Fraudulent business will take your money and refuse you a receipt and service. They do not do anything in writing and do not answer your calls after payment.

this place is amazing! I cannot thank you all enough for the repairs that you had made on my Dodge Journey! I am highly recommending you to anyone that I meet who needs their car taken care of! You guys bent over backwards for me and helped me try every avenue possible to get me and my car back on the road safely! Thank you! Thank you! Thank You!!!!!!!!!

I took my vehicle there for a simple repair they wanted charge me $300. For the repair. Then the service manager called and said my trans was slipping and needed a transmission. I did not take my vehicle there for anything to do with my transmission slipping. He said there was a code that stated that the repair was needed. At that time I wanted to get second opinion. Do I took my vehicle to another repair shop. They did the original repair for $65. And said nothing was wrong with my transmission. I would be careful bring your vehicle here.

Is it customary to be told no bankcard bring cash. This does not seem professional

Unacceptable experience, unable to fix the root cause of the problem, changed OEM parts with used/aftermarket parts and yet charged more than the dealer's cost of repair, unreasonable long time turnnover (almost three months) and rude conduct of office personnel. Would not recommend or do business here again!!!

You can truely trust this Cottman Man! I had my transmission repaired and now it feels like new. Sean saved me from buying a new car. Whole experience was fantastic. Very professional, trustworthy, timely and friendly. Would highly recommend them to everyone. Thanks Cottman Transmission! I'm back on the road again!

IM OUT OF STATE RIGHT NOW IM STILL HAVING PROBLEM WITH MY REBUILD TRANSMISSION WENT I AM BACK TO THE STATE YES I WILL BRING IT BACK TO THE GARAGE AS SOON I AM COMING BACK HOME

The shop handle the work on our car in a professional and expedient manner. When returned it was fixed and we have had no issues with the transmission since.

I had a 2002 Ford Explorer. Had one of those great sealed transmissions requiring no maintenance for up to 150000 miles. Well at 74000, it went. Took it to Cottman in Emmaus. I had an extended warranty and they worked with the warranty company to arrange the repair. They did a great job rebuilding it so much so that I ran this truck for another 205000+ miles on that rebuild (I also did routine transmission maintenance after that repair). I recently experienced another transmission problem with over 280000 miles. Things are bound to happen when you get the mileage up to this level. The only place I thought of taking it was to Cottman Transmission in Emmaus. Why would I take it anywhere else when they do such quality work. I had a free assessment of the problem the same day and an estimate for the repair. My decision was not to invest in the repair and arranged to donate the vehicle to charity. The staff there was very pleasant to work with and I was not pressured to repair the vehicle. I would recommend them to everyone, kind, courteous, quality work, timely repair and fair pricing. If you need a transmission repair in the Lehigh Valley, GO THERE.

Took my car here in June 2016. They had my car 5 days and charged me $3500.00. From the very day I drove away it had problems. Slipping gears, check engine light coming on, vibrating and even not shifting at all unless I used the manual overdrive that my car luckily has! Took the car back multiple times only to hear this part or that part must have been defective and they replaced it. Still to no avail as my check engine light continues to come on and the vibrating got worse. One time I took it back and struck a deal with them so they would not have to pay for a rental car for me... that they would take me to work and pick me up; they used my own car to take me to work (which wasted an hour of mechanics time), and they never showed up to pick me up. I had to call and they acted like they didn't know they were supposed to pick me up! Once again I find that my vehicle would not be done on time and they would have it another day. It is now November 2016 and they actually ordered an entire new (rebuilt) tranny from the dealership. I rented a car and dropped the car off expecting my car in two days as promised and AGAIN it is not completed. We have been more than patient, but the continual lies and lack of any type of actual mechanical service to my vehicle is ridiculous! I would never recommend this company to anyone, and in fact I am telling any and all my friends and family to pass the word to never go here!
