Demands Down Payment to See Contract
TLDR: Hyundai Shipping USA Inc. demands down payment before you can see the contract. Both on the website and in communications, we were told that we would need to fill out an itemized form of belongings to get an estimate and contract. Once we provided the the requested documentation (which included sensitive information, e.g., passport details), we were then told that we could not see the contract until after we transferred a down payment. The moment I mentioned I am a transactional attorney and that I have every right to see the contract before payment, I was told to find a different service and the representative hung up. There is no legal basis to require me to pay before I see a contract
