I was seriously injured by a dog while delivering mail 17/9/91.my knee cap was dislocated leaving me with life changing injuries for which I have had 4 operations to date.the cwu union inflicted simpson millar on me.years wasted were not working on my behalf but following their own agenda finally telling me to put in writing that I had made a full recovery which I refused as I had not so they told the union they could not work with me as I would not cooperate with them.i found out maybe 20+ years later what was going on,there was a guidelines for general damages booklet that lists damages if a full recovery is made.if you had consequential damages due to lost income/change of job or suffered permanent disability like me they didn’t want to go after them.then blame me.and if you fall out with one firm of solicitors and go to another god help you as they will put you through hell to protect the first.i went to solicitors complaints bureau/office for the supervision of solicitors as it was who will protect solicitors and cover up certainly not tell you that it was about the guidelines book or tell solicitors to do their job right.now solicitors regulation authority which if you look at trustpilot are totally useless.totally corrupt system.and if this sounds bad the people in the union overseeing this actually let it happen.thats mr.preece and mr.rupa of cwu legal dept.

All the reviews are correct. Responded to all my emails before signing up. When I signed up. They didn't respond to anything I sent. I cancelled my account. Once I cancelled my account I asked for reimbursement for my money as they provided me no help or response. And made up a lie that they told me on the phone they could not help me as my issue was before signing up

Cancelled my membership with union. I was paying full membership fee but the service received was extremely basic

The worst union ever, I wasted my money for 4 years and when I needed help, they wouldn’t answer the emails or calls. I now lost my job and they are not even helping with the tribunal process. Don’t waste your money!

Dreadful Save your money. You will find reps here who take the boss home and to work every day. Reps who slag off members they do not like. Reps who apply for reps jobs so that they have the protection and you don't. Reps who ignore the members. Never been in such a disinterested union as this one. They talk the talk but Royal Mail just walks all over them. Most of the good perks have been eroded and the CWU seem to just let it happen.
