Using ČSOB felt like a constant fight with basic banking. Contactless payments randomly stopped working, and the final straw was an ATM keeping my card during a completely normal €10 withdrawal. No warning, no explanation — just another failure.
On top of that, the staff at the branch were completely unhelpful, and everything took way longer than it should. Simple issues turned into long waiting times and unnecessary back-and-forth.
At some point I realized I was dealing with bank problems more often than checking Instagram notifications. And if a bank causes more daily stress than social media, something is seriously wrong.
A bank should be boring and reliable. ČSOB is neither. Meanwhile, Tatra banka just works — no drama, no surprises, no wasted time. I’m done with ČSOB and won’t be coming back.

Tohle hodnocení píší jako "prémiový klient", který má úžasnou osobní bankéřku, ale ani ta nemůže vyřešit špatné služby tohoto ústavu. Vše je v pořádku dokud něco nepotřebujete řešit, reklamovat, nebo Vám někdo strhne neoprávněně peníze z kreditní karty, potom začne úžasné byroktratické kolečko, jehož výsledkem je vždy zamítavá odpověď, a Vy že chcete rozbít vše kolem sebe, zvláště když si uvědomíte, že vše píšete ve volném čase zatímco oni jsou za to placení. Ušetřete si čas a nervy a běžte jinam.

I left my card in a restaurant, the restaurant phoned the bank to ask them how to return it to me. The bank just blocked my card (I managed to retrieve it only to find it wasn't working). I recently went into debit by 5000ckz (because of a direct debit I have to a CSOB investment fund), rather than not take the money, they took it and then blocked my card for 3 days because I was in debit. Now I have £6k GBP in my account and can't access it.

Banka vůbec netuší, co je to loajalita vůči klientům. Nelegálně mě nahlásila inkasní společnosti v době probíhající reklamace, která řešila směšný poplatek 1 euro za mezinárodní devizový účet, který ovšem narostl na mnohem větší částku. Tento devizový účet byl součástí mého Premium Banking a měl být bez poplatku. Později banka zavedla za účet poplatek a nikdy mě o této změně neinformovala. Ani jsem nevěděl, že je mezinárodní účet stále otevřený –protože jsem svůj Premium Banking účet uzavřel v roce 2022 – předpokládal jsem, že ukončení účtu znamená uzavření všeho, co k němu patří. Zjevně ne. Překvapuje mě, že vás o takové věci vůbec neinformují při zavírání hlavního účtu. Nikdy neodpovídají na otázky, které jim položíte při reklamaci. Už nikdy jejich služby nevyužiji. Tato banka žije ve 90. letech. Raději vyzkoušejte moderní banku, například AirBank nebo Revolut. Dokonce i Česká spořitelna je progresivnější než oni. Zkrátka naštvat si klienta, který si v budoucnu mohl vzít hypotéku nebo velký úvěr, kvůli jednomu euru – tak to mi příjde totálně krátkozraké.
Nejironičtější na tom všem je, že jsem pro ně roky dělal reklamní spoty a další materiály, ve kterých se holedbali jak jsou vstřícní a proklientský :DDD

The bank has no idea what customer loyalty is. They illegally reported me to a debt collector in the middle of a dispute/claim process, which was a dispute over a 1 euro international account charge. That account came with my Premium Banking and was supposed to be for free. Later they introduced a fee for the account and never informed me about this change. I wasn't even aware of the international account still being opened because I closed my Premium Banking in 2022 - so I assumed that closing the account means closing everything that came with the package. Clearly not. I am surprised that they don't inform you about such a thing in the moment you are closing the main account. They never answer the questions you ask them when you start a claim. I will never use their services again. This bank live in the 1990's. Try a modern bank instead like AirBank or Revolut. Even Česka Spořitelna is more progressive then they are. In short, to anger a client who might have taken out a mortgage or a large loan in the future, all over a missing one euro payment – that seems completely short-sighted to me.
The most ironic part is that I spent years creating their commercials and other materials, in which they boasted about being friendly and customer-focused. :DDD

Really sub-standard for today's banking world. A lot of the digital services are only available to Czech citizens. They boast about the extra support to premium account holders (accounts that require you to have substantial money coming in on a monthly basis), but in my experience this support is worse than what you get on a basic package with other banks. Your "personal banker" treats you like a nuisance.

The worst bank of all the times CSOB Slovakia. Not only the bank decided to close my account without my knowledge but as well holds my money even though my father has full power of attorney over my account and they need my personal signature. I live abroad and unfortunately cannot come to my country. Maybe I was not bringing enough money to the bank so I’m not worth to have an account there

Neskutočne dlhá čakacia doba v banke na pobočke (niekoľko hodín). Bankový účet sa nedá zavrieť online.

You pay the insurance in advance. If you decide to change insurers in the middle of the year, they will not allow you to do so and will not refund your money. The only reasons I will accept are: change of ownership, placement of registration plates in a deposit or liquidation. I don't understand, terrible. Anyway, I switched to KOOP, better client zone, price and service.

I do not understand the low score here.

I love CSOB. I have been having accounts for years. Even if sometimes other banks are offering me better interest, and the fact that I am using several banks for personal, business etc, so I tried most of the banks on the market, I have never left CSOB as my primary financial institution.

I really like the app also.

This bank is so unprofessional, its embarrassing, there is no customer service, it does not exist.Having requested to block my bank card, the person who i spoke to did not inform me that I needed to ask for a new card to be sent to me. For the simple reason is in England you would be sent a new card automatically. The women who I spoke to did not tell me I had to ask for a new bank card ??. I think the words of circus and clowns comes to mind.

Bydlím v Seattle. Problém s CSOB začal když jsem
koupil nový mobil. Zadal jsem špatně heslo třikrát
a byl jsem zablokovaný. A teď začal ten začarovaný
kruh.Odblokováni jde jen přes telefon. To je drahá
položka,Trefit se do evropského času,volat jedině
v noci našeho času. Po dovolání jsem byl odkázán
na pobočku v Brně. Tam mně odkázali zpátky, na
předchozí číslo,snažili se mi pomoci,změnit heslo
ale to nejde protože Smart Key je na starém mobilu
a Smart Key nejde aktivovat bez hesla na CSOB Smart
které potřebuji změnit a to je ten začarovaný kruh.
Řešení s CSOB, koupit letenky za tři tisíce dolaru
a přijet do banku.To nemůže banka poslat konfirmačni
cod přes sms na změnu hesla tak jak to dělá vetšina
bank. Kdo mi v tomto pomůže?

Webové stránky - poměrně přehledné
Internetové bankovnictví - vše ok používám poměrně rád.
Praktiky banky - nevybočují z toho co známe u ostatních bank, není to tedy nic vyloženě špatného, ale ani nic extra dobrého.
Banka jako taková je lepší průměr, nenadchne a ani neurazí.
Mobilní aplikace pro internetové bankovnictví by už dneska měla být dál, v minulosti také donutily všechny uživatele poměrně násilnou formou přejít na nový způsob ověřování a na novou aplikaci, která nebyla hotová a měla poměrně otřesné UI.

Absolutni neschopnost vyresit problem ze zahranici, nakonec vam lzou a reknou at si priletite do CR problem vyresit.

We had hereditary succession after our Father dead, we fill all documents in bank 2 weeks ago however the bank transfer was not done yet.
The bank told us that probably it will take 1 month!!!!!
If they lend money to us they charge us with interest, If they keep our money "ist ok"!!!! There us nothing ok.

Ignorace a totální nezájem o zákazníky. Takhle zkostnatělá instituce plná zaměstnanců bez náznaku ochoty a snahy být tu pro lidi si nezaslouží naše peníze. Nevěřím vám a hned jak z vás dostanu své peníze zpět, utíkám ke konkurenci. Je mi z vás zle

Absolutní pohroma jak jednají se zákazníky! Po 7 letech jsem se vrátil ze zahraničí a ČSOB byla moje nejhorší možná volba. K zákazníkům se chovají jako dobytci a s nikým se o ničem nebaví. Po x měsících penzijního spoření, aniž by mě někdo kontaktoval mi poslali vypovězení ze smlouvy. Sice důvodu, který mému spoření brání, rozumím, ale to jakým stylem ve oznámí a “táhněte”? Nestalo se mi to poprvé a na mailu vás odbydou úplně stejně. Prostě zájem o zákazníky - NULA. Můj zájem o ně už také nula. Doporučuji jakoukoliv jinou banku, bude lepší než tihle arogantní nemehla.

Bank I have visited while travelling Czech republic, met english speaking manager who helped me with my problem. On the other hand bad spot prices and mediocre commission

This bank has super bad service. Hard to get anyone to speak English.
It also seems that they do not ID check their customers. There was a big ONLINE SCAM from one of their customers and they have not been able to prevent it or help the victims reclaim the lost money. It seems they actually do not have any power to prevent fraud and support it by not properly verifying their customers.
