announced so I dont miss them

I recently joined for the Dudley store as I now have a Blue Light card. I had heard lots of things about Company Shop but until recently I wasn’t eligible to join, so I was really happy to be eligible.
Membership was very easy and straightforward. After completing online at around 11am on the Saturday I was told it would take up to 4 working days to hear whether membership would be accepted. However, to my surprise I woke up around 6.30am the Sunday morning to find an email saying I was accepted and to take my documents to my nearest store.
Staff were so informative and I have yet to meet a member of staff that is not polite, helpful or professional.
I love going in to see what stock they have in. I was surprised to find so many top brands and high end supermarket stocks at extremely high quality, but also a fraction of the price in stores.
It really is a pleasure to visit at least on a weekly basis, and I have nominated my Husband and Mom, who are equally as impressed to visit.
I have already recommended Company Shop to others and reminded others who are members but not visited for a while to go back. I will continue to recommEnd those that are eligible to join and visit. Thank you.

Friendly helpful staff clean store wide variety of products

I recently joined the membership for the Renfrew store, and was pleasantly surprised by the range of products; often from major retailers like M&S, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Tesco etc. and the savings which they offer. It is a good concept, and one which I wish I joined sooner.

Upon joining I took my UK Passport, Proof of Residence and Proof of Income. The lady at the service desk took my photo but then said she couldn't issue a membership card as their printer isn't working. I have been back a few times since and, lo and behold, the printer still hasnt been fixed. That isn't the greatest 'first impression' is it? I mean, if I didn't have my ID upon joining, they wouldn't have entertained me for membership, would they?

Other issues, the location is a bit out-of-the-way as it is situated in a run-down former retail park with nothing else nearby; and the car park has many potholes.

However, if you can accept that its a no frills shopping experience where you'll find a few bargains, this might be the place for you.

They do not deliver so are anti disabled - and not local so after paying transport you will be worse off - DONT BOTHER

Everytime ive been the range and quality of food has been great and lower prices than you pay in the supermarkets i just wish the store wasn't nearly 1 hour from me, but still love going.

This review relates specifically to the Company Shop store in Middleton.
I raised a complaint about how I was treated by a member of staff at this store and the outcome was that my membership was cancelled.
During my visit I was spoken to in a way I found belittling and was shouted at in front of other customers. I later saw the same staff member discussing me with colleagues in a public area of the store, which felt humiliating and completely unprofessional.
Instead of a transparent investigation into what happened, I was told the decision to cancel my membership was “discretionary”, that no details of the allegations would be shared with me, and that there is no appeal process.
Since then I have emailed the company twice asking for acknowledgement and asking for the matter to be reviewed by senior leadership. I have received no response.
I served 10 years in the Armed Forces and now work within the NHS, but more importantly I am simply a member of the public who expected basic respect when shopping and when raising a concern.
Company Shop is used by many people trying to stretch their budgets, including families and vulnerable members of the community. If someone who is prepared to raise concerns can have their membership removed in this way, it raises serious questions about how complaints are handled and what happens to people who feel less able to speak up.
Customers deserve respect, transparency, and fair treatment when they raise concerns. That was not my experience at the Middleton store

The company shop is incredible with so many bargains to be had. The meat is amazing and we got some free bananas so was able to make some very cheap banana pancakes and banana bread. We even managed to get my oat milk at 1/3 of the cheapest price I pay in the supermarkets, what a steal! It is good quaility food at prices we can actually afford. No going hungry after a Company Shop

Top class in everyway. Great prices for excellent products. Nice friendly helpful staff. Easy car parking. Pleased to recommend this store.

Its brilliant, there is always lots of.things to choose from at great prices, part of why I enjoy going is not knowing whats going to be there it has made us think of different recipes, ways of preserving and pickling things, some of the meat is of exceptional quality, wagu steaks and corn fed chicken on my last visit both at half shop price. Its really made a difference to our budget and what we eat and no review of the company shop should be made without mentioning the team that work there, always welcoming, helpful and friendly.. well worth signing up for and give it a go, think of different ways to use food and help reduce food waste.. well done company shop you are doing an amazing job

Fabulous place and i highly recommend as a means of saving money - perhaps not everything you are looking for, but you will find a lot of other everday items that are so much cheaper eg bread at 40p!
